Millermatic 220 it’s a little machine but can weld mig, flux chord, stick, tig and even high frequency AC to do aluminum. Easy to use and will help you get better with more “seat time” under the welding hood.
not gunna lie your channel has inspired me too work on more import vehicles and has given me a ton of inspiration on my honda accord yes original vehicle but will be a one of a kind car when im done. Thank you again for the great content and inspiration!!
Hi Sam, I'm from the Netherlands and I am using an EWM welder, German brand. Very high quality and easy to use, eventhough it has so many options. If you want to learn / do more fab stuf, my advice would be to get an ac/dc machine. That gives you the option to also weld aluminium. This is a costly option though.
Best bang for the buck TIG welder is Primeweld. Great costumer service. This is a mid range TIG welder for $825 Miller Diversion and Lincoln Square wave around $2k Everlast, Founey, ESAB, CK Worldwide around the $2k range. You have to realize you need consumables too. Argon tank $200-300 Miscellaneous tig torch parts Electricity for 110v and 240v. For a 60amp breaker as well. Maybe around $900-1500 for a electrician 😉
This one might be a little bit too budget oriented for what you're looking for, but I have Eastwood welders and they've been very reliable thus far. My mig machine I've had for ~4 years and the tig i've had for a little over a year. They've only needed standard consumables so far.
awesome!!!! congrats Sam!!! these are the videos I LOVE!!!! i've been fighting a short in my S13 W/SR and seeing you wrench, has been motivating me to find my issues too... I had an Alternator over volt (17+) and knock out a lot of shit. so I'm just going and ohming tons of shit out and replacing stuff.. so I feel you dude! keep it up! We will find both our issues and on the road soon!
I’m 13 and to me this is a dream to have your own project car, you can go to a garage and just build on it each day so much fun, looking forward to getting into cars as a hobby 😁
Get an ESAB Rebel for a welder. It does all phases of welding. Stick, mig, tig. You can even do aluminum if you have a spool gun for it. The kits are around 2k. Best deal with decent quality ive found.
That kind of weather is everyday here in RI. Fortunately this week humidity has only been 80% or so. Last week was 95 100% humidity and weather app said felt like 105 f. Try pulling frames and welding in major panels in that weather
I'm a certified tig welder. Everlast or Miller. Lincoln is good to but I won't touch it bc Miller fan boy. They offer loads of welders with many many settings to help over come lack of knowledge or know how.
Omg what a roller coaster of emotions from going home to the next clip trying something else and getting closer. Then going home but trying something else first 🤣
lincoln, miller, fronius, i been welding for the past 4 weeks with the a lincoln and it’s pretty good its a small inverter cost like 800$ and at home i have a cheep ebay hit box uptill now i have only use it 2 times so i can’t give you any good feedback yet
hey dude ZSpeed has a kit (called CMAK) that deletes the concentric slave cylinder and puts in a clutch fork and external slave. I've got the exact same transmission in my G37S Coupe here in the states and when my slave failed I put one in, been loving it ever since
Unimig welders, have heard good and to be clear i have not had a chance to play with one, I use a WIA weldmatic 200i for dc tig welding that i am learning on. It will come down to how thick the material you are going to be working with and material type steel or alloy to how much its going to set you back
Welder here, you’re gonna wanna look for a machine that has a 100% duty cycle at higher amperages, other wise in that heat you’ll be waiting for the machine to cool down. Miller makes some good little welders that can weld both tig as well as stick with quick disconnect leads, gas leads and has a 100% duty cycle. Can’t remember exactly what the model was however they were about the size of 24 pack of booze and weighed about 75 pounds. Highly recommended.
I have a lotta experience with the Miller Multimatic 220 (what I learned Tig and practice Mig on) Syncrowave 210 (what I own and Tig on). Both are great machines. I hear Everlast also makes some good, economical stuff though.
I bought a jegs brand tig welder and It works great especially for a beginner and the price good, plus it doesn't take up alot of space. It's also dual voltage.
Miller maxstar 161 is a great welder it’s a smaller more compact version of the welder I use and is about half the price would be a great welder for a middle road welder
Good tig Machines is kompis, esab, and lincoln the most important is to buy ac/dc with pulse and pedal you need both ac and dc if you want to weld aluminium as that need ac and steel dc . Wather cooled is good if you want to weld mutch.
If your only going to tig weld stainless or mild steel you only require a DC machine . If your planning to tig aluminium you’ll need a much more powerful machine and it requires high frequency . Water cooling is a must also . Otherwise it gets too hot
I Tig 95% at work and I own a primeweld welder, a lot of the best guys out there welding titanium , stainless and aluminum are running primeweld. this is not a sponsor lol best bang for your buck trust!!
I'd recommend the cheapest Tig miller you can find. Definitely worth your money and will last as long as you do! I know it's not the mid tier but you won't have your welder to blame for poor welds
Eastwood makes a decent mig for small stuff for like $300. They make bigger and better ones but I personally own the mig and it was well worth the money. I imagine they're tig is probably decent as well. If money isn't a factor I'd probably go with Lincoln but that's just personal preference.
DUUUUUDE. JUST FINISHED THE VIDEO. HOLY SHIT THAT WAS SO HYPE WHEN IT STARTED :DDDDDD. Been watching this car for a long time, so cool to see it come all this way. keep on doing what you are doing. Its inspiring me and plenty other people :)
The old water cooled tig and mig welders are amazing probably the best, i used a esab one but im a sheet metal fabricator in the uk, pay half decent money because the cheap one's will struggle wuth power and overheating,
Awesome to hear it start up again. On another note I'm just sitting here, in my room in germany thinking like, damn they have 34 c right now while im here with 13 c and think like what the hell is going on 13 c in august xd
The only fittings that ever require tape are tapered pipe fittings that seal via the threads. Clutch, brake and AN fittings all seal via the tapered male and female interfaces
@@magnetic0314 as he stated in the video, the tapered end wasn't sealing and he's having to overtighten the thread, using the thread to seal the connection, so a little PTFE tape would've just helped with the sealing process
Fronius is the only way to go wouldn't touch anything else and easy of use for beginners is unbelievable but a good close second would be Miller they are extremely good aswell
That Ad read made me think I was having a seizure 😂💀 keep up the great work sam
Same😂
Edited at 3am after one hell of a day. Surprised that was my only mistake 😂😂😂
@@SAMMIT Hahahaha all good my man!
Remember to change engine oil after all that fuel dumped in the cylinders...
@Sean Price would that be to corrosion of the rings from the fuel? always thought the fuel would just burn off
@@isaactezza In the amounts that they dumped it into the cylinders, some gasoline will get past the rings into the engine oil, which is bad.
@@kennytheamazing yeah I get that, but wouldn't the heat from the engine cause the fuel to turn into gas and get release through the catch can?
I’d be more worried about washing the bores and not running it in straight away
learned from rudnikk lol

