Hi Mr Sinicky, i did not find any contact on your website so i try here... I'm 48 , 66kgs for 1m69 , used to be a sports educationer in kung fu and still in good shape (Giving serious adversity for 20 years men in crossfit sessions) No physicals pain anywhere, i just got back to sport after some months doing weight training in the morning and cardio in the evening, at least 5 , to 7 days a week. But i'd prefer to go through something like you do. Here is for were i start. I would like to buy your program but i don't want to spend money with somethning i could not handle with so my question is : it safe to practice so explosive workouts at my age and how much training a week is necessary to see serious progression? Thank you. (I'm french, so maybe sorry for my english)
I appreciate that you are giving advice for older athletes, people who want to stay fit. At 51 I do not recover the same and I have to listen to my body even more. Thank you for all you do and keep the excellent content coming.
I think you’re bang on mate. That’s definitely a calisthenics/martial arts physique. I’m aiming for a similar look with basic calisthenics; pull-ups, rows, pushup variations, squat variations, lunges, and box step ups, all coupled with running, sprinting sled pushes and some skill based training. For example, at the moment I’m working on front and side splits and crow pose to handstand. Hopefully I will achieve them by Christmas this year.
4:51 just a little tip, when throwing the roundhouse, the hand that you don’t swing (I.e the opposite hand) should usually come up across your face to protect your chin 👍👍
Glad you mentioned Grant! Having Grant and Liam on this channel have been awesome! They perfectly compliment what you're doing and teaching. A superhero needs to be able to traverse, to fight, and exert force on the environment. Having all three of you provide information and insight is fantastic, and really helps flesh out the spectrum of how to train when you're a total nerd (i.e., all of your subscribers, myself included). My only complaint may be that they aren't on here more! You all are a great team.
Hey Adam, thank you so much. I've been following your channel for a year now I think, and amount of lessons I've got from your videos is simply amazing. Now I combine movement, running, calisthenics, stretching and even dancing and whatever else I find interesting in my training routine and my body feels amazing, but also whole training process is a lot more enjoyable rather than if I would just lift weights for example. Also I really love the fact that you post not just about fitness, but also about brain training, cognitive functions, and even about eyesight. Just want to let you know your content made my life a little more better, and thank you for that! Im really curios, why dont you promote your products on the channel? You've been in creators economy for like 10 years at least, and it seems like most of the monetization coming from all the audience you have on youtube is just ads of someone's products. I know its still pretty good amount of money but you can make much more with paid community for example, or by promoting your books maybe? And also you can give people A LOT MORE value when making an infoproduct by yourself, which is basically a win-win for everyone. I would gladly pay some money if I would be interested in your offer, since I really trust you after all the things you taught me. And Im pretty Im not the only one who would gladly pay. So yeah, Im just being really curios, is it because you find making your own products too hard or maybe because you think its somewhat unethical to promote your stuff? Or why?
I agree with many of the sentiments here, as a movement practitioner who came from a traditional Chinese martial art context. I like Primal Mobility intensives, Calisthenics, and hybrid martial art training; integrating sprawls, Hindu squat transitions, Silat groundwork, shadow striking and sand bag/dummy work to experiment with shadow wrestling.
This was gold. I'm 26 and training martial arts since I was 13, but I always struggled with S&C and I get injured to this day quite often. Since 2020 I started to do weight training 2 to 3 times a week but never got much results. I'd definetely implement these exercises into my S&C sessions. Thank you!!! Edit: Grant is a chad, but unfortunately not everyone is going to look like him with only martial arts training
Dear Bioneer. Maybe someday you can do a video for us on the benefits of traditional sling shots, acroballistics, like the warriors of old. I believe that war arts like longbow (see Joe Gibbs), and the sling with its rotational stress on the shoulders, and “persian yoga” styles or Gama style Indian calisthenics are all great modalities for physical development.
Bro. The fact that the modern generation of gym goers or people who workout is inspired by anime is awesome. It’s slowly but surely breaking the stereotype that nerds are weak bois that don’t lift.
I was inspired by Daddy Noel because he started working out at 23 and I started at 22. My goal is build an aesthetic body and lift heavy and be strong. Hopefully in 3-5 years time
