That’s what you do in war. When your brothers and sisters in arms die in front of you, it’s hard to leave they’re corpses behind, even if there’s nothing in you, they were basically brothers and sisters to you, always watching your back, being your camouflage, your shield, and your sword, like wise you are theirs. War is horrible. But while it brings out the worse of humanity, it can bring out the best, complete strangers will become not just your best friends, but your brothers and sisters. You won’t even need to say it, when you look to them, you both already know, if one of you dies, it’ll be to save the other. That being said, Blake didn’t want to accept there was nothing left of Yang, that there wasn’t going to atleast be a corpse to burry. Weiss has grown accustom to this, she didn’t want to lose two sisters in one fight.

So many more. You have to remember, these kids are basically soldiers. But not just ordinary soldiers, they’re the most elite. Spec ops basically, each divided into a fire team (Groups of 4 soldiers, I use to mistake Fireteams for squads, squads consist of 2 fire teams.)

All I see is creators pandering to an LGBT audience who are just so desperate to “See themselves represented.” Yeah makes sense to focus on Blake having a breakdown instead of Ruby. If you think about it, 2:00 is the equivalent of Yang and Blake kissing. Cats kiss and show affection through gentle headbutts and slow blinking.

@@triple_ayyy6490 well i remember it being 6 months between v3 and v4, and it taking about a month or 2 to get to mistral, then the events of atlas happened in like, literally only 2 weeks.
Also, in case anyone was unaware, Arryn, Blake's actress, is 100% onboard the Bumbleby ship and has even said she considers herself the captain.
And Barbara! She loves the ship too.
That honestly doesnt mean the ship is well written or executed though. It has been getting better though. But mostly on Blake's side. I still see some issues with how Yang is portrayed.
Feels like a sinking ship to me. The writing needs to improve.

She's consistently been the best actress out of the four. Barb started out really pretty bad but has improved immensely. Kara too but she was less bad at the start. Lindsey's been pretty solid throughout.

I've seen a lot of people complain about how CRWBY hasn't had them kiss/make it official in some way, but I really REALLY prefer it this way. The way I see it, these two know how they feel for each other and show it sometimes through small displays of affection. But it isn't the time yet. They're in the middle of saving the world after all. It's quite honestly a cliché that the two meant to be in a relationship go right into it, and it's so refreshing to see two characters who don't dive all the way in and take things slow. Blake's wounds are still fresh from Adam, and the both of them know making things official now would admittedly be a distraction. Of course, they can't help it if they have an inclination to protect each other, but the same could be said for every other member on Team RWBY. Hopefully though, now that they're away from Remnant, they have some time to talk it over and properly evaluate if taking the next step is worth it. I love these two so much, and it makes me so excited to see how their relationship blossoms whenever they touch each other's faces, tap foreheads, think about one another, etc.
Well, y'all can dream about that. But I don't want to see Yang having "romantic" scenes with Blake. I just felt like Yang and Blake didn't have anything "romantic" to each other in volumes 1-3.
@@Bach1s. probably because they were just friends then? a little classic friends to lovers trope where it's platonic at first, something happens that moves them both past that (Yang fighting Adam at Beacon), and they both start developing feelings. i respect it if you don't like the ship, or shipping in the show in general! not everyone's cup of tea, and who am i to spill someone else's cup because it's not filled with the same tea as mine?

But as I look at Yang from volume 4 and 5, she felt like the thing that happened to her arm was her fault. She was trying to protect Blake like a huntress would do. Adam wasn't just an obstacle between Blake and Yang but with Yang, it was her fear of sacrificing something that can be a part of her. Blake was distant from her friends because of what Adam had said about destroying everything she cares about wherever she goes. So they were afraid of losing something important. Something that they care about. And while I see that as friends protecting each other, other bumblebee fans sew that as a romantic approach. You can drink your tea over there and it can taste great but I don't want to drink that tea. I'd rather have a coca-cola. But I respect you respecting me. So, just try to have fun with this show.
I guess for now they're just sort of the middle ground of friends and girlfriends?

They also show interest In other people before dating each other. Why do these things question the legitmacy and quality of the relationship writing here?
I honestly think it's a lack of maturity and just sheer stubbornness from certain factions of the fandom. Can't you enjoy that 2 people managed to find each other in the worst time of their people's history? Surely that's a story we can all latch onto and feel something for.

