Command strip removal hack for those who use them and then to remove them: yes, you can use the pull tabs on them but they sometimes tear and/or they remove paint. When removing them use dental floss. Slide gently back and forth behind the adhesive to remove therefore preventing any damage. 👍🏻😉
Quick tip: If your tapestry doesn’t have loops and your too lazy to sew some on, you can cut a tiny hole in the corner of the tapestry and put a hook through it :)
Velcro! I thought I was the only person who thinks velcro is a great idea! Thank you for including it in your video, you validated me immediately! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Quick tip, you can use iron on seems to strengthen the corners of your tapestry so it won't rip when you put a pen through it. Its cheap and easy, just make sure you use another piece of cloth like an old t shirt or bed sheet (or similar) on top so you don't accidentally burn through your most likely really thin tapestry. ;)
For those with hard walls like cement or bricks your best bet is to drill in nails. If you're renting then you would have to ask permission from your landlord but some people do it anyways.
Thank you for showing me 3 ways now I think I will be able to hang one in my room since I can't use nails I thought I would never be able to hang my tapestry up. 🙏
Interesting that you’re saying to use adhesive tape hangers, because when you remove those moving out of an apartment or a home that you are renting, it will rip the paint off the walls.
Great ideas on video and here in the comments. I didn't have much luck hanging two tapestries bought from eBay. They actually came with some round double sided sticky anchor pieces that worked well for about a day. The material that the tapestries are made of will not accept the binding glue from the sticky pads. Eventually they release. I tried to several times with no luck. I do not want holes in them,. Hot glue was too visible, binder clips are too visible and bulky, there are no loop's. I can sew but have no thread to match. The command strips worked but the glue wouldn't stick to the material for very long either I was finally lucky with using a spray adhesive but had to use several applications, each time using more. Then my gf came around and wanted them in a different location, taking them down when I wasn't around. In her defence she had no idea the trouble I had. Needless to say the tapestries are not up again. Now I bought a few more off Temu. They came with some really gnarly looking and probably severely destructive (to both wall and tapestry) anchors that I have no idea how they work. Probably going to use small binder clips but Temu had them so cheap, I bought these huge tapestries! Going to have to cover up some windows, possibly block some closet doors or fold some edged over. Oh, yeah, probably every single picture, painting, or anything that hangs on my walls will need to be moved to a new spot! Bedspreads!!...I guess that can be done too? Not ideal but they are just too big! Today's tapestry tip: measure, measure, measure!!
thanks for the video it was very helpful , but i have a question in your opinion which method from the three will be the most secure to hold the tapestry for the long run?
Thanks! Next do it on a cement wall. I'm thinking about this now. I'm thinking I'll anchor a piece of wood the width of the tapestry and then put in some threaded inserts and clamp down another piece of wood over the tapestry. Mine is covered in sequins and is really heavy!
i didn’t cheat at all but i just bought a really pretty purple indian tapestry and i was thinking in my head, i bet i can use push pins to hang it. and i was right! hehe
hey there that's pretty nice tips though got some confusion within me My wall is made of concrete/cement kinda of thing any suggestions to hang the tapestry on the wall best way and for on ceiling as well. Hope you will reply this :) Thanks
yeah it stayed very lightly and amazingly> Just cut the 5 pieces of the adhesive ones and stick them directly on the wall with the backside of tapestry ignoring rather than putting the clothes pin. It worked well till now but when I turn on the moving fan on my room the tapestry moves frequently will it makes any diff ?
I would say add more adhesive strips to all four sides until it's pretty secure, even with the fan turned on so you don't have to worry about it falling :)
To each their own, but I think tapestries hung with the top corners stretching outward and the middle dropping down looks like something out of a sloppy dorm room; what I came up with and have been doing for years, is to cut a 1” by 2” board of wood to be the same length as the width of the tapestry, fold the top edge over and staple it to the back of the board, and then mount it to the wall, giving you a beautiful, perfectly clean and straight edge across the top.
I ordered a few my plan is to staple tapestry to a long ½X½ straight piece of wood and Ill probably nail the wood also plan to hot glue a string of lights to the wood.
I love your room!!! It’s so pretty! This was very helpful! But my room is lilac color and I had ordered a black and white tapestry will the tapestry match?
For temporary hanging I have used magnets. Neodymium countersunk so I can put a small screw through the hole and keep the screw top flush and then just sew another in the corners of the... well what ever you are hanging. I get mine here magnet4sale.com.
did anyone else buy a tapestry forgetting you have to hang it
Yeah
Yeah lol
yes but i got mine for christmas 2 years ago and we found it but i filled my walls already so i’m putting it on my ceiling !
Yeah
Guilty as charged
Yeh I live in the UK where all houses are made out of brick...no way to push those pins through
belleâme did you try it with the command strips?
belleâme you can try hangers. To stick on the brick.
i felt this 😂
Use a drill lol
iiTriipzy 🤣

thank you so much for this, had to pay extra fees for my last college dorm because I ruined the paint😂
I've torn up my walls so much with those, thank you so much!!!!
If your tapestry doesn't have loops you can use the command hooks and binder clips :)
There you go! Very creative 👌🏼
That's a great idea! I didn't want to make a hole on my tapestry so I'll do this! :)
@@AmandaLoveSantos hey wat size it your tapestry please

The command strip adhesive doesn’t stick to fabric that well so I used a stapler to attach them to the tapestry and have had no problems
George Radcliffe that’s genius! Such a great idea 💡
this is what i come to this video for thankyou
What material is yr wall so soft that u can push pins into it just like that :o

Oh thanksss😃
Wouldn't this damage the tapestry?
if anyone doesn’t want holes after you remove it,scrub matching soap where the holes are
@@thatkidmingming7390 I think they mean the tapestry
and then the next owner washes the walls... 🙃
You can also clip “binder clips” to the tapestry, then hang to the adhesive hooks, or tack (if you don’t want to put holes in your tapestry.
wait, this is so smart thank you

Quick question my push pin won't go through the wall😭😰
No problem! :) Is your wall made from dry wall or something else??
Amanda Appling actually I think it's just really strong so any suggestions?
Use a little hammer. Don't do it too hard.

I have a blanket and I think I’m just going to go with my original plan of stapling it to the wall
Why not just use nails?
I've used double-sided tape, staples, broken earrings, and tiny screws in pinches 😅
Very useful!
Very informative video, soothing voice, and healthy young woman :)
Even with holes that small in wall you can buy a small jar or tube of putty or nail patch. ;)

thanks for watching :) quick question, is your cement wall really porous or mostly smooth?
kinda porous
I bought the adhesive strip and put on the wall lol it takes the paint off my wall
Did it end up staying? or did it come off?

Will command strips hold Polyester material ?
What do I do with the 2 one inch diameter stickers it came with?
The command strips ruin the paint and they adhesive wears off after a while. Mine has fallen on me several times using those things
