The bag and tubs for personal consumption. The jars would make great last minute gifts; dress the jars with ribbon or twine and hang a gift tag on them.
The jars and the bags are a great idea! The jars in my opinion would be great for Holidays wrapped with a ribbon since the jars are more expensive. The bags would be great for everyday Farmers Market packaging. Most cookies are sold in bags, so the bags would be so profitable for you in my opinion.
The large cookie 🍪 jar might make sense for bigger families with two or three kids 😊❤. The mid size 🍪 one is easy to grab and eat as they walk around the farmers market. The smallest jar 🫙 is cute and will allow those on diets to store it well and eat it over a few days. 😊. Each option has its pros and cons 🍪🍪
I have those square cookie bags, you will make good money on cookies, welcome to being a cookier. Also weights each cookie dough so they will be same weights. It do take a lot of time getting all the ingredients together, weighing the ingredients out on a scale. You can take 1 day to do all your cookie dough , weigh each ball, roll and put them in container and free,e or fridge
to get ripples on my cookies with the crispy edges and chewy center I take my cookies out half way through and bang them on the counter a few times then pop them back in the oven. I usually do the bang method again when they come right out.
Hello from Oklahoma! Used the last year transforming the back half of my house into a bakery and reception area for customers. I’m a cookie lady, but bought your recipes and became a cake lady too!!❤ I LOVE my cookies thin, chewy, and perfectly soft in the right places. Secret? It’s brown sugar, and slightly under cook, then let them finish on the pan after taking out of the oven. The heat will finish the center but not over cook. Would love to connect, one baker to another! I also have a toddler son and other children; they are the reason I strive for a simpler life with the bakery as my focus. Currently a full time PM and it’s exhausting doing both.. got big dreams though🙌🏽 Thanks babe, really. You never fail to inspire me in some way.
Wow that is amazing! It’s so cool to hear from another baker.🥰 Thank you for sharing that tip and getting my recipes! And hats off to you juggling so much. You are amazing 🤩
I love the Jars with the Cookies and the Bags as well. Decorate the Jars with Ribbons that would make great " just because" Gifts while the Bag is for Home use. I like the Idea for hiring a Baker, People always looking for side kicks. You don't want a Baby Sitter you want a Childcare Person who interact with your kids and do fun Projects and things ( can't you tell I am a retired one 😂). One thing on your Buttermilk, it's never gets bad because it's already fermented. I learned this from Ben Starr the Ultimate Food Geek on RUclips. I love all the things you do. Wow! So much value in this comment! ❤️ True! I need someone I can trust on both ends Baking and childcare. I would love to have your help if I could. I didn’t know that about buttermilk!! So interesting! Thank you so much 🙌🏽
I have never thought of using the oxygen absorbers. In your opinion, how well to they work with keeping product fresh, or how long do they extend the freshness compared to not using them? I use a lot of the little brown window bags and the absorbers may be beneficial for me!❤️ I love your content! You have inspired me and I designed my own labels on Canva for my mini cake pans! Thanks for sharing your awesomeness!🤩
Hello again, from Baltimore! Eggs and butter is what makes cookies spread for your FYI. Frozen cookies are difficult to scoop out so I recommend after freezing for about 10-15 mins take them out and weigh them and roll them into cookie balls. Place them on top of parchment paper and cover them with plastic wrap. Of course date and label them. Then you bake them from frozen as you need them without injuring your wrist😢. I learned this during my extern-ship after my baking and pastry arts college classes. 😊 I hope this helps, best wishes.
The expensive package looks more professional and dressed. The bag reminds me of a coffee shop cashual. The larger plastic container is for casual restaurants, for example, soul food or homecooking.
You have a good-sized pantry. I am so jealous. LOL. You might consider putting a lock on the pantry door to keep your son out of it. You don't want him to pull stuff down that might hurt him. I love the organization, and I am getting many ideas.
I learn so much from your videos! You're making me want to sell at the farmers market. I didn't see anything when you said look at the bar under the screen though.
I love the bags!! I enjoyed this video and seeing you continue to push in your business! Wishing you the best! I want to take my family to the next farmers market you’re in. I have to try these delicious treats! ❤❤
Those cookie ideas are great! The issue with them is they take longer as far as man power to get to the completed product. I know you will figure that into your prices. Congrats on your Farmer Market success!
Hi thanks for sharing your journey and Ideas I would go with the bags and jars I know you will do what works for you and thank you because you inspire me to keep going with my business I'm the opposite I'm not a cake person but want to learn I'm a cookie person Lol!!! good to see you again
Hi! 👋🏽 I decided to go with the jars. They were a hit and sold out. Yes, keep going and adjust as needed until you have created the business of your dreams! Ooo I need some pointers from you then! 🙌🏽
I love the jars and the bags. Have you thought of playing with a chocolate chip cookie base or a peanut butter cookie base? You could sub out some of the butter for cookie butter in the chocolate chip version and swap out the peanut butter entirely for cookies butter. The butter pecan cookie looks awesome! Love baby boy at the counter, reminds me of having my nieces and nephews in the kitchen with me!🤗❤
Whew.. I bet you WERE exhausted! I meant to also tell you, thank you for the blog posts! I’m feeling so brave about opening… but I am having the hardest time picking what I want on my menu! Can I request that you offer advice on your process for determining your menu, specifically if you are overwhelmed and don’t know where to start? I think that would be so so helpful.. I have a boatload of mini cake pans and your cake recipes ALWAYS hit 🙌🏽 y’all get your hands on those recipes she’s offering, it’s WORTH the investment. -shameless plug God bless you for just being you, really! You are all around inspiring and real.
Oh I know the struggle! There are so many things you can do, but you have to narrow down to like 3-5 options. Think about classic flavors/items and mix in maybe one or two new/seasonal flavors that your audience is interested in. Start with the basics and as you learn your audience you’ll be able to adjust. You can then always switch out or update flavors each month or so. Thank you for the plug on my recipes! I’m really happy you love them. Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤️🙌🏽
Hey can you experiment with something like soaked chia, flax, or hemp seeds. Or maybe ground chickpeas, steel cut oats, bananas, egg whites, beets. I hope your baking expertise can think of something great.
I'm a little late to this video, been busy making up my cookie dough to get ready for Christmas. I not only bake cookies for profit, but I also every year give out a special cookie Christmas Box for family. In that personal Cookie Christmas Box is 1 dozen cookies usually 4-5 different flavors. With so many different cookie flavors to do, (12 last year), I make the freezable doughs ahead of time up to the part that it would just need to be taken out and baked off. This leaves me with more than enough time to do other cakes, treats, or cookies that require to be baked as made without being overwhelmed close to the holidays. Definitely count cookies as you pack them in packaging for consistency and always weigh each cookie ball out. this is why on non rolled dough I will make the dough, weigh each lil ball, and then store to be frozen. I then only have to pull X number of cookies if need be for rush order or last minute bake sale filler. The bags are the best way to go, they are gonna be best on price, best on storing, best on transporting. Craft packaging is always good too because you can customize it so easily, especially since you already make your own labels. Good luck my friend. I thank you for all your advice over the years. I'm still trying to get my cake on as good as you!
There’s also a new trend people may or may not know it’s the little free bakery it’s like the free library the little birdhouse things where you leaves books take books for free but now people use it for baked goods