I doubt it was intentional, but there's a scene all the way back in Volume 2 where Yang tells Blake "If you feel like coming out tonight, i'll save you a dance"
People will still claim they don't have feelings for one another until they actually have a lingering kiss scene. You can actually see how in 1:57 Yang's light blush(that every female character, I think, has as a part of their character design) gets deeper and even connects through the nose bridge as she looks into Blake's eyes. In 10:05 Blake was *willing* to get after Yang after she vanished into the void, had Weiss not physically prevented her from doing so. Blake was taking the risk to die to get to Yang, she probably didn't even care about dying in this brief moment. They may not have uttered any romantic attraction through words yet, but gazes tell more than just words and the amounts of them just staring into one another's eyes, lasting many moments, tell so much. They are so gentle to one another, this reunion hug should be proof enough aside Yang's blush, this whole scene lasted around 15 seconds and is purely romantic. Even this 2:00 soft touch of them moving up their shoulders in sync, suggesting they just both breathe each other in.

Honestly for a while I was kinda upset that they split Yang and Blake up for most of this volume. The moments like the forehead scene happen and I’m like “ok there actually gonna be a thing” or at least they should when we see them in the alternate world in vol 9.
Yeah while editing i also realized that they were separated for most of the chapters too...🥺lets hope in V9 there will be a chance to make up for those lost moments!🙏

My favorite is 10! The way you can see (in the original clip) how Yang says hi to everyone shows so much of her relationship with each team member. Also just love soft Yang and Blake are in this scene of reuniting.
Have anyone notice they are fuckin stuck to each other ? Like literally in the circle blake could've gone to the spot infront of yang but nope- shes always right next to her. And i gotta say i love how after adam blake changed completely and joined in the joking with her team. Thats a huge character development for me and V8 Did not disappoint me. I absolutely loved blake for helping ruby and yang get along again (i doubt she cared if it happened when they first met) and the character development is still going! Im honestly hoping the team would be split apart too if they do land into another world. Just to add more bond to each team member then just their partner alone.

@@MrGameman12 you can critique some of the choices post Monty, but when asked about if LGBT+ characters were going to be included in the show, he said "what makes you think their aren't already"(or something close to that). Plus the fan servicey stuff from when he was there, shows something like this would had happened if not this exact example with Yang/Blake.
@@MrGameman12 I don't think anyone should assume what a person who's passed wanted or not. I'm sure his closest members of the team knew him enough to make their decisions. Just my opinion. And I respect yours but honestly I love bumbleby. And the amount of fans behind it proves that it was a great decision.

They totally like each other it's blatantly obvious for yang with the blush and her eyes In the reunited scene. The way Blake reacts to Yangs "death" is more than just a friend you can see it in her eyes just the pure horror and agony. I also love how the creators are able to use the characters eyes to show so much emotion its a really nice touch. I don't understand why people say the ship is rushed because the ship isn't even official yet.
Renora: 9 volumes, three of them spent on exploring their relationship, and how Nora doesn’t seem to have a life outside of Ren, only to decide to NOT date
BlackSun: 6 volumes of Sun simping, exploring the WF and Faunus, exploring Blake as a character… only to drop it in an episode
BB: 3 volumes and some implications very early, but ambiguous enough to be denied. Suddenly in love without much of a talk or even Blake apologising (after re-traumatising her “friend”) after having perhaps one of the worst fallouts of the entire show. Yang simping and forgetting about everyone else for a cat girl that abandoned her when she needed her the most and that thought of her that she was no much different from freaking Adam? Yang, honey, you can do better. A lot better. Weiss is right there, and if not, there’s also Jaune who needs to move on from Pyrrha anyways 😂