Over last 9 months I lost 20kg. So definitely a marked improvement on my health & training. I watched the bioneer recently his Kettlebells video so have added more of that to my training. Because I have lost weight, I got to a point where I want to lean down but struggling because I weigh less. So, it requires me to add weighted bodyweight training. Getting difficult now, the balance of training and diet. I started a goal Dec 1st 2023 was training daily never missed a day, motivation to train even when you don't feel like it.
I starter calisthenics 4 years ago, and crossfit 3 years ago, following you from the beginning of my fitness journey, and as you mentioned the first thing I learned is that functionality and healt come first than aesthetic
@Jdm5299 all depend of how yo do it, if you are a ego lifter, or not be aware of your own capabilities, it end in injuries, but so far you understand what are you doing, it give to you good physical activity and include a social factor that help mentally and emotionally too.
Try using smaller movements, don't sway from your body when punching. Also try to disguise each punch like it came out of nowhere. Then make it a challenge to be quicker and more accurate each time. Garou is my favorite from OPM! 👊
Hey, long time fan of the videos. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'd love for these to also be in podcast format on something like spotify so I could listen throughout my day more easily. Just a thought, anyways, love the content man!
An addition to the training could be weighted gloves, a weighted vest, and ankle weights. Whatever you do while wearing them, you have increased your body weight.
Since you're doing anime character related videos, it would be awesome to make one about Ayanokoji from classroom of elite. He's the embodiment of "Perfect human" both physically and mentally.
Just imagine El Eggs from CaliMove somewhere in the background, doing some casual 100 pushups, 100 situps and 100 squats - what a collaboration it could have been 😄
While I'm grateful for the training program added in the video, I *really* think it would benefit you to make a companion follow along video for the program It's relatively easy to make from a video editing standpoint (albeit tiring) and it's the kind of video that can produce multiple views from the same person If it made Jane Fonda rich, it can certainly aid your channel!
On a somewhat related note with regard to how these characters are drawn: people need to remember that anime and manga use a simplified, exaggerated visual language. In the same way characters eyes and mouths tend to be much larger than is realistic, their muscles often are too. As an artist, if I wanted to draw a Bruce Lee type physique, then doing so with Bruce Lee's actual proportions would be quite difficult, as I'd need to use an extremely high level of detail and very effective shading to make his lean athleticism clear. Otherwise he'd just look like a skinny dude. It would be much easier to draw him with the most prominent muscles just a bit exaggerated. You've gotta remember that most people aren't taking a ruler to manga panels to see exactly how big a character's muscles are, instead they just take it in at a glance. So even if exaggerated manga Bruce Lee has bigger muscles than real Bruce Lee, someone looking at both side to side would probably perceive them as pretty similar. But people get really caught up trying to achieve the exact, literal physiques of fictional characters, without realizing that achieving the same impression isn't actually that hard.
If you don't want to do martial arts. Try high intensity sprinting instead. It's what I do. Look at guys like Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, Prime Tyson Gay, Prime Usain Bolt and many more. Olympic level sprinters have a similar physique to Garou. Like Adam mentions being explosive is what really helps here.
Thanks Adam! What you say makes sense, but I wonder about nutrition. Personally I struggle to eat enough to have the necessary energy to train while not eating so much that I start packing on the pounds. It’s kind of frustrating 😤
Hi Adam, got a quick question since we all know how much you enjoy training outside. Do you keep it up during winter? Got any tips for it? Asking since I've been training outside for the last few months consistently, but the temperature lowering brings its own challenges...
garou looks pretty tall, I cant see too much width to his physique, especially in the back. from that observation I can guess that he would do lots of handstand push ups & pull ups, upside-down sit ups and other things like horse stance, sprinting and just lots and lots of sparing. im trying to imagine what bang would make the beginners do then escalate from there.
I realize that your martial art training (basically practising jab-cross) may come from Holyland, considering you're a manga nerd like most of us, am I wrong thinking that's what you're trying to emulate ? Also seeing your build (big lats, average length arms) I think you'd see you're well equiped for hooks and uppercuts, you could incorporate a bit of body work on the heavy bag, that might feel good. Anyway thanks for the video and take care, bye for now ;)
You can deny your genetics all you want, but you have great genetics. I’ve seen people that work out five days a week and still don’t look like you. I’m very thankful for my genetics.

