This tutorial was more detailed than the Goblin Slayer helmet. I LOVE it! I didn't even know about the palm sander trick! Very excilent, well made tutorial!
Thanks. Unfortunately, that Goblin slayer helmet was originally built on twitch when I tried streaming on for a bit. So the video footage was from a webcam and wouldn't have blended well with the paint tutorial. I wish I had built it for a RUclips video instead.

I took a half decade leave of attempting helmet designs. I came back wanting a destiny build and saw a market for templates. I love that people are specializing and getting a profit. If I had the confidence and other tools for foam builds, I'd buy a few. I made a custom helmet out of cardboard and paper mache. It looked rough but I added scorch marks to make the imperfections look like battle scars. I'm gonna retouch it in spirit of doom eternal after finding my paints.

I some times watch HOW ODIN makes, but a lot of the stuff he makes... i dunno it just doesnt seem "finished" some times.. not sure why, if he needs to sand more, or get better at painting...like as soon as you look at it you can tell its painted foam... but this project looks almost as good as that collectors edition one they had. great job
I created the Pepakura to foam method in 2009/2010 time frame. So I have many years of it under my belt to get experience at it. I also had been prop making since then. So I’ve gained more experience with my own style where I don’t have to do much to get the result I need. I like Odin a lot. He’s been really consistent. I enjoy his work. There are things he does that I’m blown away with. He’s a good problem solver. Everyone just likes what they like. Everything is subjective to who sees it.

I'm trying to decide which tint I should get for my Mark 40 Iron Man helmet ("Shotgun") since it goes over the middle of the face (including the eyes).

All Templates include a general tutorial on how to use the Pepakura software with foam. I’d warm up to it though with some easier projects found on my channel/website.
Yes and no. I’ll make vlog updates on where I’m at with it and gives tips and such but it won’t be a piece by piece tutorial. In the end, the process I would use with Pepakura Designer and foam templates is always the same for any project.
Whenever I make these kinds of projects, I leave out any markings that imply damage, I like my stuff to imply that I was the original want to have it, like a pristine pip boy, or helmet

Hi. Please Watch the beginner tutorial and apply what you learn to those files and other files. The beginner tutorial was all over my website and embedded on the product listing. It’s a building system. That’s how this works. You apply the knowledge to other projects. It’s not wise to be waiting for a tutorial video. I unfortunately can’t build every single part of every single template for every single costume. It’s unrealistic. This video is also not even a real in depth tutorial. It’s just showing my build. So any video of this costume I’d make, would be the same way.
