It seems like it is going to be the most special or most different of all of them. How did you react when you were offered this story?
A: I liked it a lot because personally as an actor I enjoy things that are profound and the emotions and such, which in this new season I have them too but they are different because in this new season It's a much different Ander to other seasons. He's more outgoing, more extroverted, enjoying life more... and it is true that in season three the way that the topic of my illness was closed wasn't to my liking. It wasn't given a good ending which is normal because it's a series with many people and it's not possible to end all the stories as we as actors would like. So I think that these Elite "Short Stories" are good for doing just that, ending a cycle... and yeah
INT: And to give the plot a more emotional touch
A: Yes exactly
1:26 Now Manu, Your character Patrick begins things off very strongly in the fourth season. I don't know if those pool scenes were the first ones you filmed but I wanted to ask you how was it to be introduced into that Elite style and how was it to film it in times like these where I'd imagine filming is not as per usual.
M: Did you mean the...?
A: The changerooms, right?
INT: I meant the showers
M: The Showers
A; Oh ok
M: Yes, yes Patrick enters in very strongly. I was very nervous in the beginning before entering and filming but we had rehearsals and got to know each other beforehand, I got to know my character and a bit of his background, and then everything went well it was all relaxed and in the end we had a great time filming, I've learned a lot too. And yes it was complicated with the whole Covid situation, all the protocols which in a production like this must be followed strictly. You have to be very insistent and have patience. But we have handle it the best we can and in the end the results were all positive so it was all good. I mean not positive for us. ***
INT: Before with your cast members....sorry what was that?
M: Nothing, nothing it was nothing.
*** (They're laughing coz he doesn't mean for it to sound like he means they tested positive for Covid, he just means that the outcome was positive) ***
2:52 Oh Ok, I was just going to ask you because your fellow cast members mentioned that you all went to a cottage to prepare a little before filming, How was that? and how did it help in maybe making up for the the lack of free time you would all have during filming due to all of this?
M: For me personally it helped a lot because I appreciated being able to get to know my team mates and not just during filming because in the end that way is much colder, I mean you do still make friends but spending time like we did in that house and having that tranquility of having our time to talk and get to know each other and rehearse a lot was really good for us all I think just as much for the old characters as much as it obviously was for the new ones. It was a great experience.
A: We were very fortunate because its not something that's common in other projects to have a process like that before hand with the creating of a character and getting to know each other and so on. Normally you just get right into it or have maybe a gathering or two or maybe some rehearsals but you have to go straight into it. So you do appreciate it a lot.
M: Yeah, yep
4:09 Now Aron, Going back to the fourth season you said that Ander is like a completely different character after having gone through everything. I also liked seeing how finally Omar is also in "Las Encinas" and for the first time in the series they are both in the same situation. I wanted to ask how you see that dynamic between Omar and Ander who although still are from different socioeconomic classes and such, are now somewhat at the same point. Which I'm sure may contribute to conflict, right? What I mean is that before it was one pursuing the other because of their different circumstances but now they are at the same point which even then isn't as ideal as it would be for any other couple so to speak.
A: Yeah, well I think it goes back to the idea of distance, like we talked about before right? In that being together a lot isn't good nor is being apart either.
M: It's hard to find a middle ground, right? You need a lot of communication.
A: Yeah exactly
5:18 Elite has never really been about normal relationships but how do you feel about the inclusion of open relationships, polyamory, or just simply adding in a third person for sex. How do you see it both in the series and personally now that it's not as weird to talk about it anymore.
A: I think its perfect to normalize it because I mean it's not exactly shown (in the show) as being something ideal. It's good to normalize it but the reality is that it is something difficult, its great in theory but in practice it's a lot more difficult because you need maturity I think and communication. Jealousy is there. It's there between two people so imagine what is like with three or more. But yeah it's good to normalize it and if there are three people that are willing to and can allow for that because they are already so advance (in their way of thinking) then it's perfect. It's good for it to become normal. Like If you wanna be with five people then who cares?
6:34 Something that often happens in series that are set in schools is that music is included in some form or another. I wanted to ask you if you see yourselves doing a musical episode to somewhat break away from the reality as such? Or is it not in the plans and you would rather not?
M: I was joking about this the other day with Carla I think coz she said "fuck, everyone here sings. One day they'll give us an episode where we will all bust out singing in the classroom"
A: There's no fucking way I'm doing it, Oh but you have done musicals
M: Yeah but... I don't see it happening. Perhaps maybe if you or I release a song and they wanna add it into the series playing in the background then that's fine
A: That's fine. I have to say that I've really loved the soundtrack for this series. It's really good.
M: Yeah it's really good
A: I think it adds a lot more emotion to each moment
M: Music in the end forms a huge part of a series
INT: Ok but putting the music....
A: We are not gonna be doing High School Musical

