    Yes to quartz lock.😊
    I have a GX-95 MK1.
I've only seen some tape deck forums someone did it.
Thanks for your detailed maintenance video.
Very useful for me in my next servicing.

Thanks for the video. I have to renovate two GX-52's soon, so some inspiration is a good thing! GX-52 is direct drive single capstan, and dual gab single head, otherwise I think that the tape transports are somewhat similar.

You should do a step by step video on how to adjust the internal pots for the bias and level knobs

Thanks for the recommendation. There are some videos already about that alignment process, but if it would be interesting, then i can release that video also. :)

Hello, can you please tell me which oil and grease you used to renovate the Akai drive, thank you very much.

Hello, oil i am using high quality one that uses for mechanical watches repair (heavy duty and long lasting one), grease i use mixed - teflon grease or lithium grease.
      Cheers!

Thank you, just one more question, how can I get a setting gauge like the one in your video?
I really like your calmness and professionalism.

Hey there! Do you know if the Tape unit from MK2 fits on MK1?
My MK1 is defect and have the opportunity to get an MK2 Tape unit.

      Hi!
Tapetransport is actually the same, just head block is different from what i have seen and also modes motor is quieter on mk2. Personally i have never tried to swap them around but i think they are compatible. Also what is wrong with mk1 mecha?
      Cheers

@@LT.tapeheads.service Thank you for your fast answer!
I have missing parts on my MK1 for the Tape Transport. Just have the front lid of the Transport. The holding case is missing.
And I have the chance to buy a complete serviced tape drive unit from an MK2 with a small platine for 125€.
Think about to buy this und hope that it works with my MK1.
      What would you do?
Have a great weekend and thank you :)

@@raulcordoba6965 hi, playback head connectors will be different due to mk2 is balanced one and mk1 not, but i think its not an issue just soldering will be required. Otherwise serviced transport from mk2 for 125 is good deal if it is really serviced :) Cheers

Hello, could you please tell me where you bought the idler and pich rollers?I bought from ebay a kit,and idler is slipping more than old one.Thank you

    • @LT.tapeheads.service

Hi, i am buying idlers from fixyouraudio or revoxde ebay. Now i have tried one supplier from poland, hes also selling in ebay - those are ok too.
Pinch rollers i buy from fixyouraudio or ali sometimes.
When you installed new idler have you cleaned good tape spindles surface where goes idler in contact? - thats the most common thing most forget.
If you bought idler that are transparent then just put it straight to recycle bin.
      Cheers
