Talk about full circle for Hardman. It must have been an amazing moment when he caught that ball in surrealistic fashion. Thanks Andy for the corndogs :)
Consider this: The last four players to score a touchdown for Kansas City in the Super Bowl: -Skyy Moore -Kadarius Toney -Marquez Valdes-Scantling -Mecole Hardman
I still can't fathom how the Jets entire season ended in 4 snaps and less than 3 minutes. No serious backup plans, nonsense on and off the field, it was just a group collectively slamming their heads against a wall for 17 weeks.
Mecole Hardman played zero snaps for the jets and it made no sense. I was angry just watching the bs so when he found his way to the chiefs I’m glad his season story ended this way as a final smack in the face to the pathetic jets.
Do a freeze frame just before the snap of the ball, and you'll see most of the 49er secondary is watching Kelce. After the snap, the CB (ex-Chief Ward) immediately commits to Kelce, helping create the opening for Hardman. On his New Heights podcast, Travis told Jason as soon as he saw Ward commit to him, he expected the TD to Hardman. Double teaming #87 in the red zone makes sense, but it helped turn Hardman into a Super Bowl hero.
He was useless due to JETS MISMANAGEMENT! And Jets fans ripped him apart during his stay and after his departure from the Jets. But as a Chiefs fan (since 1966), I welcomed him back because he is a quality receiver. And he showed his true colors yesterday. Thanks, Jets. 😉
Wow. Found someone watching Chiefs as long as I have! Watched the 1st Superbowl (though that wasn't what it was called) with my dad as a toddler & then again in 69 and suffered through all the lean years. Jets failed to utilize Mecole. It wasn't his fault but they gave him a lot of grief about it. I was glad when he came back here.
Id say crappy Organizations like panthers, Jets, and Bears.......Caleb Williams avoid BEARS at all cost come to my Patriots or any other team with a rich history of winning.....
He focused, he was clutch, and he made two incredible plays. I love it. No matter what he does from here out he stamped his name into the history books. Corndog and Patrick made it look easy. The Chiefs beat the best and trolled them doing it.
Jets look stupid, you know nothing, Mecole show cased his speed getting deep showed his good hands and showed clutch catching game winner in OT in front of the world,
@SenorJuan2023 The corndog play they're talking about has a WR go in motion pre-snap and then turn back after the ball is snapped. It works best against man defense since the corner will either run with him and get caught up in traffic or he'll shift the WR to the corner on the other side and focus on the receiver inside. The Chiefs have run this play 3 times over the last 2 Super Bowls and corners have done the latter each time.
The play design is to exploit defenders that trade off coverage, a lot of them don’t do it properly. Especially late in the game, they cheat a little and it just makes them more out of position for this play design.
So happy to see Hardman produce in crunch time. Hope to see him as a Chief next season. Scantling as well. Rice of course. Hell I'd even take Toney if he and Andy had a come to Jesus meeting. For whatever reason, I think Toney needs a father figure in his life. No offense intended. It's a figure of speech.
Jets are just bad actors. Nothing was wrong with Hardman it was what was wrong with the Jets. It's always been that way with that team and it'll probably never change. It's the culture. Hard to change culture. It's to ingrained.
New York is a perfect microcosm of The New York Jets. Nobody can tell them nothing and wrong about almost everything. Thanks, Robert Saleh, for the SB Hahahahah
A BB defense would not leave any player so free at the biggest moment of any game and of course not with a play we had seen two times in the last SB. Pats had beaten the chiefs with Brady in the playoffs! So Lynch and Shanahan should call BB to be their next DC. But I think he will be too proud to accept anything else than a HC job!
The play is designed to create a conflict with the inside and outside coverage dbs. You'd think SF would have watched at least a little tape of last year's Super Bowl. The coverage wasn't blown, it was out-leveraged.
Now THIS is the Jets content we’re looking for.
Mecole Hardman was like "Gotcha b****!!!!" on this final play.
Talk about full circle for Hardman. It must have been an amazing moment when he caught that ball in surrealistic fashion. Thanks Andy for the corndogs :)
apparently he spaced out or so said Mahomes
Mecole said he "Blacked out".
Don't you mean cornhole? 😂

I like Hardman…..had to have Patrick tell him he just won them the game. That was gold. Humble guy.
I still can't fathom how the Jets entire season ended in 4 snaps and less than 3 minutes. No serious backup plans, nonsense on and off the field, it was just a group collectively slamming their heads against a wall for 17 weeks.
I forget the game it was but I picked him up off waivers and he scored me 20 points. Always had a soft spot in my heart for Mecole ever since
When you use the Cornhole play, you'll always be left "wide open".
Mecole Hardman played zero snaps for the jets and it made no sense. I was angry just watching the bs so when he found his way to the chiefs I’m glad his season story ended this way as a final smack in the face to the pathetic jets.
Thank You! The Jets are bums.