To be honest I like Bumbleby but I was kinda disappointed because Blake and Yang have kinda become one character and I know people are aloud tp develop but they kinda make it seem like Blake can't fight without Yang until the volume finale.
I kinda wanna see some more independence from both Blake and Yang and occasionally I think they should split the teams up because instead of it being team RWBY its more like RW-BY.
I still think the moments were cute but still this is all just my opinion so nobody has to agree or anything.
I think thats goin to happen in vol 9. Ruby and blake then weiss and yang. I do believe that the creators do listen to us because they had made a lot of character development and partner bonds in vol 8 and i do think theyre gonna make the obvious and separate them into opposites partners of their team. (we already saw blake helps ruby with yang when she cant call yang and we already saw weiss trying to get yang to understand that blake must of have a reason to leave) so i guess theyre going to add up to that
I agree. Especially with Blake. Don’t get me wrong, I adore the ship, just not the recent execution of it as of late. Blake’s character overall is what bothers me the most. Yang we get the whole arc of her recovery and Raven and stuff but Blake always is with someone. She was with her team, then Sun, then her parents, then her team again. Yang had time to herself and I feel she really developed here. Blake on the other hand, I feel has diminished overall. Like I understand going from being a loner to relying on people but her overall agency as an independent being shouldn’t be compromised as a result and I feel that’s been happening to her character in particular in recent years. I wish we see more of her activism and sense of justice that molded her character from the beginning. She seemed to have lost that drive over time.
@@ctcdreamer I absolutely agree. I hope in the new volume that they really develop Blake. But I also hope that as soon as Blake finds out Yang is okay that they don't make her rely on yang and become less Blake. No offense but at least when she was with sun she was still fierce.
@@Lil_lulu_heartfilia Haha. No offense taken! Although I don’t remember why she felt the need to slap Sun though. He was an active presence for Blake after the fall of beacon.
V4-V5 was really a turning point for Blake in discovering herself and family yet what happened at the fall of beacon broke her. I appreciated that she took time away to work her own stuff out but in the process, she left her partner and team behind. And we all know Yang has MAJOR abandonment issues so although Blake’s absence was beneficial to her, it definitely left a gap there. Honestly now there’s still some unresolved things I’d love for them to address onscreen. I think that’s a main substance lack for me there. A lot of it is unspoken and I get the Adam fight in V6 but it feels like they never really talked about anything onscreen. I just wished they did more with it. I can understand why many may feel like bumblebee doesn’t make sense, but it’s just a matter of poor execution in some areas imo.
In regards to agency, the most recent hint of Blake returning to her activism is wanting to break military protocol to inform Robyn in V7 because of the cause she fought for. But Blake just kinda seems bland as of late. Makes me sad. Sun, Yang, either way, they need to really flesh out Blake a bit better. And Sun may make a comeback in V9! That’ll definitely be interesting.
@@ctcdreamer I hope Sun does come back and I really really hope they do flesh put Blake and I agree. I wish that they had talked more about Blake and Yangs issues onscreen and not offscreen. I felt like that would make things better and make the ship seem more believable. But tbh I hope they don't do any ships for Blake until we finally figure out who Blake is because she really hasn't had Character development to me.
Based on how they are acting with eachother it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that they are actually already dating, all the kisses and stuff have just happened off screen.
But ultimately I don’t think that’s the case because I don’t think CRWBY would let their first kiss happen off screen. Say what you want about them but they aren’t stupid enough not to realise that Blake & Yang’s first would be a HUGE moment in the history of this show.
Yang's been my favorite character from the very beginning. Seeing her fall and disappear like that made my heart drop. Imagine my relief seeing that final scene where Ruby was waking up in what was later revealed to be the Ever After, knowing that meant Yang and the others were surely alive somewhere in there.

@@DocManhattansIntern Maybe it is because of the analysis that I've seen of RWBY like vexed viewer but before I wasn't analytical and I just wanted to enjoy the show, in Volume 1-3, I didn't see the chemistry with Blake and Yang. All I saw was friends being friends. While Bumblebee fans saw them being "romantic", I saw them being friends and helping one another and Monty said that this show was about "sisterly love" with the members and I was glad but when I see scenes like these, I just try to ignore it and try to listen to the story. Like the line Giorno said in Scrub for Hire "Who is the best JoJo?", "I don't want to reach that truth!"

When Blake and Yang reunited, I was all for shipping Bumblebee and was like "Yes come on!" and when they didn't, it turned to "Are you fucking kidding me?!" Then again, with the final battle at the end, that was a whole load of omgwtf for me. I only recently caught up with the series, and THIS was what I came back to? Way to set up the biggest cliff hanger ever CRWBY

@@justincooper1342 I disagree with this, the bumbleby hints are there since season 1, I just think it's hard to see for people who haven't been in a same sex relationship. Especially a girl/girl relationship. I say it from experience. And as for a character falling for another one instead of the one "baited for 5 seasons even though they are on 8 now, isn't so uncommon. I actually believe its written even better for not going down the obvious route.
@@bloobeyond Frankly, no. The inly moment you can even make any kind of argument for in Volume 1 isn't even a definite "ship tease" between ANY two characters.
And I don't buy that line, that people who're heterosexual are somehow "ignorant" to hints/moments of romance between homosexuals. I know that straight people and gay people can be different, but I don't buy that we can't "get" moments like that.
And some have tried to make the argument "Well, you'd support Bumblebee if it was heterosexual", and it's like...no, I wouldn't. Because, straight or gay, Bumblebee in the show is a rushed and cringy as hell ship only done for fan service and so RoosterTeeth can feel "progressive":/
Look...if the end-goal was Bumblebee and it was handled WELL, I wouldn't have as big a problem. But they ship-baited us for more than half of the show's current life. That's not being "unique" or "new", that's just a dick move. It's like...why'd you waste our time and get Eclipse fans' hopes up if nothing was gonna come out of it? Although I can't say I fully liked the whole "Korrasami" thing in LOK, at least that show actually paid off on the teases/hints for Korra and Mako BEFORE jumping into a new relationship.

