There’s an eerie silence when you’re out in the woods during a snow. It’s like the weight of all the snow on the trees and in the air soaks up the sound and you get this dead quiet. Hard to describe.
I call it peacefulness. When tired that your brain no longer can think, nothing like the sounds of peace not demanding from us. We think, visualize , and kill all negativity. It is what life is lacking these days " calmness ".
Its a beautiful silence. its so quiet and peacefull, especially at night. I love it. And I miss it dearly, because we don't get cold and snow anymore. Grandfather Frost and Skadi holed up at northern europe and russia- they just wont come visit. A light snowfall, gone again in a few minutes is a reason to stopp whatever you do and look and enjoy as long as you can.
I remember once it was 2am or sometime around then, and it was snowing, and I couldn't sleep, so I decided to open my blinds. Not my entire window, just my blinds. It was so cool! As I lied in bed, the snow outside was a bright, almost blue hue from the moonlight, so it was kind of bright outside while the inside of my room was pitch black! I remember walking back to my bed and seeing the rays of moonlight reflecting on my floor, and it was such a surreal experience!
That sounds beautiful. I also love when the moonlight peaks through the curtains / blinds. More than anything with the snow though, I tend to like the heavy silence.
Excuse me, I mean no disrespect but the grammatically correct way to say lied in bed is lay. I.e., your sentence being "As I lied in bed", the correct way to phrase this sentence would be "As I lay in bed". Apart from that, you speak very eloquently. Good day

Brigitte Jost Australia can't seem to catch a break - bush fires seem so common there these days. I've had relatives in Australia for at least 130 years ( descendants of a great great uncle who emigrated to there from England ), and I don't ever recall this phenomenon being center stage in the past down under. I even have an old black and white photo of a snow covered park in Lithgow, NSW taken in July in the 1940s!

It’s disgustingly warm right now, in the middle of night. Too put it simple, I’m suffering, lol. I remember when I was in 6 grade, it was the dawn of winter break and school was just about to end. That classroom was always the most chaotic and loud, a unbearable place honestly. It began to snow lightly, then picked the pace. Large pieces of snow fell down *really* elegant in front of the classroom windows. It was *so* peaceful. One of the most peaceful moments in my life happened at SCHOOL. Everyone was silent, gazing out the window. I’m in 8th grade now. I constantly wish I could relive that moment, over and over.
Every time it starts snowing in school, someone will point it out and everyone, sometimes even teachers included, would just pause and watch the snow. It’s starting to get colder outside, and I’m super excited for snow after Halloween is over :D
I had an experience like that, I was at school on a Friday and it started to snow in 6th period. I was in 6th grade too. I was in band and there was a big window behind the band teacher and I could barley focus on playing as I love the snow. Then when we finally got to leave it was hard getting back some as it started to snow more, and school was closed for like 5 or 6 days. It was some of the best times ever and since I live in the woods, it looks a lot like this video. I’m also in 8th grade now, and doing a science project while writing this lol
I always said I never wanted to live in the forest and I never wanted to live in the mountains, but here I am, at 74, in the middle of the forest and in the mountains! I've been here 16 years and it's finally beginning to grow on me! A Walmart 100 miles away on one side and 85 miles away on the other side in another state! Its beautiful, but very, very limited in many ways!
Donna McQueen I would rather be limited cause i used to live on a peaceful piece of land. 26 acres. I loved it. Now i live beside a couple of lousy and noisy neighbors. Its ridiculous. I barely sleep and get no peace. I will take limited anytime. Lol. Your space seems lovely to me
Now this is stunning because it is real live snowfall & sound! Even the trees to the left back ground move, now that's REAL!! Thank you so much for this magnificence.
Hearing the wind blowing through the trees, the trees gently swaying gives me such a great sense of peace and joy. The snow is gorgeous, it makes the scenery so bright.