Toney last year. Hardman this year. Getting the feeling NYC is missing the script.
New York is a perfect microcosm to compare to the New York Jets can't tell them nothing and wrong about almost everything 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wonder if Reid will name a play "nuggies."
_"great googlimoogly"_

Jets team and their fans should be happy that they contributed to the SB this year.
Are Jets fans this tedious? Damn I thought the Forty Whiners were the most annoying.
The Jets are bums have been since after SBIII

Thank you! New York jets.
I’d love to get Mecole back. He still looks good and he will always have a role carved out in Andy’s system.
I was hoping Rich would bring this up lol
The play was actually "Tom and Jerry" which is very similar to the "Corn Dog." The Similarity was the whip route. Money.
It's almost like everyone is useless when playing for a crappy owner.
Id say crappy Organizations like panthers, Jets, and Bears.......Caleb Williams avoid BEARS at all cost come to my Patriots or any other team with a rich history of winning.....
Unless and until the Jets get a new owner, new management, and new coaches, this type of nonsense will continue.
58 for 58! So glad Chiefs won this year, the 58th Superbowl, the same number Derrick Thomas wore for the Chiefs.
Honestly, as Niner fan, yah, getting reminded of what the Bill’s fans have gone through… not going to complain. Levels of pain…
Kinda like how the Diva refused to work with his rookie receivers in GB. This has Aaron's fingerprints all over it
Told you...Jets completely mismanaged their team and entire season.
Jets weren’t even using him.
So the Jets got him & screwed him around as they do everyone & sent him back to the Chiefs? Talk about giving the Jets the big middle finger?
That is the phrase: "useless for the Jets " The Jets are a sad sack franchise.
The corn dog play rule
That's two ex-New York (Giants--Toney, Jets--Hardman) receivers turned Super Bowl "corndoggers" for the Chiefs.
It's obvious the problem is with Jets management.....
This is the closest the jets are ever coming to winning a super bowl
He focused, he was clutch, and he made two incredible plays. I love it. No matter what he does from here out he stamped his name into the history books. Corndog and Patrick made it look easy. The Chiefs beat the best and trolled them doing it.
Much love Micole
Jets look stupid, you know nothing, Mecole show cased his speed getting deep showed his good hands and showed clutch catching game winner in OT in front of the world,
BACK TO BACK BABY
How was he SO wide open?
Bad defense 😃😃😃
Because the db locked on Kelce who went inside.

Mahomes faked like he was going to run it at them which froze them for that half second needed for the wr to get the separation

Poor Rich. The Jets sadden him so.
The Jets, where winning goes to DIE !!!!
Harsh, but funny!
I don’t think mcole will be leaving anytime soon
Sounds like a coaching issue lol
Coaching and organizational issue maybe? They were the only constant in these scenarios lol.
Jets don't know what to do with a gifted player.
I’m guessing he wasn’t on anyone’s list of prop bets.
It's not a coincidence that all those players listed, went to the Jets, then all of a sudden started sucking 😂
Gooooooooooo chiefssssssssssssssss
Jets are just bad actors. Nothing was wrong with Hardman it was what was wrong with the Jets. It's always been that way with that team and it'll probably never change. It's the culture. Hard to change culture. It's to ingrained.
Two weeks ago you didn't like Mecole, Rich. You said some bad things..
This is the closest the Jets will ever get to the Super Bowl. Terrible owner and terrible organization.
He caught a wide open pass im not sure our guy is really great lol. He got his job as a PR taken by Xavier Gipson.
New York is a perfect microcosm of the Jets can't tell them anything and wrong about almost everything. 😂
New York is a perfect microcosm of The New York Jets. Nobody can tell them nothing and wrong about almost everything. Thanks, Robert Saleh, for the SB Hahahahah
How shocking that Rich would find an irrelevant Jets reference to the game.
Rich please it’s just the Jets. Where quarterbacks go to die.
Wanted To See Lions Instead Of 49ers.
Wanted to see Taylor Swift top less instead of Jason Kelce

Corn dogs are good
At least it wasn’t Denzel Mims
Cornhole 😂
For those who don't know, Cornhole is a popular game played by trying to toss a bean bag into hole. Much like the game horseshoes.
@@jaredjones6292 Oh really? That’s some ground breaking news! 🤣
So corn dog is the destiny 😂
"Castoff".... Good one!
nuggie 48 nuggie 48
Freudian slip there, Rich...lol.
Tyreek who?
I thought it would be more cornhole comments.
First 🎉
There was a blown coverage the reason being he was wwide open.

@@csb78nm the weakest part of the defense was is the db. There is one that chiefs took advantage.
Hard to get excited with the NFL anymore, with Patriots/Chiefs winning many of the Super Bowls the past twenty years or so.
Yall acting like the Chiefs have been relevant the last 20 years
this was the most watched superbowl of all time so sounds like a u problem
