Sharing techniques to customize current action figures by painting or sculpting what is needed. Producing a figure the is either improved or just creating one from parts of other figures.
using a base body from the "66" line. Heat and remove the head and neck. Repaint the neck to match the custom portrait..retro fit the head using apoxie sculpt of method of choice.
Remove the glued cape. replace with a custom cape, logo option on the back.. I used a non-fray material , this cape dose not have a wire.
You need the tabs to go over the shoulder so you get the proper look. Glue down with glue of choice...

💜💜💜 he looks GREAT !!! 💜💜💜
Thanks for watching
That head swap is kind of terrifying.
Its an old sculpt… its not permanent…these are just ideas
I love superman its my fav superhero i think you nailed it its better than mcfarlane one
Thanks for watching
glad to share -- its just my take on this action figure
I wish McFarlane had went the super powers route with these!
That would’ve been so much better
The cape on by default could work for a Mayo Kaan Superman. the default headsculpt I can slightly see some George Reeves, Ben Affleck(fitting given he played George) and a tiny bit of Kirk Alyn.
Maybe George Reeves …. I’ll keep it for a while….
Thanks for watching
from blooper man to superman...how it should be
Thanks for watching
It looks great!
Ant suggestions where to get red and black Superman logo for the first Superman appearance? I want to make the logo on that like the 1940s fleisher cartoon.
Already made one… got a 3D resin sculpt off eBay

@@InkDropCustoms thanks so much!
This cape looks great. I'm working on one for the 66 Batman. Mcfarlane's caps just look bad.
Already worked on those for the same reason
I love your videos! Just curious though, how do you prevent paint flaking in tight spots that rub together like between the bicep and shoulders and underwear and thighs on McFarlane figs.
Thanks for watching
Tight areas require sanding or even grinding out enough material… each figure is different and some require more extensive work…
@@InkDropCustoms I get the paint rubbing off no matter how much prep I do, starting to think paint sealers in Australia are weak aswell.
Its not the paint sealer- its the surface and construction design of the figure. Tight areas are difficult… i try to use dye when possible but. I don’t always have that option…other times its not worth the time
the original looks like Kevin Durand
I don’t know who that is…
Thanks for watching
@@InkDropCustoms nice custom, Kevin Durand is a Canadian actor often playing bad guys
Better hip joints would do so much for this line
It is a retro figure…better hip joint would disqualify it from being retro..
@@InkDropCustoms if that's the case, the shoulder should also be as limited
This cape disqualifies it as retro
Looks a bit like Kirk Alyn.
Mmmm i dont know who that is….. thanks for watching
@@InkDropCustoms the first actor to portray Superman.
What material did you use to make the cape? You mentioned no fray, that’s what I’ve been trying to find to make my own custom capes.
Its cosplay fabric YH -4way Matte Solid red #14748768
