International Six Day Enduro 1989

The 64th ISDE 1989 moves into the modern era as the enduro action transfers to Walldurn in what was West Germany. More than 450 riders from around the world faced a different sort of challenge to their predecessors in the Isle of Man - this time dust, power sliding and motocross-style tests were the order of the six days.
Among the stars you can see in action are Dakar Rally aces Stephane Peterhansel and Gilles Lalay, American Terry Cunningham, Jeff Nilsson of Sweden and Britain’s own Paul Edmondson, whose battle for 125cc honours is simply breathtaking. Add in the all-star Italian and Finnish teams, featuring the likes of Stefano Passeri, Gianmarco Rossi Kari Tiainen and Jukka-Pekka Leino, and you have the makings of a truly dramatic international Enduro showdown.
