I grew up in the northern US, where it snowed every winter (and sometimes well into spring). When I was 17, my family and I moved to the southern US where it does not snow. I’ve lived down here for my entire adult life now. Snowy nights make me very nostalgic. So glad I stumbled upon this video. It reminds me of trying to fall asleep in my childhood bedroom. Thank you.

I have lived in Alabama all of my life. I love fall and winter. When I was a little girl I cried because we go for years without snow. I thought it was very unfair that God would let it snow up North but not in the South. I love this. To me snow is magical.

me too......I hate summer and it's not just the heat and humidity. Everything bad that ever happened to me happened in June, July or august. I start getting really creeped out the first of June. I am TOTALLY an Autumn person and it's so nice here in Massachusetts in September and October.....even November with it's skeletal trees against the purple night sky.
I loved watching the snow fall from my bedroom window as a kid.. the Christmas lights shining from the houses across the street warmed my heart. I could hear Christmas movies playing on the tv in the living room till late… those nights were the best to sleep …. And damn .. now I miss my parents 😂

I don't miss much about living in the city but videos like this make me miss the calm winter nights. I would go walk late at night in areas with no one around and just enjoy the serenity. Reminds me of my childhood growing up in Old City, Philadelphia. Evenings like these, my friends and I would go out and make snowmen or build forts in the park at Independence Hall (we lived only a block away) and then I'd walk back home to a roaring fire and fresh hot chocolate. I miss those days.

One of my favorite moments was the one where I was standing outside behind the old schoolhouse in Colorado during a light snowfall. The kids all left so I was alone. The atmosphere was foggy and white with the falling snow. I was looking up and watching the flakes gently floating down between the trees and around me. It was so peaceful and quiet. It seems like a dream. Nature is amazing and I feel privileged to have been able to see such an amazing thing.

I grew with lots of snow every winter, but as the years have gone on our area no longer gets snow. For several years now all we've had in winter is a light dusting of frost or very little snow that melts when it touches the ground. I hope the planet can be repaired and the policies that allow this to happen change before snow and ice become north and south pole exclusives

Filled with gifts, fireplace going, Christmas song/singing, making cookies, oh sooo many memories, can't wait for christmas this year. I grew with lots of snow every winter, but as the years have gone on our area no longer gets snow. For several years now all we've had in winter is a light dusting of frost or very little snow that melts when it touches the ground. I hope the planet can be repaired and the policies that allow this to happen change before snow and ice become north and south pole exclusives