Sounds like a solid plan mate. Good luck!
@ thanks mate. Yeah, I like to mix it up a bit. I’m even doing a bit of swimming which is a nice change with the rising heat here in Australia.
@Browny84 ahh of course swimming! That's one of those really effective exercises I always forget about. Yeah I bet that is nice with all that heat 😂
@ oh yeah. Great full body workout. You do about ten or fifteen laps after work and have the best sleep of your life.
Nah, too young for being Bang
Please do a collaboration with The Stone Circle.
Yes pls
I second this
Good idea
I third this.
Or Jaxblade, but The Stone Circle would be a great one 👍
Martial arts coach here, your technique has definitely improved from when I first started watching you! Keep your head up :)
4:51 just a little tip, when throwing the roundhouse, the hand that you don’t swing (I.e the opposite hand) should usually come up across your face to protect your chin 👍👍
Yep and also makes the swing more powerful

I'm surprised it took him this long to do a Garou video. Now take a look at Sun-Ken-Rock. The manga that truly inspired me to start working out.
Been waiting for this one. Garou has the best anime physique imo.
I have been watching your videos since the very beginning and love them all, sir.
NO WAY. OK this is epic.
Bioneer's got that nightwing physique

I'd say you're spot on. Go with what works for you and what you're aiming for, keep it simple and have fun
Dude I love this channel so much, no one does anime physique breakdowns better

Another great video Adam! Just finished season 2 of OPM so this was great timing.
Always great.💪💪

I've literally been feeling the desire to blast Garou's theme for a workout recently. Utterly mystical timing
With Toji video you inspired me to finally attend boxing class and I love it 2x times a week plus 2x a week fbw calisthenics with kettlebell
I starter calisthenics 4 years ago, and crossfit 3 years ago, following you from the beginning of my fitness journey, and as you mentioned the first thing I learned is that functionality and healt come first than aesthetic

I’ve always been interested in Akuma’s training from street fighter.
I NEED THIS, THANK YOU!

BIONEER🔥🔥🔥
I’d be interested in seeing a Link/Breath of the Wild inspired workout. I know Link isn’t know for his physique but functionally he’s a beast 👌
Keep inspiring!
6:08 that was damn impressive! Handstand pushup to planche? Sheeesh
This was an excellent video.😎🤙🏻💪🏻👊🏻🥋
Wrestling is one the toghest sports, fun, and also you learn to fight.
I fucking love you the bioneer
Sprints twice a week, push and rows every mornings, occasional sports with friends. I'm physically thriving
That's my ideal physique. I used to do more of this type of training. Miss it 💪
What specific exercises would give us garou traps? he has the most developed traps in all anime imo, both upper, mid and lower parts.
Shrugs, farmer carries, kettlebell swings
Really appreciate your work
No updates in soft skill series?

Well well well... hurting the tree are we. 😂🎉
That tree probably started it then got quiet when it was time to scrap. All bark, no bite.
Since you're doing anime character related videos, it would be awesome to make one about Ayanokoji from classroom of elite.

I have no idea who or what a Garou is I just like the bioneers content
Here's another great one from Tim Anderson @OriginalStrengthSystem : 10 rounds of 20 Hindu squats and 10 Hindu push-ups, no rest
People who want to achieve this physique naturally, you must know that you will probably look skinny with clothes on.
Unless they also get huge traps and shoulders
I don't see a problem
Maybe, unless you rock the compression shirt like garou does
better than being a roided neanderthal..

Have you ever done a video on old School catch wrestling training? Maybe even base it on Tiger Mask anime
Garou's training involved being thrashed to the edge of death with every session, each time recovering just barely in time to fight even harder.
You got a kickass content along with the title of your channel "Bioneer" 👍

Garou is one of the main reasons I started training really or at least the one physique I try to shoot for despite being fictional.
So ur ggghhhheeeeeyyyy
Garou looks like he does a lot of f****** conditioning. Like he never gets tired which is... actually kind of just what happens in the anime.
When you said, "...massive DOMS the next day," I heard, "...massive dumps the next day." So...be careful not to over-stimulate your digestive tract.
