Nice job 👍… replace fuel pump and gear pump 3 weekends in a row. Use whatever tools you’re comfortable with. I have a tech who has everything Snapon and never meets SRT times. I have another one that has no tools and is hands down our best mechanic

Thank you 🙏🏾 Its a common issue on those models, the new ones I’ve heard so far aren’t having those problems. I think it’s the mechanic that makes the tool, A good dedicated mechanic will do what they’d have to do to complete the job with or without the tools.

Do you have to do the timing in order to replace the gasket ?

at the begining of your video you state it is leaking fuel, the o ring you replaced seals engine oil, the fuel leak is out the weep hole in the pump and it should have been replaced, invest in impact swivel sockets i recommend snap on brand for long wear and they fit in tighter places than some brands.

I’ll look more into the weep hole on this pump, thank you for the feedback. I will also see what they have next truck visit.