I would go with the bag because at a fair i wonder if they would just throw the jar away. I dont like plastic in the trash so im kinda thinking at a event the bag would ne better.
So I know I'm a little late to the game. But you asked for comments on the cookie jar and I'll toss in my own opinion on the large cookie. As a lady who's trying to watch her weight in my opinion the big cookie would be too much of a temptation. Furthermore come on the cookie jar that is just too darn cute. You can have one maybe two cookies and feel satisfied because they're so delicious.
It's a pleasure watching your journey! I believe the farmer's market will be a success as you are well-prepared. I enjoy baking in my leisure and for holidays. Are you looking for a new virtual assistant? I'm available!

Also counting out the cookies per packaging helps alot too when calculated the price (s). Great idea! Thank you!

Yes!! They take a long time but I saw someone say to roll it out, then cut the circles 🤯
That's a great idea, rolling and cutting them out! I was thinking to use mini muffin tins, but that's more expensive and time consuming lol.
Love the bag and jars! Super cute 😍

Just an idea, not sure if it would work but what if you make a full sheet cookie then cut out the cookies once its cooked 🤔 ❤😂
Love the bite size cookies. How did you get the portioned so evenly?
I started by weighing them (about 25 grams each I believe) then I could eye it from there!
Babysitter!!! I couldn’t do the farmers market this year because I didn’t had any one to pick up my oldest from school and watch my 2yr old 😢
Yep, it’s an under discussed topic! So sorry to hear!

What if for the mini cookies you rolled out the dough into a long rod and then cut medallions?
That is such a smart idea! Thank you so much!!
Hi, are you willing to share how much you charge for your mini loaf cakes?
For sure! I charge between $5-10
Are those jars airtight? If so, they would last longer than the bags
Maybe! I believe the bags can be heat sealed too though! So that makes another layer of protection.
Good luck in all your endeavors. Im in some of the same situations with having children and trying to make some money. Lol.
I would love to talk to you about your virtual assistant needs. ❤

Great points!!
smak your pan of cookies as they come out of the oven.
Thank you for the tip!
Buttermilk should never go to waste. Freeze it. Use sour milk to bake better cakes.
So how much would you charge for both?
These are just round about prices and I would have to crunch the numbers for sure but for the tubs I would do $8-12, bags and jars $6-8
Those are just my initial thoughts!
Cookie Jars!!!!
Yep! Customers LOVED them and thought they were so cute! Loved the play on a mini cookie jar ❤️
Nice
Thanks!
