Good video overall on the installation... I installed the same exact Lights several years ago ... Went the extra mile on the wiring made everything look clean.... wiring cannot be seen... I wire them directly to the cargo lamp needed Lighting in the bed for hooking up and unhooking my 5th wheel at night excellent product still works today.....
Hands down the best how-to install video I have ever seen! As an amateur videographer/editor I can appreciate all the camera work involved!! Yes, a few pointed out that the wire should be covered with wire loom under the cab and I would have soldered the spade connectors but I would imagine someone with no experience could follow this well done video. This would also lead me to believe that a company that took this much effort to create a video would have exceptional customer service. Going to website to check out this kit now!
Lake Erie Aerial Productions Thank you for the compliments, we really appreciate it! this has got to be the best youtube how to format i have ever seen. The video is not just a linear film but interactive and does not leave you board, but if you want to see all of the details of a step you can keep watching without skipping to the next step. Way to go!! the led's are nice too.

After having these I could never live without them. A few suggestions after having these for a few years- I was able to mount at a 45 degree angle in my 2000 f150 so I have even coverage. I noticed in the vid there was a dark spot in the middle. It may sound nit picky, but once something is a foot off the bottom of the bed there will be near zero light on it. I made an angled piece for right over the wheel wells (the sides bump in there so vertical is the only option) after realizing mounting flat to the passenger side shines directly in my eyes, standing where i switch it on (Mine are switched at my tool box at the front of the bed) These are super bright so there goes night vision for a minute after when you look at them straight on.
I would kill for every "how-to" video to be exactly like this. I will not even be considering another company for this product just from the usefulness of this video and the obvious and meticulous detail to customer service in the comments. A++ company, and I haven't even become a customer of yours yet.
I'm sure if you took a door open sensor, and mounted it in the groove where the tailgate sits in the bed, you could get that to happen. Then just wire it to your cabin lights
Yeah, no problem. I like throwing ideas out there when it comes down to your product. I like giving a " From The Street View" opinion on things. I'm always willing to chuck out an idea that simply makes sense.
That is a great idea! Thank you for the suggestion! This lighting kit is perfect for the applications you mentioned and we'll try to work on something to show the versatility of this kit. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
Thanks for the compliments, we really appreciate it! You can definitely install the switch near the tailgate, but I recommend using a waterproof switch because the switch that comes included with the kit is not waterproof. You can also just ground the black wire from the kit anywhere on the truck frame. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
Great video for tips you guys! I am buying some today and can't wait to see how they look underneath a topper on my truck. Should contain the light a bit better then having an open box. Thanks again!
You can tie the two black wires together and ground them to any screw that threads into the metal of your car or you can ground the two wires to two different metal sources. It really doesn't matter what location you ground the wires to, but it must be a bare metal surface or else the kit will not turn on.

Awesome video! I've been looking for something like this.Great for beginners. Is there a way to have the switch installed near the tailgate? Would you have to run the ground wire all the way back then?

Hey, considering this kit for my truck but not sure if the pods will fit and I have a bed liner that I don't want to remove unless needed. My truck is a 2000 Ford Ranger. 1) Would I just apply the pods then secure any loose wires with zip ties as mentioned in the video? I noticed by bed rails have loops in some spots which is why I'm asking. 2) if my bed doesn't have an existing hole for the wires except for the post holes, do I just run the wires up and through that or what do I do?
Yes, attach the pods and secure the wires to any brackets or holes under the bed rails. You could use the post hole or use a drill to make a small hole behind the tail lights.
The purpose of the fuse is to protect the light kit from shorting out in case of any type of power surge. If you are wiring to a pre-existing auxiliary switch, you do not need to use the fuse.
Great Video and LED Lights, but Heat Shrink all Connectors and Split Loom all Wires next time. Especially the wires that are exposed to the elements outside the Cab.
Yes, you can definitely run the lights to your truck's built in switch, but just double check that the switch is for 12 volt accessories. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!

How hard would be to show diversity with these lights, if they were installed on a trailer. Such as a flatbed, car carrier type trailer. Or even on the inside, or outside of a box trailer, providing visual aid, because we all know that the smaller box trailers, don't have any light source whatsoever.

Unless you have a cap on the truck, we don't recommend mounting the switch in the bed because of the possibly for it to get wet.

I have a toolbox on my truck, so where would I run the lights out of the bed? I have those holes in the video but they are covered up by the toolbox. Thanks.
Austin Bryant I recommend sliding the tool box out, running the wires through the holes that are currently being covered by the tool box and then sliding the tool box back into place. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
I wired my lights (same exact style) similar to this but instead ran the switch to the rear of the bed. The lights go on when I hook it to the battery but as soon as I flip the switch it blows the fuse. What did I do wrong???
Double check all your wiring.
LEDGlow yep... screwed that up! Wired the switch to both the + and - (one each) and kept blowing fuses. Working great now that I caught my error
How do i hook it up to one of my uplifter switches on my 05 f250
joesmk14 If you have factory uplifter switches, confirm the exact locations from the service manual (usually under the steering column) and wire the lights directly into the switch wire leads. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Does the inline fuse come with the kit or no? If no where do I get one?
This kit does not come included with the expandable circuit can be found directly on our website, www.ledglow.com

I apologize about the issue you're having with your truck bed lighting kit. Have you checked to make sure all the power connections are secure? Check your private messages for more details!
are they water proof
They are water resistant so rain and washing the truck bed will not damage them.
@@ledglow i am using them for my boat just wondering thanks
Do you ship in Canada ?
Yes, we do.
Thank you!
This truck bed lighting kit is not Bluetooth enabled. However, our Bluetooth Control Box our Million Color Underbody LED Lighting Kit does support Android devices Froyo 2.3 and up. Let me know if you have any other questions!
split loom is your friend.
How hard would be to show diversity with these lights, if they were installed on a trailer. Such as a flatbed, car carrier type trailer. Or even on the inside, or outside of a box trailer, providing visual aid, because we all know that the smaller box trailers, don't have any light source whatsoever.
can i run it to a push ground switch? so when i open my tailgate will come on?. would it be an option as you ask to give ideas.
Hi Baltazar, indeed you can connect it to your own switch and it will work when you open your tailgate. If you have further questions about the install please feel free to contact our tech team directly via phone, email, or live chat. Cheers, LEDGlow Team
Hi Lawrence, I have passed this on to our video team and we will look to implement your ideas moving forward. Cheers, LEDGlow Team
Web page ??
Rafael, if you click the "Buy This Now" icon in the beginning of the video it will take you directly to the product page on our website. You can also find the link in the "About" section of the video. Let me know if you have any questions about the kit or the installation process!
Instead could you put this in a trunk
This could be put into a trunk if you chose to.
Sufian Adnan
you could also put it under the hood, with the second string.
mine didnt come with any of this
Where did you purchase the kit from?
Unfortunately we do not offer a multi-color option of this truck bed lighting kit, but I can assure you that this kit can take a lot of abuse. The pod lights are waterproof, extreme freeze tested and are virtually indestructible. Check out our product video to see for yourself! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
Yes, you can only use 2 pod lights if you want, but keep in mind by cutting the wires and pod lights, you will void the one year limited warranty that comes included with the truck bed lighting kit. Let me know if you have any other questions!
cool
Lorddd that truck needs a terminal power block desperately instead of all the pasta strings ran through the engine bay.
LOLOLOLOLOL no it doesnt, Einstein.
No problem! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Using underbody tubes will absolutely work fine for the set up you want in your truck bed. Let me know if you have any other questions!
