Finally! A direct, simple, inexpensive way to hang a tapestry. I've looked for quite a while and you weren't kidding when you said this is the easiest tutorial on RUclips. Brilliant.
Wow this is so simple and smart, I can't believe I didn't think of this! I'm going to be a freshman and Western Kentucky University in the fall and I want to decorate my drab dorm room with a tapestry. Thanks for the awesome idea!
You can also use colored binder clips and command hooks. If you removed one of the silver metal parts after clamping it (and store it so you don't lose it!) it doesn't look half bad.
I LOVE you! I'm not worried about damaging the wall, because i'm doing this at home but I live in a really old house, and have plaster walls, and cant put a thumbtack in, or nails cleary... Seriously thankyou!!
i may be 7 years late, but im hoping you will see this (that may be a bit too hopeful). Where did you get those mini clothespins? i have looked at a few places and couldnt find them anywhere.
super cute idea! I was excited to try it because I didn't want to put holes on my fabric. Unfortunately, it did not work. the fabric kept slipping out of the clothespins before I could get to another side of it. I ended up having to use nails, but left the clips up to look like they were holding it up.
Are those adhesive strips command refills? Pls kindly give a link to buy them (like in amazon/walmart). have grey concrete walls so nothing is sticking!
Im moving to an extended stay hotel to live and I have wall tapestry and I wanted to decorate it to make it feel like home and this the best idea thank you so much
NY 3D no cause gravity is more likely to pull it down- have a look on youtube about using liquid starch- military wifes use it and its great cause it sticks it to the wall without leaving marks. To get it off you just use water. deffo recomend
I was wracking my brain for far too long trying to figure out a way to do this without poking holes in my tapestry. Brilliant idea, thanks for sharing! :)
I did my living room in bohemian and i got the tapestry of the sun and trying to figure a way to hang it i use tacks on the last and it just didn't look good thank so much😊
Hi. 1. Do I need command picture hanging strips or poster strips? 2. Do they work on painted cement walls? 3. The size you have used is small or medium?
Ok first of all, love the rattie guy! Second, any tips on hanging a tapestry on a ceiling (and to make life more difficult, a ceiling that is not smooth)?
very nice idea it works on my walls and looks great. i do have one question for you tho, where did you get the elephant tapestry i would love to get one of my own?
Awesome. I was gonna use glue and hangers on my screened in porch wall but this was simpler and cheaper and I got the color clothes pin to blend into the tapestry!! Thanks
This is genius!!! My tapestry is behind my bed so my pillows push against it, and the right side kept falling. I tried using a command strip but the fabric didn’t stick well and I was absolutely losing my mind trying to get it to stay
You gotta work on your grammar. Here, I wrote another one for you that you can copy-paste: Hi I have available mandala tapestry wholesale price. If you want to buy mandala tapestry please contact me here: (your number or email) ---- I might be interested though. Where can I see the designs?
Quite curious as to where you found that particular first tapestry. :) I've found ones with the same pattern, but not with that color scheme. We share much of the same style, haha.
I wonder if this will work for my slanted ceiling room. It's the highest room in the house and all the nails fall right out so it's hard to hang any tapestry.
Can you recommend a good site to buy good quality tapestries please? I recently bought my first tapestries and it was falsely advertised. It's blurry and not as bright.
ooo Clever and different! Quick tip, you can use iron on seems to strengthen the corners/edges of your tapestry so it won't rip when you hang it (especially if you put a pen through it). Its cheap and easy, just make sure you use another piece of cloth like an old t shirt or bed sheet (or similar) on top so you don't accidentally burn through your most likely really thin tapestry. ;)
THANK YOU! I'm in a dorm room and it's super sad because I can't hang anything and the walls are grey concrete :( but maybe they will let me hang my tapestry
You are 100% babe. We sell both of these things at work too :") This way you don't damage the tapestry either tbh, I've seen loads of people use the tumb tacks and it just ends in the tapestry ripping and falling down :(

I used scotch fasteners to hang my tapestry. They're little squares of velcro and surprisingly stick to fabric really well.
Does it not damage the wall/paint?
Love this! Such an easy way to decorate and so easy to change the look of a room.
i may be 7 years late, but im hoping you will see this (that may be a bit too hopeful). Where did you get those mini clothespins? i have looked at a few places and couldnt find them anywhere.
I got them at "Typo", but you can also find them on Amazon!
This is so smart!! Thank you

Genius idea! Easier and better than paint for my rented home!

You my friend, you are a genius! Dull walls avoided, you just saved my student accommodation dilemma.
This is so simple and such a good idea! Also, that rat is adorable.

+James O'Banion I found it at a tapestry sale that was happening on my school's campus! Sorry, I know that's not very helpful haha.

Genius!
Thank you. It worked for me 😉
no damage what so ever ?
such a cute idea!
Thank you so muchhhh for uploading this diy
True that it doesn't use nails, but those adhesive patches often do more damage to paint and plaster than a nail will.
This is so smart!! a lot easier than what I was planning on doing! thank you so much!!!!
You are a genius!
Your videos are so nice!
I NEEDED THIS THANKSSSS❤️❤️❤️❤️
LIFE SAVER!
