Some people just want to fight God. They can't accept an all powerful being passing judgment upon them one day. They love being the god of their own mind. This is a simple way of absolving responsibility onto others or to just believe the god of their own mind is responsible. To hold as true a real God is just too scary for them. On the creator has to have a creator point, I think you missed the claim of the Bible that there is an eternal God who has no creator. If there is nothing that is eternal we have something illogical going on which is an "infinite regress." I can understand why people reject complex design, however I think the universe has too much specificity to just simply say it just evolved that way. Evolution is mainly about adapting which means if the source of information is in the genes then the mutation will occur if needed from environment changes but if there’s not a source of base information like for example a panda only eats bamboo and as far as I know ( I am not a genetic expert ) then the panda has no base information to adapt to eat something else other than bamboo the species will die out but if the genetic material does have the information to change from bamboo to something else over time then the panda will have a chance to survive but the mutation has to have a source of information in the genetic code because otherwise it’s impossible
Panda's have the digestive system of a carnivore. They have evolved to eat something that there was a plentiful supply of, but it has such little nutritional value they have to eat a lot of it.

For instance, much of the Old Testament is written as historical narrative and should be read as history. Just as the Psalms are written as poetry. And where metaphors are used, understand the writing in that context. And context is very important in understanding the Scriptures.

I really feel like the argument of intelligent design is bad, because evolution can perfectly well explain the evidence we have. The cosmos itself being so fine tuned as to allow beings with free will to evolve and to exist is a much better argument, especially because no evidence beyond the big bang is retrievable. What came before cannot be answered. What is 14 billion years to an omnipotent all-knowing god? Seven days?
Look Christian's, and I say this kindly, quoting the Bible to atheist or agnostics won't work on them because they don't recognize the validly of the Bible you are preaching. And saying but God says, or you can't understand without the Holy Spirit, or some faith argument is counter-productive because again, it's Bible motifs. You can't use the Bible to prove itself if its kingpin claims are suspect to them. Where did the Books come from? Who decided which books were to be included and why? Where did the Old Testament come from? How do you know the virgin birth is true? Etc. They ask big questions but most Christina's can only respond with Bible stories and simple verses. If you can't explain to yourself why you believe it, you can't convince others to believe it. Why do you believe? Is it because it's what your parents followed? You got lucky and the correct denomination or religion knocked on your door? Or did you search for the truth and this is where you landed? You need to explain yourself to them. And if you can't, then you are just a passenger along for the ride of someone else's train. And as far as design goes, many scientists and non-religious don't discount that the universe was created or designed. It's as valid as any other theory. They just don't think religion provides the answers to that question.

Evolution as a process has a lot of evidence for sure, and evolution as an ORIGIN is i think the reason why cliffe reacted that way. The evolution as an origin theory is pretty weak and definitely not scientifically proven.

Small changes over many generations is definitely proven and is happening today. On the creator has to have a creator point, I think you missed the claim of the Bible that there is an eternal God who has no creator. If there is nothing that is eternal we have something illogical going on which is an "infinite regress."
I can understand why people reject complex design, however I think the universe has too much specificity to just simply say it just evolved that way. I believe there's a God who designed evolution (almost like how we humans develop algorithms) to work the way it does.

Evolution is mainly about adapting which means if the source of information is in the genes then the mutation will occur if needed from environment changes but if there’s not a source of base information like for example a panda only eats bamboo and as far as I know ( I am not a genetic expert ) then the panda has no base information to adapt to eat something else other than bamboo the species will die out but if the genetic material does have the information to change from bamboo to something else over time then the panda will have a chance to survive but the mutation has to have a source of information in the genetic code because otherwise it’s impossible
Panda's have the digestive system of a carnivore. They have evolved to eat something that there was a plentiful supply of, but it has such little nutritional value they have to eat a lot of it.

@@knxcholx That is not really the case. The Bible becomes easier to understand when you read the accounts as they are written. For instance, much of the Old Testament is written as historical narrative and should be read as history. Just as the Psalms are written as poetry. And where metaphors are used, understand the writing in that context. And context is very important in understanding the Scriptures.

Look Christian's, and I say this kindly, quoting the Bible to atheist or agnostics won't work on them because they don't recognize the validly of the Bible you are preaching. And saying but God says, or you can't understand without the Holy Spirit, or some faith argument is counter-productive because again, it's Bible motifs. You can't use the Bible to prove itself if its kingpin claims are suspect to them. Where did the Books come from? Who decided which books were to be included and why? Where did the Old Testament come from? How do you know the virgin birth is true? Etc. They ask big questions but most Christina's can only respond with Bible stories and simple verses. If you can't explain to yourself why you believe it, you can't convince others to believe it. Why do you believe? Is it because it's what your parents followed? You got lucky and the correct denomination or religion knocked on your door? Or did you search for the truth and this is where you landed? You need to explain yourself to them. And if you can't, then you are just a passenger along for the ride of someone else's train. And as far as design goes, many scientists and non-religious don't discount that the universe was created or designed. It's as valid as any other theory. They just don't think religion provides the answers to that question.
