I’m scared to death even when it’s only 10-15 minutes of turbulence! Can’t imagine how stressful it was for the passengers to handle this for 14 damn hours 😮
Maybe it would not be so stressful if you knew why there’s turbulence. You should watch videoes on RUclips made by captains, explaining everything , when one know that things happening up in the air Are actually natural, then it is easier to relax. Turbulence is caused by wind
Fortunately this is only moderate turbulence. If the turbulence were severe, it would be difficult to even operate the touchscreens, and baggage compartment contents and galley food carts would be loudly banging.
I agree moderate turbulence. This his not unusual. Nothing to be frightened of. Normal turbulence while flying. Though I do understand if you hadn't flown much.
This isn't severe. Like the poster below mentioned, stuff in the overhead bins would be falling out, stuff banging and people screaming. This was moderate.
If it’s like this for the entire flight it must have been quite unpleasant , imagine having meals and going to restrooms .. I recently flew from Seattle to Singapore and baring a few bumps over Philippines the flight was quite smooth 😅
I like how everyone has cocky comments about this not being “severe”. I fly often and this is pretty intense. You can’t see turbulence. You feel it; experience it. So why not SHUT UP.
For a 14 hours flight and nonstop turbulence i don't know how others feel that way. Our food and beverages were not served on time because of the turbulence and the flight crews have to stopped serving. I appreciate your comments. Much love to you ❤️
I had some experience back in 2018 with a Japan Airlines 787 going to Narita, It was something like this then the Dreamliner made a turn to the right, then the left, before resuming its original path. We were still somewhere far off the Kamchatka Peninsula, if I can remember, and we weren’t descending yet. Then again, in 2023, we had something like this, just after sunrise approaching California, but I didn’t care, and went along with my breakfast despite the turbulence while watching Gran Turismo, the Premier League 22/23 review and the only available My Hero Academia episode.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Mine was a 14 hours flight and you could imagine the anxiety for a long flight with turbulence. Much love to you ❤️
I’m terrified of turbulence we had it all the way back from New York to Scotland it was horrible plus with me who suffers from motion sickness it made me ill also 😖😖
I fell asleep on a long haul once and forgot to fasten my seat belt. Woke up by my head hitting the top of the widow where it curves back into the overhead lockers. There's a reason you need to fasten your seat belt in turbulence 😐
More than 15 mins of that and I would be puking... your nerves might have been shot, but your body is solid. For some reason, I wouldn't have been able to cope. Not afraid of turbulence since i fly every 3 days, but I cant fight off the nausea... your vid has me shaking at the thought of several hours like that
@@aaronrich7109 I've read that a great way to minimize the effect of turbulence is to sit straight up in your seat, make sure your back is not touching the seat, and lift your feet off the floor. That way, the only point of contact between you and the plane is your ass. I've yet to try it but I will when I fly in 3 weeks if it gets bumpy.
Nope, this summer I arrived at FCO from DOH and later flew to ORY from NAP. Both were totally smooth and clear. Didn't even catch a bump over the Alps entering France. There was only very light chop on approach into FCO but that's normal at any coastal airport near mountains.
Wow, how can the pilot did not change the route knowing the weather condition. Also, I do not think that was for the entire flight, and this is not a severe turbulence!
@@juanrios4939 There are some conditions on transpac trips where 'going around' the weather is not possible due to fuel planning and available diversion airports.