The company Miller has very good welders highly recommended
+1 to this
Kemppi is dope af too. Bit expensive tho
i can confirm, i come from a family of fabricators, miller are the only ones my family uses
$$$$$ though.
Agreed
Agree! The turbo sounds awesome !
Congrats

Congrats, Sam! Sounds sick AF!
I am just as excited as you that she's running, good work yo!

It lives!!! The S15 beast has awakened..and what a sound! Another one in the WIN column. As for American welders, recommend Miller or ESAB.
awesome!!!! congrats Sam!!! these are the videos I LOVE!!!! i've been fighting a short in my S13 W/SR and seeing you wrench, has been motivating me to find my issues too... The other fellas at the garage deserve major credit for staying in work that late 👍🏻
I’m 13 and to me this is a dream to have your own project car, you can go to a garage and just build on it each day so much fun, looking forward to getting into cars as a hobby 😁
Miller has the best welders and they work with youtubers
This guy is living the dream, all of those s15s, 2024 couldn't come sooner
I've been waiting for this video like I'm gonna be the one driving this monster.
Get an ESAB Rebel for a welder. It does all phases of welding. Stick, mig, tig. You can even do aluminum if you have a spool gun for it. The kits are around 2k. Best deal with decent quality ive found.
Been waiting all day to see the s15 run, seem some clips on Instagram earlier 😁
Lincoln are a decent welder and Miller and Esab are just as good 👍👌🤙💯
Congrats on the first start man. Glad it finally gets to be heard.
I couldn’t watch this video without first watching the entire build videos. Now that i caught up NOW I’ll watch it. 💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥🔥
Taylor Ray has a nice Fronius tig welder. He really likes it and it is quite fab only comes on when it needs it.
all of the car youtubers im subbed to are getting their stuff running. puts me in a good mood

Miller has a verity of welding machines you can use, there are actually pretty simple to use once you get the basics.
I have a lotta experience with the Miller Multimatic 220 (what I learned Tig and practice Mig on) Syncrowave 210 (what I own and Tig on). Both are great machines. I hear Everlast also makes some good, economical stuff though.

Been to Okinawa, i remember walking out side and making it about 20 feet and you had already sweated though your shirt. Yay walking to work lol
Welder recommendation- Miller Multimatic 220 AC/DC
Miller maxstar 161 is a great welder it’s a smaller more compact version of the welder I use and is about half the price would be a great welder for a middle road welder
Miller for your welding needs!

