She actually was the group's vocal coach before being added to the group. EXID as a group had a pretty rough start. They debuted with 6 members, not long after, 3 of them left the group. As a result Solji and Hyerin (the 2 voices in the chorus of the song) were added to the group. They didn't see much success until "Up & Down" when a fancam of Hani (the one with purple hair in this MV) went crazy viral, it was the most viewed Kpop fancam at one point. That help put the group on the map and they came back with strong comeback of "Ah Yeah" and have been a top girl group since. At the moment the group is kind of in a wierd limbo of they didn't disband but aren't active. All members left the company and the company itself seems to have closed its doors, but the members have said they didn't disband so their future is kind of in question. But anyways, please check more of them out if you want to hear some amazing raps and crazy vocals. I'd recommend " Up&Down", "Ah Yeah", "Lady", "I Love You"

After that they came out with great songs again and again. But their trouble is not over, when they finally were successful, Solji (the former vocal coach), who is the leader and main vocal got sick and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had to take a break for almost 2 years, from the end of 2016 to their full group comeback in November 2018. But once again EXID beat the odds by coming out with great songs with only 4 members in the meantime. :)

Think Gi-dle's Soyeon but from 3rd gen, or female version of G-Dragon (in the sense that she wrote songs for her group and other artists). LE wrote and produced most, if not all, of EXID's songs. Her flow is crazy good, and she is one of the few female rappers that I respect and actually enjoy listening to.
