Oh man this takes me back to playing my first racing SIM with mouse and keyboard because I didn't have a wheel, spending money on a game for the first time, hours spent challenging myself to race last to first, finding the best replays... What a game. Always in my heart.

i've been playing LFS since 2007 (2 years old!) and i still play to this day. literally i could never ever leave this game behind and i hope this game never dies

My friend practised driving on L4S before getting a license, her driving instructor asked "how are you handling a car this well, have you played driving sims?"

When I talk to people about sim racing or driving in Sims and they end up being so close-minded to totally dismiss because it's just a graphical representation of a car to them irritates and aggravates me to no end. And then they don't even want to try to get behind the wheel to see what they got. It's really unfortunate. A lot of things are in a sad state of affairs in America and how people drive is a major part. A lot of it is because the American population are a bunch of ignorant careless selfish assholes but their skills are also garbage as well.
Same, I first learned to drive thanks to lfs playing with the basic bots,
Later I created my own road with opstacles and stuff.
3 years later I got my licence in the first try.

I only have the demo and the physics are just incredible!!! The tire model is as well!!
It is, LFS still have some of the best tyre model physics out there!
@@living4speed680 if I'm not mistaken you can actually see the tire flex as well. iRacing is such fucking garbage in comparison. They'll keep the carrot out in front of all their customers about constant tire model update bullshit. Even ARCA sim racing handled better than iRacing.

This and pure gameplay videos are how videos should be done. Nowadays, videos are all about clickbait titles and captions, people trying to tell others what's the best, the worst, what's good, what's bad, and so on. Everyone thinks they're an expert and have to make videos about themselves rather than just purely the game.

I use Nvidia game recording software and some minor post production in Da Vinci Resolve or Sony Vegas!
@@living4speed680 ok thank you but in LFS to turn around cars etc... do you use the game's cameras or is there a tool that allows you to do cool things?
No particular tools used, just use the LFS free view.
Just press esc while in-game or in a replay ->> free view.
Here you can move the camera where you want with the arrow keys: lots of options available, you can move the camera freely around, have it static, or make it follow the cars.
You can basically do what you want with the camera.