Most of the antis are disgruntled Blacksun shippers upset because they feel their boy "deserves" Blake's affection because he's a nice guy. Sorry, but no. Yeah, the two had some light chemistry in the first couple volumes, but it was a cute little highschool crush that fizzled pretty quickly, and Sun got tossed into the friend zone by volume 4. By volume 5, he'd accepted it and didn't seem the worse for it.
Yang and Blake didn’t really have built up tho I can used your same argument the most Blake and yang had before volume 6 and 7 were that talk about yangs mom and that was just as teammates Blake and sun had so much build up for example the dance Blake blushing at sun in volume 3 him chasing after Blake at the end of volume 3 Blake and yangs build up came out of nowhere in volume 6 in the begging they didn’t talk now the are holding hands where was the bulid up instead on focusing on the ships RT needs to make team RWBY act like a team like in volume 2 and 3 and sun didn’t really get turned down it was un clear if he did

Guys Bmblb is not forced. If you look at Vol 5-8 you see some serious development. Their whole promise. That fuels their development. Ever since the fight they have grown closer. We all know that Yang has abandonment issues/ trauma. So the fact the Blake came back and has stayed by Yangs side. We can infer that Yang really appreciates Blake staying by her side. Her feelings must have gotten stronger to the point where she probably loves Blake. It's pretty easy to tell that Blake us In love with Yang because Blake is the one that initiates The head touch (Look closely) and Blakes reaction to Yang falling. If Bmblb was forced it would have been canon in Vol 2. Some say it canon now some are waiting till a kiss. Guys there is many parallels between Bmblb and Renora. Nobody is saying that Renora is forced. Blacksun does not have as much development. Their development only spands for about 3 vols. If you look closely there a ton of foreshadowing for Bmblb. Their aura colors complement each other. Their eyes colors complement each other. Suns shoes are even bmblb colored! There is even more foreshadowing than I can fit into here. If you never gone throught trauma with someone than it's easy to not understand their feelings. But Blake and Yang have gone through so much. It's easy to fall in love with people you gone through alot with. So their love makes sense. Thanks for reading.
It’s definitely not forced. There was plenty of subtext in the first 3 volumes. My head canon is that while Blake was crushing on Sun, yang had unrequited feelings for her but kept quiet cause she wanted Blake to be happy. After yang lost her arm however, I think Blake realized that while she may have a crush on sun, she is in love with yang.

It hard to see it because there isn't alot of screentime dedicated to them talking about their trauma. Something I hope we get in vol 9.

Yang and Blake start the series as complete strangers. They don't know each other at all and have ultimately arrived at this point (not together, but clearly in love with one another). They start needing to learn about each other and in the few scenes we get we do learn they have connected in a significant way, although it remains mostly unexplored what the connection is. They also STILL aren't together yet but I've watch 100s of straight couples get together on less and rarely heard it called underdeveloped or 'forced' (You didn't use that word, but you'll find it easily enough in this comments section). There's subtext in the first few volumes, but it is honestly subtext and can be read a few ways, so I'll never say it's obvious. It is to me, but I watch people be blindsided by lgbt couples that I thought were obvious on the regular, always with the same arguments.
Anyway, my real counterpoint: the reason Ren and Nora didn't need as much build up is they start the series as childhood best friends and in the first few episodes once they start appearing enough we also know they do like each other on some romantic level but neither is willing to say it. They also still aren't together yet, and have had far fewer scenes pertaining to their relationship than Blake and Yang.
We have actually gotten an inordinate amount of scenes for Bumbleby compared to other scenes focusing their relationship to eachother, and that's before all the other canon material that isn't just the show. RWBY is a show that tells you something once and expects you to keep up, if you missed it, you're screwed and later things will come from no where (i.e. Ironwood, the cues started in volume 2, good luck remembering something from 6 years ago if you never rewatch!)
