- Pokemon has a long history and the amount of pokemon you can store has changed a lot over time. So lets take a look into that.
(Testing out some new stuff for videos still need some more work)

You forgot the box full of unowns that everyone has, to get all the letters
SV and SwSh don't have the entire dex, both have around 600-700 pokemon in them after dlc so a living dex for those games are feasible
Great video! Just a few things:
1:54: HeartGold and SoulSilver used the Gen 4 box setup, so it had a lot more slots than Gen 2 did.
8:28: It's not an issue since not all 1000+ Pokemon can be imported into Scarlet/Violet. Same for Sword/Shield.
The next Legends game likely isn't going to have every Pokemon, so I won't be surprised if it has the same amount of boxes as Legends Arceus.

So there are actually wild Pokémon in XD GoD. They’re at the Pokéspots and require “food” to spawn. Granted the selection is limited but if you really love Trapinch, I’m sure you could find a way to reach the max capacity
My strat was to get as many Hoppip as possible for the purification chamber since grass is weak to flying and Hoppip is both, they made for easy fodder.

Pokemon gen 2 and up also include box naming.
SwSh and SV do not have all the Pokemon in them in the first place. They only have about 600 each.
Ah yes, Pokémon Diamond, the best Gen 3 game of all.
I disagree, Pokémon black is my favorite generation 3 game
You can actually add more Pokemon to Colosseum and XD, but only with a small bug.
If you transfer a Nincada and evolve it with a free space on your party, it will give you Ninjask AND Shedinja. Then, you can trade it back to any GBA game for another Nincada and repeat. Granted, I don't think you need more Pokemon, as the games give you a nice variety for what it is, but it's nice to know you can expand your options (maybe with rare Pokemon like starters or other legendaries)

Actually in Pokémon XD you still have the ability to catch wild Pokémon but 240 is still low
I forgot that was even in the game! Though I think there are only a few per area.

The japanesse games have lower capacity because they need the space for all the hirahana letters
And now you can only store Spinda in the games they appear as Pokemon Home won't let you put it in there. 🤣
There was a part were I was going to talk about spinda but dropped it.

I would add the total number of Pokemon until each generation on screen to be easier do follow-up. Also, mentioning FRLG and HGSS alongside gen1/2 got a little confusing, IMO.
