It sure does take time to do it right! Love the recessed lights, they look really nice.

Yes thank you, I was hoping to show it in this video fully installed but it takes more time to finish as I anticipated.

What's your spool gun welding setup? How do you like it? Do you cover that in a different video?

I have never talked about my welder no, the Spool gun (Spoolmate 200) is a Miller fitting the Millermatic 212 Automatic I have. For this type of work a TIG welder would be better but I don't have one, not going to buy one will manage without.

Hi Oskar, I can’t remember how thick your aluminium panels are? 2 or 3mm?
How did you choose that? I’m trying to figure out how thick ours will be, and looking at old buses, Airstreams etc., they are no thicker than 1mm?
Thanks for the video from 🇩🇰

I used 3mm aluminum plates at the floor and 2mm sheets for the wall and roof. Initially I planned to go with 3mm everywhere but when I saw how thick and heavy 1/8" ( 3mm ) is, I changed to 2mm. Stabil enough, lower cost, easier to lift and thick enough to not warp or get easy dented. Hav en god weekend !

Also, maybe I missed it, but is the reason for the caps just to allow you to not be perfect with the rest of the frame?

Thank you for the question. There are multiple reasons why I installed the caps, first of a beauty cap to hide the cutting seams. Second all 3x3" angles are cut shorter so they can expand when they heat up, the cap is glued on and let them do that beneath. Also doubling up the material on the corners makes them sturdier for tree branch impacts.

Do you think the 2005 model MAN 32.270 would be a suitable vehicle? Thank you..

I had to google this machine, did not know they exist. I have seen different axle configurations double with one lift axle and even single with two lift axles. It depends on what you wanna build but, I think this is not suitable for an Expedition truck. It is made for hauling huge loads and a camper box is a light weight, you won't have enough traction, way to stiff suspension/springs, no offroad capability.

Now that's next level. Great job on the end caps. 👏 👍💪🛠
I have to re-watch the tail light bar. How did you get the idea to build the lights resecessed? Unlike many who just build a box around a top mounted light.😮🛠🔩⚙️