If you're ever been in a snow covered forest after an ice storm, it is peacefully almost silent with ice covered branches its sounds like wind chimes. The snow catches and dampens sound. Yes it is awesome.
I have been talking with my gf about how this feels, sounds. Oh the peace. When it would snow as a kid in Virginia how the world would stop. I decided to get back to this world, a world of seasons, true seasons. It's how life should be.
I am just imagining the road to our grandparents house up north. It's a very very long drive and I just gaze out of the car window to enjoy the lovely pine trees and snowy endless roads outside. I get off my phone and enjoy peaceful life for once. I think this is the most beautiful sound in the entire world! (Other than my babies laughing or a ice cold can of diet coke being opened). But seriously, this sound is pure peace and nature at it's calmest. Even though it's windy, snow falling is a reset button for the mind and for nature.
My son and I love snow so much. I love everything about it. When it fall on my face it makes everything look so bright and clean. On our bucket list to make an igloo

The falling of snow is very different than rain. Instead of the plip plop sound, you get this flakey crunch as each snowflake meets the ground. Your video does a great job of capturing that essence.
In fact, the snow falls completely soundlessly and creates an extraordinary, frightening silence. The snow seems to absorb all sounds. If the snow is wet, then you can really hear its "landing", hehe. Sometimes the snow is prickly, like grits, and its fall can also be heard. The other day I was walking home from work at night and it heavily snowed. I just walked and caught the big snowflakes with my hand. Felt like a kid again but I was happy. I'm all grown up now and still find snow so magical.
I'm in the dead heat of summer right now. I miss snowy days where I can just sit on my couch, not worry about going to work and watch the snow. Maybe go on a walk down to the convenience store for snacks and listen to the snow. Those are my favorite days in this world. I miss them sooooo much. 4-5 month wait at the very least.
The audio on this one is a bit on the quiet side.....but the visual is beautiful Very reminiscent of growing up in the country and playing outside on days like this. Everything was surreal....and perfect
I like the sights and sounds in the woods the day after, when the sun comes out and warms just enough to make the snow fall from the trees in clumps and a rainbow of unexpected color softly splashes as the trees undress.
I never thought snow made a noise until I was in a thunder-snow storm in Rockville MD in the mid 80's. (stone cold sober, leaving the plant at 7 in the evening) Between the thunder-claps, the flickering lightning acted like a strobe light on the falling snow. Every clump of snow that fell was the size of a golf-ball and went "shish" as it hit the ground. I would not have believed it if I had not heard it myself, but when you have heard snow fall, you wonder what the next thing will be!
How can you not adore winter? Everything is so quiet and calm and just pure and beautiful. Everything is covered is snow and it’s just so peaceful
Feel the cold air in your face
I do believe that snow is peaceful but dont forget snow has a storm too or blizzard.
Must not live in Alaska huh lol

Very nice..arabian man
I'm in the dead heat of summer right now. I miss snowy days where I can just sit on my couch, not worry about going to work and watch the snow. Maybe go on a walk down to the convenience store for snacks and listen to the snow. Those are my favorite days in this world. I miss them sooooo much. 4-5 month wait at the very least.
The audio on this one is a bit on the quiet side.....but the visual is beautiful
Very reminiscent of growing up in the country and playing outside on days like this. Everything was surreal....and perfect
Such beautiful scenes.
This is so lovely n calming.Tyvm for sharing it.💟⚘I think I just shivered! I love winter.
I can't wait for it to start snowing again
This is so relaxing and so brilliantly done. Thank you! 🐈⬛🐾🐾🐾
Absolutely - I love snow ambience - it is so peaceful and relaxing - could watch it for hours and listen to the soundscape -great video
I like the sights and sounds in the woods the day after, when the sun comes out and warms just enough to make the snow fall from the trees in clumps and a rainbow of unexpected color softly splashes as the trees undress.
I wish everyone awesome day and don't forget that your Dreams WILL COME true! :-) Stay positive!
I thank you, Sir/Ma'am! Wish you all the good in the world!
Very beautiful when the snow is on the trees.
Superb viewing .... Love the snowfall ..... the Lacey branches laden with snow... 👀🌹👀🌹👀🌹👀
Aww thanks. Never seen snow in my life but this is gorgeous for studying, Thanks
Stunning 😍 our planet is truly a perfection 🍀 just looking this video brings me peace
I've never seen snow before in real life. I wish I'll be able to see and feel them one day.
This footage is astoundingly beautiful. Accompanied by one of my favorite sounds.
Am I the only one watching this video to watch the snow, rather than hearing it?
