The back of the truck is great, especially with the partsforming making it 100% accurate. If only the shoulders were akin to the DNA version, a smaller version of this would be the perfect Prime.
I got so lucky finding the 102 Optimus Prime. I remember going to Target to look with my gf, and I practically screamed and grabbed it off the shelf. It was the last one there too

They probably will add a nemesis prime and shattered glass optimus prime soon with this mold, they did it with the Bumblebee movie optimus prime and they were amazing 3rd party figures and hopefully by then, they'll add the DNA shoulders as well, that'll be a double win.

honestly, I was kinda disappointed at the fact kts taller than Leader scourge but considering the fact that you could get both yolopark scourge and this optimus for 70$, its well worth it
In truck mode, the parts that attaches to the back... The parts that the trailer slides into can come off and there's a peg hole. I wonder if we'll get a trailer or maybe we can peg in another trailer from a different OP.
Correction: Most of the accessories given are remolds from indie 3d printed accessories for the ss102. The battle axe is not an upscale of the one that came with primal as the handle is different.
Looks promising, but I’d like to wait for version 2.0 of this, with BETTER head/face sculpture, better paint job (silver is over painted from mask onto helmet 😢 etc), better joints, better/no partsforming and better refinement here n there. But it’s a GOOD try and I do like it!
Yeah for me the longer exaggerated smoke stacks make him look more aggressive and emposing they just add a different dynamic look to him I really appeal to

This guy is pretty cool, ngl! But, I won't say hes _that_ much better than the original. The original still looks so close to perfect & he looks amazing! Also, this KO is too oversized. Optimus wasn't _that_ big in the movie & I'd like him to scale well with the other Studio Series [RotB] bois. I like the original more, tbh. I _REALLY_ can't wait to get my hands on him, preferably this year, but if I've got to wait 'til next year, then so be it. SS102's got to be the best Optimus Prime is Studio Series, ever! The back of the truck ain't that bad tbh, & the only thing that _could've_ been better was the top of the truck be molded in or painted red, instead of grey.
This figure really looks excellent, it surpasses the original figure in terms of design and accessories. And a nice analysis by the way 😄😎. But I just have one question. Sorry if I sound a bit boring saying this, but is this figure likely to have some toxic material like lead-based paint? It's because a while ago I learned that certain toys from third-party brands may have the risk of having lead-based paint in their structure, which is a toxic material, and this makes me worried about buying figures from third-party brands.
The parts are not tightly linked together, there are many gaps. I couldn't attach the front of the truck until I filed down the plastic. But overall this is a pretty good product for the price, many accessories, nice paint color.
I didn’t realize it was oversized. Despite being a great deal, I’m really disappointed they didn’t keep it the same scale, and use the extra budget to fix those stupid shoulders and smoke stacks. It’s now a major disappointment that I can’t use all the accessories with the original version if I wanted to mix and match. Just some baffling decisions. Already placed my order 2 weeks ago so it’ll be in soon, at least I know before getting it. Thanks for the review!
I got this already and MHM-01 is freaking awesome and much cleaner than the original, both robot and truck modes. I hope they come out for the rests of the characters especially Scourge.
I got mine a few weeks ago and it is amazing. Can’t stop admiring the paint. I found it not long after you posted that first video about it and ordered it right away. I love it!

Looks even better than studio series ROTB Optimus Prime although there's two things I do not like this figure is smoke stats that will hit his head if you lift his shoulders up and lack of Autobot insignia on his shoulders. Still great figure 👍
we still need another Magnificent Mecha Optimus prime but except it's a rise of the beasts version that would be areally accurate version of rotb optimus prime as a transforming threezero of himself
I just got him and they are basically the same height. Optimus edges him out, but it's so minor and only if ur including op's ears. The top of their heads are same eight. They match up nicely 👌
This is incredible! I love the size but it sucks because it makes it out of scale with a lot of figures, especially bumblebee, bumblebee was already slightly too small in robot mode in comparison and this version makes him seem tiny! I also don’t like that prime is now taller than Megatron.
@@PrimeVsPrime tbh I’m a fan for a better looking robot mode vs the alt mode, mostly because I display them in their robot form, but yea Hasbro can and should do better. The multi-billion dollar company is dragging its feet with the Star Wars the Vintage Collection, and with the transformer studio series figures they’re kinda doing the same, but there is always hope. One of the biggest hopes is that they complete the AOE Dinobots, that’s all I’m hoping for now.

I dont understand y they keep saying primes head is small when infact in the movies, his head is really small. So the figure is accurate.
