Karen what a cracking video with you and the cattle ; so much love you have for the livestock and to top that it would be great to have the family in your video ❤
A really fun video Karen! Was like a Walk-N-Chat as you caught us up on all things farm related and family! Awesome that your sister and her Man are building their house close by! Having 5 siblings myself it amazes me sometimes how we fought as kids but as Adult Kids we find ourselves seeking one another out for company! Too funny hearing you say @ 8:18 "if they make me run today it could be all over"🤣 Very sweet of your Dad to make sure Isabella gets her meal without too much bullying! 🥰 And you are right about the Tractor Run...there is always next year or sooner if another is planned! 👍 Always love your explanations about the work and plans! Cheers from Across The Pond In COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO 👋
Nuts are always a good plan. I used to move over 100 cows with calves 3 to 5 miles with a pail of oats on the back of my 4 wheeler with a couple people following the slower ones on quite a busy highway. The older lead cows always knew where to go, the younger ones catch on quite quick when moving from 1 pasture to another.
Thanks Karen. Totally off the subject of farming, I got to see the number of likes go from 1.9 to 2,000. An added bonus was me being the 100th comment. It's the little things that make me smile.
Happy moo's just need Some porridge lick salt But don't leave in field Badgers and foxes licking it Marking keep nuts off Ground and come to farm Feed at night don't need TB Wire mesh gates
Cattle here in Canada are selling at real high prices about double over 5 years ago. Weaned calves selling for nearly $3000 cad which would be around £1800-2000 I believe.
Youve certainly got your cattle well trained Karen but there again I think if you rattled a bucket at me I'd also come running , the cattle are super fit and well fed , thanks for the video .
Karen you slipped up there and gave us a view of the silage bales that you avoided previously. Can't unsee it now😂😂 Great cattle and very manageable. Well looked after.
7.29min. When you forgot the fence tester you could have just got a bit of grass and tested it and obviously record the results for us 😂😮😅❤. Just saying like. Keep up the mighty work
That so nice you have room for your sister it would be nice to have family all around maybe you could get some help I don’t know I maybe wrong lol the cows are beautiful they were really close when you were walking down you looked scared I would be 😂hope all your family are well ❤
Very enjoyable good humoured watch Karen, a good run now and again is is the tonic after a heavy night on the town , practice with a long piece of grass on the electric wire fence and you will never again have to go down to the house for a tester ,i was skeptical at the start but tried it start with a long piece of grass and inch your way nearer to your fingers and you will find your own comfort Zone 👍
@karenmoynihanfarm Don't be, it is a tried and tested way of testing if a fence is working. Long piece of grass, hold it Long and if you get a little tickle the fence is working. If not, it's not.
Hi Karen, you mentioned that winter weather was close by, that being the reason for putting the cattle in the shed. Living here in Massachusetts where we get a good amount of snow, I'm wonder if you have to deal with snow in your part of the country? Always enjoy your videos!
Fair play to u and your dad karen ye are flying it on the farm onwards and upwards till the cattle prices drop😂😂 your cattle are looking well nice quality and very quiet don't normally get that with quality cattle u must be sleeping in the sheds and fields with them. 😂 can't beat new grass👍
Great content as usual Karen!!! I hope you get your tractor back real soon!! You need to have something covering your ears, a hoodie, earmuffs, or something !! I would hate for you to get sick!! Please be extra careful Karen, especially when working your cattle!!!! God bless you and yours !!!! Eddy
Would you ever use a bale splitter ? Would work well in that shed . Or one for the front loader would work very well . I don’t have one for you but someone might let you trial one 😅😅. Keep up the good work !
I just found your channel and subscribed! You have some nice-looking steers. Would I be correct in assuming that about three of them are Limousin, two Charlaois crosses, and a couple of Simmental crosses? Looks like some good genetics. Could you do a live sale or livestock auction sometime? Thanks for posting and God bless! S. Carolina USA
Can you build wherever you want in Ireland ? Wouldnt be allowed to do that down here in middle England without a lot of justification / livestock / man hours to get planning
Karen in years to come(God willing) ye will have a family village constructed right there. Fine healthy looking stock & at the end of the day , thats what its all about. Keep 'er Lit.
The views of the sun setting behind those mountains are stunning, beautiful place to live
Hi Karen. That's great price for the heifer. Fair play to the factory for paying that much .
