I love and appreciate any footage on Kadena, was an air force brat way back in 89-90 and lived off base close to gate 1 by the Sunabe seawall. Thank you for the video! Film on Kadena driving around as much as possible!
We are stationed at Kadena too. I’m studying Japanese as well. Totally understand what you mean about language learning being a long road. Omg! But it’s worth it! がんばってね
thank you for this, my husband and i are deciding on where to put in for his re-enlistment. I was curious to see what it would be like in Okinawa since our family will soon be becoming from the two of us to three. It's hard to imagine it but seeing this video has helped me vision what it could be like over there.
I'm so glad it helped a bit! we truly do love it here, but it definitely is what you make of it! It's extremely safe, the people are nice, and the water is stunning! & Congrats on your growing family 💗
I was stationed at Kadena from Aug 95 - Aug 97. Best assignment of my Air Force career. Went back twice on vacation while doing a remote. Planning on going back again soon. My second home from home!!!!
My husband just got orders to move to Okinawa.. I am highly stressed about what the transition is going to be like for me and how traveling with my service dog will travel and what those restrictions are.. Do you have any insight on how to adjust to living in Japan and how traveling with a dog is?
If it’s a service animal you should be able to stay with them the whole time. As for Japan, everyone is very nice. I would recommend learning a few useful phrases in Japanese and that will help a lot too. If you love the ocean Okinawa is a great place to be. Also very safe!
how exciting! bring your furniture if you're coming from the US, as there's fewer options here. if there's something specific you need advice on feel free to slide into my dms on ig! lol
would you say its hard or relatively easy for a military couple living in japan, i would like my wife to be able to be a stay at home wife, but im concerened about leaving the states and going to a 1 income household espcially if that 1 income is only coming from the military
Hi ma’am my daughter just went and she says she has to stay for 2 years without coming back to the states is that true? And how much is a ticket to come back to the states?
No, you are free to travel for leisure as you wish, but it's with your own money (given that you also have the time). I'm not sure how much tickets are, it really depends on dates etc. I'd recommend using google flights to see the most affordable options. Thanks for subscribing!
Oh how exciting!!! As for the spiders they are pretty scary but I've only seen them on hikes up in the trees! You'll also deal with less bugs if you don't live on the first floor!
更新楽しみに待ってました!
沖縄での生活を発信して頂きありがとうございます。外国の方の目線で映し出される沖縄、面白いですね😊

Nice video. I just think its mind blowing that that huge military base looks just like the US despite being in Japan. Its just crazy to me.
I agree, it's fascinating how different cultures can blend together in unexpected ways
It’s going to my first time moving there with my husband what are some things I should look out for or do or what do you recommend ?

the cost of living is very affordable here. and lots of opportunities here if she likes pet sitting or babysitting for extra cash!
Nice make!! :)
