got a 180 a month ago turns out the last owner snapped the dipstick tube, decided to do it myself, ordered some long reach hose pliers, while i had the covers off iv noticed an inch n half split in the tube that comes off the main top breather hose… it’s the wobbly one with the smooth section to avoid the bit on the head, it goes down and in the bottom. now ordering a full hose kit. it’s needs suspension bits all round, iv got a new tyre aswel. but i fuckin love it 😂 good job i dont have kids!
Cloude 9 oil catch can removes bad design PCV.My car now idles perfect.Holds boost.Feels tons better and fuel economy has massively improved.Glad i finally got my TT running right.
Heeeey i just saw your video. I have the 180 Golf 4. Had mine for 10 years and been fixing things eversince. I replaced part of he pipes but not all. Nice cars😀

Good video. I probably have the same problem. My tick over is lumpy. But I don't get ant engine code. Maybe when the weather is better here. Thanks for video.
I believe ecs and urotuning have them:) Here is one I found on urotuning for the tt225: www.urotuning.com/products/vacuum-pipes-under-intake-manifold-mk4-1-8t-aww-awp-06a145691cb?currency=USD&variant=8392245641271&Google%20Shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgP6PBhDmARIsAPWMq6l62MCaI3JKoRplV4-LRhz8BobK0snBa-JgC2JBl7G32--bsxDE0YcaAuHrEALw_wcB Let me know if this helps. Make sure to get one that matches your engine code etc: amu/awp
My rpm goes on startup up and down. So i know i have a leak somewhere. But it can be a real pain to find it. If your are in a hurry you can pull the cabel of the MAF sensor. It goes to a base map, idle will be better and you still can boost al you want. But it wil run richer.
@@allardsonnema5165 That is a really great tip! If the car runs better after unplugging the maf you can also tell that it needs cleaning/replacing. Thanks for the support!
That is a great idea. I have been looking for another pcv set like the one I used but I dont believe ECS has the same exact ones in stock anymore. I will link the aftermarket equivalent. :) Thanks for the support
Keep cranking out these great videos. The TT community is really small and we need all the help we can get when doing maintenance on our cars.
I am glad you are enjoying them! I really appreciate the support:)

I have a vacuum leak and keep getting a P0171 code: System too Lean Bank 1.

I really appreciate the support! :) Glad to hear you enjoyed the video.
You should have done a pcv delete. My 225 tt got a pcv delete. Right now I'm finishing up with building my engine with forged internals
Yeah I have been looking into a pcv delete as well as a catch can! Always something I can do in the future haha. That sounds super cool!
Can you use the 225 on the 180?i just bought a 180 quattro and the there's a slight needle dip at idle
i just ripped it out and fitted a catch can from cloude 9 i have done a vid on it
That's awesome! I've got a catch can on the way as well. Thanks for the support!
@@HunterDirection no problem 👍🏻

Maybe a good idea to do on my TT 😁
I'm really glad I did it. I had no idea the leak was that bad until I took it off haha. Thanks for the support!
