I loved spotting the Easter eggs in this film, especially in this sequence. One of my favourite Easter eggs in the race is at 2:15, when Art3mis, Parzival and the other racers pass a movie theatre, which as promoted on its marquee, is screening Jack Slater III, the movie-within-a-movie from Last Action Hero starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I found this Easter egg clever, since Zak Penn, who co-wrote the screenplay for Ready Player One also co-wrote the story of Last Action Hero.

I've watched this movie a while ago and never noticed all the car references. I want to believe that the wrecking balls were a reference to Acceleracers, and the Junk Realm, but I feel like that's too far fetched. Though it kinda isn't since AcceleRACERS is heavily focused on RACING.
Something I have wondered as time has went on. Was it possible to be fast enough to be beat Kong before he got to the spot and ends you? Yeah I know you do the race backwards, but if you could mod the hell out your car and makes it fast, damn fast without say cheating, could control the speed and not hit a trap or get taken out by another racer, you think a car could have been fast enough, hit the nitro and make that jump before Kong even gets there?
