I just harvested some potatoes and a sweet pepper from the garden, onions and garlic in my pantry and my friend dropped off some zucchini and green beans so I can take some salmon out of the freezer and add a few additional veggies and have this, I bet it’s good hot or cold! Thanks Albert!
Nice dish! I love that to you 40min cooking is a quick meal... For me it's the same, I usually spend about an hour to cook my meals, but in times where so many people only open a package and considering that cooking, I find it funny. Love your channel!
I tried it yesterday. It was super tasty. Salmon was nice, but I wouldn't have missed it if it weren't there. You can totally make this vegetarian or vegan, no problem.
No such thing as to many salmon recipes. The salmon season is just beginning to kick off in officially here where I live and I see eating this stew often after a cold mourning of fishing. It would be very easy to also substitute the salmon with cod, Halibut, Walleye. Oh heck even some Dungeness crab. Hmmm. Yuppers il be making this often this end of summer fall and winter. 🐟🎣🦀🦐🦑
Albert: Delicious. A WILL-make for sure. I love all of your fish and/or potato dishes. Thanks again. (Fan from San Francisco, California). *!!~ PS: Is _“Marmitako”_ a Basque word?
Excellent looking dish. We make a catfish stew that has most of these ingredients, but with the price of catfish these days, might as well step it up a notch and use fresh salmon ! Any chance canned salmon could be used too?
. . . despite your outstandingly nice presentation of a great recipe one question : if you don't sear it - so why do you pat the salmon dry before then immediately putting it into the broth ?
The recipe is good. The salmon quality rather not! A lot of fat inclusions. This is an Aquafarm "breeding pig", but not a recommendable product. But for the recipe, a LIKE.
What about fresh wild salmon? Where I am it’s pretty available and not too expensive. There’s little fresh wild Atlantic salmon, but the Pacific variant is somewhat abundant.
In Asturies (near the Basque Country) we use a fish called Gallapota in the same preparation. I've googled it and apparently it's called "Blue Ling or Blue whitting" in English. I very much prefer it to stronger and healthier options -healthier than salmon, I mean- such as Bonito Tuna. If you can find it locally, it's going to be delicious and a wild variety into the bargain, probably cheap as well.

Absolutely! Much love :)
I don’t see why not. It’ll be different, but still delicious. Since canned salmon is already salted, you don’t need to add more.
@@murrayaronson3753 great advice on the salt. We just had salmon patties today, and they definitely didn't need salt added to the mix.
Nice recipe
Superb , my food heaven with crusty bread & a glass of wine ( south african chenin blanc sorry)
Sounds great!!! Much love :)

This looks wonderful! I'm cutting back on starches, do you think cabbage would be a good replacement for the potatoes?😀
Absolutely! Much love :)

To ensure the salmon absorbs all the flavors in the stew :) Much love
