Bro..I use to work at a corrugated plant and we had cardboard furniture made in this way. Sofas, chairs etc. They are super sturdy and can handle a lot of weight. The possibilities are endless using this easy template method. We were fortunate to have a huge cnc type machine that could cut out templates no problem. Nice to see somebody doing this. ❤

It looks pretty cool! I wonder if you could take some of the left over cuttings to make a sort of paper mache coating that could be sanded finished and and coated with polyurethane. I bet it would make it more durable and certainly easier to clean.

a great video, quite inspiring watching you resolve design decisions. but with respect, im speculating on some optimisations on your approach,
    1. ive seen people convert a £150 3d printer into a lazer cutter, could this be used to save you tones of cutting work
    2. instead of making it solid could you make two side profiles, then cut out inserts for cross bars that would act as slats to support weight
3 couldt you utilise the 1 dimensional flexibility of corrugated cardboard to make "cover" for the seat - one sheet that you sit on that is bent to the sweeping form of the chair
i feel like these adaptions could make your chair more light, stable, cheaper, stronger and would utilise the 3d bracing abilities of the cardboard medium?
i have a neighbour who has a huge excess of large sheets of card board from his job. we've been burning it mostly but back in the 90s i used to make cardboard structures and have never forgotten the amazing structural and creative potential of this medium
