dude for so long I did not listen to Dance Gavin Dance because of the same reason. Their name just seems like a generic teeny screamo emo pop band, but damn their instrumentals are crazy good and I got hooked
@@UnfilteredReactions Well if you take suggestions, Chucky vs Giant Tortoise was the one that got me into them. The guitar parts/drums were just so dope. Strawberries Wake is also one I really enjoy.
Big DGD fan here! They have a very devoted fanbase bc they have managed a balance between staying true to their core sound while getting pretty experimental. DGD has had 3 different lead singers(Tilian is on this track. Kurt and Johnny were the previous singers), and several other lineup changes. They have a huge discography- an EP, 9 studio albums, and a couple live albums too! If you want a heavier song from them check out- Say Hi, Philosopher King, The Rattler, Shark Dad, or Carve. Hope you check out more DGD, watching DGD reaction videos has become a pandemic hobby of mine lol.
Man of the Year will give you exactly what you’re looking for. Intertwining vocalists, heavy drop, great buildup, seriously. I look forward to seeing if you react to it!
So yeah, this band is pretty big. Care is something of a introductory track for those not too familiar with harsh vocals. Suggest something like Carve or Say Hi if you want to hear the extent of the harsh vocalist’s skills.
Glad ya liked this one man! If you're looking for more heaviness from them I'd say their song "Philosopher King" is a good example. They've got a pretty big discography with a lot of different sounds and styles mixed in. By how you reacted to this song, I think it'd be worth your time to check out more of their stuff.
im glad you enjoyed what's known as one of their softer songs, because pretty much everything from here on out you'll like a lot more, just based on your reaction
Yooo first time seeing your channel, glad you loved the song! I feel you on liking the heavier stuff and this was one of their chiller slower songs. Still a banger ofc. Some of their higher energy music is gonna be on the Mothership album. I'd recommend Petting Zoo Justice, or Philospher King. Another great one would be Inspire the Liars for both vocalists going ham at the end, one of my all time faves
Nice reaction. Big DGD fan and I thought the same when I heard the name of the band. But I'm sure glad I jumped on that wagon. I'm never getting off. Love how you mentioned Thursday. Love them too.
for heavier stuff, Shark Dad, Blood Wolf, Head Hunter (and a really funny video for Head Hunter, too) Petting Zoo Justice, Born to Fail, Son of Robot, just to name a few.
Just got yourself a sub sir. DGD is awesome. Thursday was awesome too. Saw them back in 03 with Coheed and Thrice. Killer show. Also noticed all the Cleveland swag. I'm in Canton, small world.
out of the loop for 20 years would make since, they've only been around since 2005 lol. I'd say they're relatively well known, Jonny Craig is a pretty big name for their old stuff. Another really good under the radar harsh/clean duality band is Sonic Syndicate
Just found you're channel my guy, I love when people get into one of my top bands. Great reaction +Subbed! You should check out Deception from them as well!
Dude I've been waiting for a DGD reaction! Dammit I've now subbed cause of it! Large discography here with literally no bad songs. They've had 3 different singers that all brought their own styles and the music is always amazing! Shark Dad should come next! Carl Barker features Kurt Travis and is a fan fav. It's Safe To Say You Dig The Backseat which features their 1st singer Jonny Craig cause it slaps!
ah yes finally a reaction of DGD where the person wants more Mess. Also a lot of their songs can be considered two diff songs. If you want solo breadman check out Secret Band GOAT is Jon Mess
OOOO FOOK YEAH, now DGD fan army is never gonna leave you alone until you listen to more shit. Gonna sub and await for another song. Anything from Mothership album is great..hell all of their music with Tilian is phenomenal
you definitely picked one of their softer songs lol. definitely check out some more of their other stuff. the screamer goes hard af in the song "shark dad"
well god damn haha, so funny man. should listen to blood sucker if you want something lil harder it's pretty good. if you like the singer he has his own band called secret band. rabbit hole is dope by him
not that this is a bad song but def not the right song for an introduction to the band.. like the other guy said if you want a true display of the singers ability and more screaming and just over all a better groove inspire the liars is def the next one to do plus the video is pretty interesting also they have plenty of songs where the harsh vocals just completely go off man of the year is a good choice. the rattler as well
I know I know I know, it has nothing to do with this music. But it's only me or .... I haven't seen Korn's Take a look in the mirror album yet. Ho hoooooooooo. Hahaha I'm telling you you're going to be harassed until I see it on your channel (or else there is already and I'm blind, it's possible). : D: p

Well god damn. lol
Alesana was the first band I remember listening to that did some of that cleans over harshes that mixed perfectly like these guys do.

Love how you mentioned Thursday. Love them too.
It's funny you mention Thursday, they were actually a big influence on the band starting out.
Jon and Tilian mesh together like peanut butter and chocolate.
for heavier stuff, Shark Dad, Blood Wolf, Head Hunter (and a really funny video for Head Hunter, too) Petting Zoo Justice, Born to Fail, Son of Robot, just to name a few.
Just got yourself a sub sir. DGD is awesome. Thursday was awesome too. Saw them back in 03 with Coheed and Thrice. Killer show. Also noticed all the Cleveland swag. I'm in Canton, small world.

Heaviest songs by them with most unclean vocals: Shark Dad, Say Hi, Philosopher King, Man of the Year, and Carve
Carve is amazing. If you couldn't tell by my name lol
Just found you're channel my guy, I love when people get into one of my top bands. Great reaction +Subbed! You should check out Deception from them as well!
funny you mention Thursday as it's their guitarists + head guy Will Swan's favorite band!
Lol really? How random lol
Dude I've been waiting for a DGD reaction! Dammit I've now subbed cause of it! Large discography here with literally no bad songs. They've had 3 different singers that all brought their own styles and the music is always amazing! Shark Dad should come next!

Inspire The Liars comes tomorrow 🤘
"Inspire The Liars" AND "Man Of The Year" Thank me later
My favorite band of all time. They are a thing and you're late bro. But better late than never.
Say Hi!!!!!!! react to it cause it is probably their best song!!!
If you wanna see their heavier stuff, check out philosopher king, and say hi

Dgd - robot vs heroin battle of Vietnam
Gojira please 🙏🙏
Honestly if you want heavy DGD I'd just recommend Secret Band. Same drummer, lead guitarist and unclean vocalist. No cleans though.
Honestly if you really want more of Jon, Secret Band is more so just him on vocals
I know I know I know, it has nothing to do with this music.
But it's only me or .... I haven't seen Korn's Take a look in the mirror album yet. Ho hoooooooooo. Hahaha
I'm telling you you're going to be harassed until I see it on your channel (or else there is already and I'm blind, it's possible). : D: p
One thing about them is that most of their songs do not have a structure,!!!!
Nah you gotta listen to man of the year or evaporate
............ wasn’t feeling it.
