- This was an awesome video to film! It was a beautiful weekend day so I went offshore with my buddy Taylor to explore some new spots we found. It was really surprising that on our first drop we found hungry mahi-mahi eager to eat!! After a couple more drifts I found a Tuna and then we went inshore to grab some food, ice, and catch a grouper. In the end we take our catch to Island Pig and Fish in Fort Pierce Florida and Chef Eric cooks us up a phenomenal lunch/dinner!!!!

A little trick I do when the TM isn’t holding spot on because of current is to place the boat and gear, with my digital Yamaha I can adjust the rpm’s ever so slightly….nice day nice video

If the trolling motor won’t hold the spot he either bought the wrong size motor for his boat or isn’t using enough batteries(volts). 36V lithium will easily hold a 38’+ boat no problem in heavy current.
Yeahhh that could be. I think we had 5knots of current. The Gulf Stream current can be a lot stronger than it looks and I know a lot of guys that can’t hold way out there with their trolling motors. Sometimes the current is 7knts even on a calm day with no wind.

I thought the same thing. What came to mind for me was the episode where the bull shark slapped the side of his kayak.
Especially since two people have been bitten off the East Coast of Florida in the last two days.

Yeah it could happen. I try to be cautious. The water was like 50ft visibility so I didn’t see any sharks coming.