Tig welding is so dope and so clean , its easy to do ,like driving a car
bro sammit is so cool, every time he posts it automatically makes my day
If your only going to tig weld stainless or mild steel you only require a DC machine . If your planning to tig aluminium you’ll need a much more powerful machine and it requires high frequency . Water cooling is a must also . Otherwise it gets too hot
My Miller has never let me down. The only other ones I’ve used are htp and some junk Amazon special.
Can´t wait to see this beast back in action !!
You kinda forgot to edit your dafski infomercial. 😂
congrats man
Sugoi Sam 😁 well done! Shout out to Uta 👊 Pure JDM Forever! Jamata ✌️ Hag1 🇦🇺🇯🇵
That turbo sounds beautiful
Miller multimatic 220 or the ESAB Rebel are both grate smart welders. I have the Miller and use it for work and building my car.
Congrats bro and yes I live in Florida and it’s very hot outside
Has a nice growl to it can't wait to hear that turbo under some boost super sweet build next the R33.4 build 🤔
I Tig 95% at work and I own a primeweld welder, a lot of the best guys out there welding titanium , stainless and aluminum are running primeweld. this is not a sponsor lol best bang for your buck trust!!
It sounds pretty damn good at low rpm’s can’t wait to hear it bang limiter haha🤙
Can't wait to hear that gate open 🔥
I stick to cigweld in au they never fail just make sure you get a good Tig torch with the foot pedal and look up tips on utube with the gas
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS START UP FOR SO LONG OMG
Letttttsssss gooooo the beast started up it really sounds sickkkk.
I'd recommend the cheapest Tig miller you can find. Definitely worth your money and will last as long as you do! I know it's not the mid tier but you won't have your welder to blame for poor welds
Big props to the Sam man! This is going to be the dopeist rendition of the S15 for sure!!
Yo Aussie summit, looks cool bro, shout out from NZ, can’t wait to get back to Japan, survive the summer …!
Wicked bro! Stoked for ya! Keep killing it!
Everlast or Hobart if u really want cheap the Harbor Freight Tig Welder isn’t bad tbh it actually surprises ppl.
Eastwood makes a decent mig for small stuff for like $300. They make bigger and better ones but I personally own the mig and it was well worth the money. I imagine they're tig is probably decent as well. If money isn't a factor I'd probably go with Lincoln but that's just personal preference.

Everlast Welder i only have good things to about them, had mine for 4 + years
Put some valve grinding paste on those tapers and spin it with a drill :) Its kind of a ghetto fix but not really as bad as just cranking it overtight
And when you do this make sure to not get any in the slave. It will ruin the gasgets.
Congrats dude!
Everlast PowerTIG 210 or 255 series
looks like one of your coils came loose (the one in front)...she threw out a little spark.....ohhhhh the turbo sound nice though
miller has very good welder use them everyday and i love it
Get a primeweld 225 just got mine it’s awesome and a very good welder for the price.
You’ll get that on these big jobs
Love to see the s15 back in action! cant wait to watch you rip in it!
THERE SHE IS !!
That sounded sweet that’s good keep up the good work Sam
Man I just refreshed and seen it lets goooooo
Oi, get a miller 218! It's a multi-purpose welder that can MIG STICK and TIG weld. And it's portal easy to use. It's a great mid-range welder
unimig its very good for the price, very common in aus. Have 6 of them in my workshed
All the hard work is paying off
Try Taylor rays set up for tig
Awesome to hear it start up again.
On another note I'm just sitting here, in my room in germany thinking like, damn they have 34 c right now while im here with 13 c and think like what the hell is going on 13 c in august xd
JIC and AN very similar make sure you got right adapter
Congratulations sammit
Cool build, man that looks very nice
bruh that engine bay is so beautiful Very tastefully built
Man am i lucky the repair shop at work at has ac🥶couldn't imagine working without it right now
On my mazworx z33/sr trans kit I’m using sr20 clutch fork and slave style because I don’t want internal slave issues like that.
Florida right now heat index for us Has been around 109 for a few days your problem is no shop fan lol
Everlast 255 ext welder. It's very good built. 1/3 the price of a miller brand . Does exotic metal!
Should've used some PTFE tape also known as plumbers tape on the slave cylinder connections, just helps seal any liquid connectors
Hell yeah brother
When 9:30 turns into 1 AM! Mr "im not in the right mindset" yet figures it out lol woohooo!
Sounds good man! Can’t wait to hear it on the limy!!!!
Fronius is the only way to go wouldn't touch anything else and easy of use for beginners is unbelievable but a good close second would be Miller they are extremely good aswell
Miller is a great American welder.
So early theres an editing error around 3:30 he repeats everything twice lmaoooo
Forgot to edit
Hahaha yep no negativity btw great video just found it funny he said the exact same thing twice hahaha
Congrats man! 👏 that cam cover looks fucking sickkkk (so does the rest😂)
Congrats Sam
