Scenic drive on highway A-2 northbound from Barcelona
The Autovía A-2 (also known as Autovia del Nordeste and Avenida de América, or Autovia del Nord-est in Catalan) is a major Spanish highway that connects Madrid to Barcelona.
The A-2 starts in Madrid and runs alongside the Corredor del Henares, passing through cities like Coslada, San Fernando de Henares, and Torrejón de Ardoz.
Beyond Zaragoza, the A-2 continues eastward. At the beautiful Galachos del Ebro, near Alfajarín, you have two options: the toll road AP-2 or the old N-II12.
So, whether you’re exploring historical sites or enjoying scenic landscapes, the A-2 offers an intriguing journey between these two vibrant Spanish cities.
