I have this device, only few N64 games run just fine but you often have to change emulators. Controls are sometimes unsupported in certain cores making them unplayable and sometimes there are boot failures, crashes and glitching. I recommend getting an original system with the Super 64 or emulate the roms on a PC. For the later systems you don't get the best emulators and the device just isn't powerful enough.

I bought it off AliExpress too. I think the controllers are ok 👌 but am going to try a USB controller instead of wireless to try and cut down some of the lagging. It might also be worth noting that quite a few of the games error out and don’t load. Also some of the computer 💻 games for the Sinclair and Commodore require a keyboard ⌨️ to play them.
What games on what system didn't work? The Atari ST and intellivision games aren't playable either. You need a keyboard and that unique controller for intellivision.
Hey Russ, recently got one of these and the video game audio doesn't seem to work after having the console for only two days (audio was working now it isn't), I've tried for ages to fix it, what is the way to solve this issue?
Hey, thanks for the review. I bought it for my son right after watching your review. However, I got it today and I experience a big input delay/lag. The games we tried run smoothly (nes/snes/ps1/gba) but there is always an input lag over the entire system (about 300ms) even in the EmuELEC menu where you can choose the system and games you want to play. So it's not related to a particular emulator or game. I have the ps2-like controllers. Do you know how I can get rid of the input lag? It's pretty much unplayable with such a big lag.
Don't know if you are still having this problem, but I'm inclined to think the lag is coming from your TV. Most TV's have a game mode that reduces the input lag. I'd give that a try. Of not, try it on a different TV and see if the lag is different.
You mentioned the the pro does not have bluetooth. From other videos I've seen it seems the previous model does have it. Can anyone confirm this? Seems a little strange and kind of a big oversight for the "pro" version.

Is it possible to toggle the side bar graphic banners? On and off? Can you download additional games directly to the device without needing a computer, etc.?
Yes, you can turn off bezels in the main menu. You should be able to download games from your phone and connect to the Super Console X via FTP apps on your phone, I would check recent MashTec videos where he demonstrates how to do this. The FTP credentials are found in the EmuELEC wiki page.

woah. never knew something like this existed.
Maybe in the future there'll be one similar that can emulate heavier consoles.
@@okene Wait so you can get a gt king and them put the SD card in?
Nvidia shield box can run Dreamcast and some GameCube
It sounds too good to be true honesty.
How do you set up invincibility or easier levels on arcade games etc?
I just got this device for Christmas because I'm a old school retro gamer and it works just fine but, how in the hell do you make the device ready to save. Like playing MvsC2 I want to be able to unlock all the characters but, it states save unavailable upon the launch of the Dreamcast game.
Excellent review
Thanks Victor 😎
Hey could you upload the content of that 4 GB card? I bought a Super Console X Pro, but mine didn't come with that secondary SD card at all. I'm interested to see those video tutorials especially.
It is only EmuELEC software to download free and some games in rom format + some config to do. You can do it on almost any Amlogic chip tv box...
2 things! How do i get rid of the corners to make the game full screen and in the dreamcast capcom fighting collection, how can i move the thumbnail?
Hello i have the super console pro, i have a problem i adjusted the controller buttons and i messed up, now i can't to open the options with start button or select and fix it, what can i do please help me thank you.
Outstanding review. Which would you choose, the console x pro or the gd10 pro x2 plus game stick?
I have a bit of a delay between pressing the button and the intended action (with different controllers) and I haven't found out how to fix this. Any idea?
Nice review video as always 👍🏼
Thanks John!
Does it have Saturn and how is the emulation? Is it compatible with any USB controller. And are there any games that originally used track ball. I was looking at an arcade Cabinet with similar setup but it was $1600. But the track ball and light gun support was cool
Rock solid review Russ!! 👍👍👍👍
Hello, can l ask you about controler ,l bought a new one but it cant be 1st and cant out the game as push start and select twice .
Thanks for the great review. Good work. I've grabbed one for my sons (4,9) who are mad about Mario.. my 4yo can't get enough of Super Mario Galaxy, so I'd like him to try Mario 64, and Super Mario World.
Any idea if the Atari sections include Missile Command, Enduro and Space Invaders? Thank you!
Is there a way to return to the gaming main menu from within a game? I just got mines yesterday and seem to have to reset to play a new game...
Any way to run DOSBOX on here? I have the Cube X3... but I imagine it would work the same.
I’m new to all these retro emulators. I bought the handheld ANBERNIC RG351V. Will the SD card of games from that work on the Super Console X Pro as well? Would I be able to swap it back and forth between the devices in order to play handheld or play on the tv?
I'm being like a .5 second to 1 second lag on input on controller. Makes it really hard to play something like Original Super Mario Bros where your timing has to be precise. Any quick fix on this?
SO much info... I can't figure out how to go back out of games to the main menu. Any tips?
I got the console x pro because of this video and out of the box everything played great especially Nintendo 64 but I was playing Mario 64 and try to have it play a little smoother I think I got some of the settings messed up. is there anyway you can tell me the original settings so I can change it back? Thanks

I didn't get the 4GB SD Card with my Console X Pro. Any chance you could upload the contents of that card? I could use the tips as I'm a noob and having some issues.
Have you tested marvel vs Capcom 2, WWF Royal Rumble, and power stone on Dreamcast? What emulator did you use for dreamcast? I tried Dreamcast games on my RPI 3b+ and it stutters like crazy.
So if you inserted the mirco sd that has the games in the pc will it show a folder of the games or something different and how do i add the games
Is the KISS video game for Sega Dreamcast included in this console?
hi i need help... everytime i try adding my own games , it loads them up but then i get a emulec blue screen error log, shuts down and goes back to emulator menu?????????????????????
I have two issues. Some of the games such as gauntlet will not work. Blue screen appears. How do you fix?
I hooked up generic Amazon USB joysticks the USB. Dragon. I configured the controllers but They eventually become unresponsive after a while and won’t even be recognized by the gaming console itself.
How do you set N64 to 320x240? It doesn't give me a resolution option that low in the settings. I'm running in 16:9, is that part of the problem?
I just ordered one of these for me and my son what wireless controllers do you recommend because i really don't wanna use the ones that come with the console
For the sega master system games is there an option to map the buttons on the controller to pause the game or is it default
Russ, how do I set up ZX Spectrum games to play? IE what settings for my controller? Everything else works like a charm!! Cheers, from Ireland.
Great vid thank you! What about the AV port? Is easy to connect to a CRT? Just put the cable and done?
I got the Sn30 pro+ controller, and the 8bitdo wireless receiver (grey edition), but when I go to configure my controller in the superconsole x pro, it doesnt recognize the analog sticks. Idk what i'm doing wrong and it is very frustrating.
Loved this review! I actually just purchased the one on Amazon for $92, before I did i was looking for reviews and realized companies should pay you! I wouldn’t have purchased this without your review! However, could you post the name or the model for that better controller you recommended for this?! Thank you brotha! Happy and safe New Years
Just got this. many arcade games don't work. It shows EmuELEC Error blue screen with grey center screen and black code text. What is solution?
Is it possible to toggle the side bar graphic banners? On and off?
Can you download additional games directly to the device without needing a computer, etc.?
Yes, you can turn off bezels in the main menu. You should be able to download games from your phone and connect to the Super Console X via FTP apps on your phone, I would check recent MashTec videos where he demonstrates how to do this. The FTP credentials are found in the EmuELEC wiki page.
Hi I bought one it's great to have.can you help me I'm exploring the settings I may turn something on and when it rebooted it only say preloading UI don't know what to do? Thanks in advance
