New Cookware and Tableware for the Chateau! 🎁

- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. RUclips earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:
July 2020:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

I watch other Channels but no one has anything on Stephanie’s attitude, personality, positivity and charm. She could do anything and we would watch ❤ her cadence and pronunciation makes just listening to her a dream (a real radio voice) 🥰

Stephanie is a storyteller. Check out opening of the child’s tea set. “I don’t know let’s find out? Let’s find out?” It draws us into the mystery of the opening.

Lancelot is loving being with you all. Reminds me so much of my dog when we have guests. She comes in the room and sits by me and doesn’t leave……..so dear…..dogs are wonderful…….
You could totally use that little pink dish for your rings or earrings when you’re going to bed, I have a little dish next to my bed for those things.
Lancelot is so cute in his little jumper. He's got his ski instructor jumper on. He's such an adorable dog. Born to be loved.
Finally, the Borrowers inhabiting the nooks and crannies of La Lande have kitchen camo of their own!

The tiny Blue Willow set is a child's set, I believe. I had one as a child for my "tea parties". It matched my mother's set.

Postage is so exspendsive here, it would have cost $100s to send that!!!
Yes I've sent something to France not that long ago and it was $200 for 2 books . But it's great to see some Kiwiana things arrive at lalande.
It cost 195 to send the parcel, but well worth it for the team
@@predatornz.5493 Think they realize this and that may be why they will be ending it soon (showing it on the vlogs?) It is so nice of people to do this and yet it is a great expense. Many Chateaus leave that part out of opening gifts .

How very thoughtful of you, Stephanie, to consider those of us who may not be able to be with family on Christmas. I usually see my two kids on the holiday, but as life can be very complex sometimes they can’t make it. Not that I mind the company of my two black cats. Geneviève and Bastet, but human companionship is nice too. 😊 Happy advent!
Your Christmas will be similar to mind. Distance and busy lives make it hard often for families to get together and the older one gets the more you remember how busy one was cooking, baking and really enjoying the festivities with family. Great memories. So, you just find new ways to make memories when this happens and yes, this is one great way. I feel like Stephanie and the family/friends are mine too! It is strange and some think I am crazy, thinking people on You Tube are my family too, and yet this is how I feel as I see more of them! lol (They do not see me though)
I do the same with Simon and Vivienne and their vlogs! If I had a Chateau in France near them at all, and in anyway, they all would be invited, and I pray they could come~ I do feel they are family/friends, and would be hurt if not, but not angry at all. I know they too are very busy! I do understand things as such.

Cadeaux on Christmas day will be perfect after a day of cooking and sorting everyone out, I can sit with my cheese and Bordeaux wine and do nothing but enjoy. Thanks for another one. Would have loved that tea set when I was young but have my grown up Limoges one now.

I have the same tiny dinner/tea set. It was my mother's too. She is 76. we have it in a mini curio cabinet. This has sparked my love of Blue Willow. Enjoy!

I am in my late sixties and have a willow pattern dolls tea set, with tea pot sugar bowl and cream jug, this set was my mothers and she gave it to me many years ago, I have never seen one like it before.

Cookie cutters can look very good as Christmas ornaments hung on the tree, dangled from ribbons in windows. ( maybe on the kitche garland)

I know there is a mountain of work that goes into the cadeaux sessions, especially in December, but would you consider expanding the remaining sessions or doing a mammoth end-of-year show so that we can see as many submissions as possible? That would be my Christmas wish and I promise to never ask for anything else! The card shows a kowhaihai for those who have difficulty pronouncing MAORI here’s the easy version ko fai fai. We do have amazing things here in NZ 😂 the word Rata pronounced rah ta. Love watching Cadeau at the Chateau.

WEll! When Stephanie mentioned the PINK glasses I happily thought of those in the kitchen cupboard. Long ago, at the beginning of the diaries, I was delighted that she and I use the same pink glasses. I started out 25 years ago with a CUP and saucer in that pattern. I broke it. And during lockdown, with time on my hands I searched the internet for pink glass cups -- found them. The pattern is called PINK SWIRL. I became PINK SWIRL mad and now I have a set of wine glasses, champagne glasses and a water glass -- all pink swirl ordered online from everywhere. I'm also starting to accumulate other pink swirl-ish candy dishes and the like. Irresistable. Pink Swirl forever!
(I heard Philip say something about some Versailles glasses? Well, if you must!)

I have that tea set too! I never wanted to play with it for fear of breaking, I just wanted to look at it! There is a tureen with a lid, teapot & sugar w/lids and creamer that goes with them. If not in the other box, Phillip will have a new excuse for brocanting.
