This reminds of when we had a real renaissance of videogames. The sound of midi is still great because the consoles back then came with good DAC chips and dedicated synths. Consoles these days just expect you to hook up to a receiver. I think the last great sounding console was the PS1.

I don't think normal Sonic would be faster than Star Platinum's fists, since those are faster than light, but I'm sure Hyper (or even Super) Sonic could be as fast if not faster than Star Platinum.
Now, speaking about a fight, I'm not sure. Okay, Super Sonic and Star Platinum have basically the same abilities: they are both extremely fast, have a huge destructive power (Star Platinum's strength and Sonic's spines), can throw damaging objects (basically anything for Star Platinum and Chaos Spear for Sonic), can stop time (Star Platinum: The World and Chaos Control) and can move freely, now, that movement is what could make a difference: both Star Platinum and Super/Hyper Sonic can float/fly around, but Star Platinum has a very limited range, even though it can make Jotaro jump high and its Timestop also affects gravity, speaking of the Timestop, we don't have an exact measure of Sonic's Timestop, but Sonic's Timestop lasts for 10 seconds in Sonic Adventure 2 (without even a super form!), and the most Jotaro has shown is 5 (correct me if I'm wrong), so I would say that what would decide what the result would be (wow, that's a lot of woulds) would be if Jotaro can move in Sonic's Timestop or not; if he's able to do that, I'd say he wins, if he isn't, I don't think so.