I watched several time season 4 to understand somehow that both of them were not on the same page after cancer. I think they needed time apart to realize how much they love each other and also how much they needed to communicate. Break up results from a misunderstanding.
First, Ander was angry after Omar because he cheated and didn’t tell him twice (and that was not only sex -twice) . I think it is the main reason why he slept with patrick right away after the break up. (he f*cked him as a revenge to Omar who did it the first ). That’s also the reason why he flirted right in front of Omar. Also , if you have been watching the shorts stories with Alexis, it is relatable. Alexis tells Ander not to be sad when he dies, to live fully his life and then he has left a ring.
While packing to travel in the last episode you can see that Ander is looking at the ring and then to the sky as if he was thinking about alexis and his words.
Finally, the conversation with Patrick shows all Ander's love and jealousy toward Omar even though he doesn’t want to recognize it.
Ander feels miserable when he face is mother to say is leaving.
On Omar's side, he is guilty also because he was not sure of his feelings anymore (whereas Ander has always been).
I think they both made mistakes but eventually have forgiven each other because they know they can’t live without each other. Ander says to guzman in the last episode that they had to make some concessions to be together but don’t want to loose each other for not doing so .
We all expect them to act like in the 1st season while they are together for 4 years or so... it can’t be anymore.
They grew up together, it’s not that idyllic anymore but they keep going. life went rough for them on so many aspects and i think that has been shown perfectly.
they lost lust for each other in the beginning of season 4 but after the break up and when Ander decides to go back with omar their kiss is marvelous. Tenderness, love, passion all at the same time is in it.They found back their way together despite everything. They’ve been through so many things and probably not the sexyest (i mean illness is not sexy at all) and succeed to keep the passion on between them. This love story is realist and beautiful as well.

It was definitely not just sex between them. Ander was enamoured of Patrick, who felt the same and flirted with him. Ander and Omar had been through thick and thin, they had compassion and cared for one another but Ander at least was no longer in love. Yet, self-restrained as he was, he would not ditch Omar for the sake of just having sex with a good-looking guy. He did so which meant he harboured feelings for Patrick. However his righteousness struck him a great deal when he saw Omar’s hurt and desolation and his friends’ reproach. Omar had been by his side during his cancer battle and was still in love. Ander got angry with himself and Patrick because the latter was assertive and they both caused enormous grief to Omar. He finally dumped Patrick and reconciled with Omar. But he was no longer enamoured of Omar, and, fearful of not resisting Patrick or hurting Omar again, he chose to flee the school and country. After all, Ander remains the most ethical character of all.
If Omar was all along out of the picture, Patrick and Ander would turn out to deeply love one another and be Elite’s most favourite couple. They indeed had an astounding sexual chemistry, they had great sex, Patrick even masturbated him inside the class. They both had family issues, both underwent major health challenges, both were sensible and understanding. Even Benjamín would approve of Ander as his son’s boyfriend. Given that time has passed and Omar has moved on, I do hope they’ve hooked up somewhere in Europe and return to Las Encinas as a couple in the eighth season. Iván wasn’t worth of Patrick; he had a shitty behaviour and did not even answer Patrick’s tearful message.

@@riorio745 no the character Ander and Guzman got written out by the writers...the story of these characters was just ending in season 4....it was not the actors decision.... omar was also not in season 6 but he got asked to come back for season 7....aron piper said in an interview he got not asked to come back but he would love it. So its the writers/production. And in all this 7 season they never listened to the fans, other tv shows listen to fans and write the storyline with some ideas of the fans, thats why these tv show stay long and have many seasons....but elite will end with season 8 because they dont have that much watchers anymore. Most people dont liked the cast after season 5. Sad.

as for the part where I said he prefere to keep it private he didn’t necessarily refer to this but he has mentioned several times throughout the time that I know him that (not in these exact words) he enjoys keeping certain parts of his life private
