Great viideo! but i dont know if I'm doing something wrong, when I bake the data I dont get as may particles as you? I only get a few particles in my domain, is there something I'm doing wrong?
So in the border collisions section, if you don't select "bottom" what happens? I'm assuming the fluid doesn't go straight through, but what does it actually do. Not create any particles? If so if you selected no collision borders would you get no particles created?
The video is kind of informative, but I don't understand the thumbnail... Why do you used a thumbnail that doesn't represent the content od the video? Not even an animation to demonstrate the feature you are talking about... I'm just saying that as a positive feedback. Don't be as those clickbait youtube creators, just show your real content! ;)
Thanks for the feedback Giovanni! Appreciate it. I am actually going to show that in part 2 of this series. So the thumbnail I was using the same for both videos. Stay tuned for part 2
By the way guys! If you are having issues, Try these fixes: Firstly apply the location, rotation and scale of all your objects, then try these options: firstly going to wireframe mode and see if you could see them then. Next one of the things I noticed that helps is if you go in the cache of the domain change the end frame from 50 to 200. Next thing change the cache folder so that it goes into a different folder again under the domain settings. Another thing that works is changing the inflow object from inflow to Geometry however this will change the look of your simulation.
I did everything exactly as you showed in the video, but after baking nothing happens, i tried looking at wireframe mode too, theres no particles no nothing :( What am I doing wrong?
Hey Enygma! Yeah I think it still has some glitches from time to time as that has happened to me a couple times. One thing I found that worked is start a brand new blender file and set it up as you would but under the cache directory under the fluid settings change the folder of where it goes and create a new folder on your desktop or something and make the cache go there. Let me know if that helps
hi just a quick question how do I reduce the volume of liquid emitted by an object? right now my simulation is overflowing with an icosphere as the inflow source.
This is stupid, I've been trying to just get the simulation to work. A lot of time it bugges out and nothing happens, sometimes it starts, then I change something minor and bugges out again. I managed to get it to bake twice out of like a 50 tries and me changing the bake folder and redoing the scene. This feature is nowhere near to be released, not sure why it was released with the main software really weird.
Hi, the FLIP Fluids addon and Mantaflow are separate projects managed by different development teams. We have more notes on this in our blog post under the 'Blender 2.82 release and Mantaflow!' section here: flipfluids.com/weekly-development-notes-8-using-savestates-in-your-workflow-and-blender-2-82-mantaflow-release/

@@blendermania3d thank you. Got first time reply for my doubt in youtube.... lol. i am just a beginner in blender, i come across lots of problem, i need help, so is there any way i can get help any time when you are free.
Hey Josif! Yes I think it still has some bugs because even for me sometimes nothing appears and then sometimes it does. However two things or three things I find that could help is the following. Number one increase the cache end frame from 50 to 200 in the domain settings. Number two is try changing the cache folder of where the cache goes. Then number 3 and this will make your simulation slightly different but change the inflow object flow behavior from inflow to geometry. I find the third one works usually Alfred changes the way your fluid works as now it just uses the geometry for fluid and doesn't continually inflow. If you want the inflow though try the first two options and try redoing your scene first with those options

Great viideo! but i dont know if I'm doing something wrong, when I bake the data I dont get as may particles as you? I only get a few particles in my domain, is there something I'm doing wrong?
Scale up your inflow object. The amount is dependant on the scale of inflow object
So in the border collisions section, if you don't select "bottom" what happens? I'm assuming the fluid doesn't go straight through, but what does it actually do. Not create any particles? If so if you selected no collision borders would you get no particles created?

Great quick tutorial. After baking anything, do you add the material to the sphere or the domain cube?
Scott Deas you set the material to the domain cube after baking the mesh.
Can I use Mantaflow with my GPU?
How do you enable motionblur to Mantaflow fluids, it looks so bad without it.
I literally just released and you video on Manta flow settings 3 minutes ago. In another one or in the next one I will go over motion blur
