Are the Piston it Away instruments missing/replaced?. They should be around the 00:10 timestamp. The original gameplay, the vs Metal Cortex video that you posted had them.

@@ShadowtheRUclipsr523 that's what I know these melodies from. A lot of the original Sonic Mania songs used previous motifs as it was like a Sonic Generations 2 of sorts
It fits as the boss for Stardust Speedway was being chased by Metal Sonic so that song would play in the background anyway, hence why they chose that one to reference

You do such an excellent job with your Crash-style remixes, you always know what instruments work best, the audio mixing is very professional, I'm amazed every single time!
Have you ever considered making a tutorial on how to make custom Crash PS1 music, or at least how to extract instrument samples from the games? I've got a Crash soundfont but it's pretty old and not very good. Even if I never figure out how to actually insert them into the games, I'd love to make Crash-style music of my own.
VGMTrans is your tool of choice, you can rip a MIDI sequence of all the songs (except for CTR because it uses a more customized format) and the sample banks. Inserting though, I can't tell you anything about.

Thanks! Yes I think I'll make a tutorial someday, but for now you can use CrashEdit to extract sequence data and soundbanks and convert them with VGMTraes as above.
For inserting you can use Awave Studio to convert .midi to .seq, you need to turn note off events into note on with velocity 0.
@@airumu If the tutorial is going to cover all of this, I think I'll just wait for that; I had a bit of trouble getting VGMTrans to work and I learn better with videos anyway.

Hi Ariumu! Sorry if my comment is unrelated to your video but there's something I want to talk about regarding the mods.
I played the Crash trilogy on Duckstation, there's a 16:9 widescreen hack in the option menu that I used. Problem is that the graphics doesn't render or are missing on both sides of the screen as these games originally made for 4:3 ratio. Is it possible to mod the game using Crashedit to fill the gaps?
It's technically possible but it requires tools that are still under development and a lot of work, so not for now I guess.
Finally this good song came out, I hope an extended version will come out in the future!
I know people ask you a lot of questions, but is this mod available download or not?

Hello airumu! I have a little request for you about modding psx crash. I have a ps1 emulator that can not change overscan and aspect ratio of the game. So im asking if you could make a mod of crash ps1 troligy that removes the up and down black bars on the screen of the game. I know that other emulators can do this but im stuck with that emu cause im more comfortable with it.
