i wont spoilt it , but this show is a rolercoster of a ride and in the end you will be siting and thinking that life is meaningless ,because there is no anime better than this. ( atleast it has been so for me ) And no , they dont start killing off characters left right and centre just for shits and giggles .@@TinyWaveTV
@@TinyWaveTVif you love heartbreak you should watch gundam 'everybody dies' 0093 zeta followed by char counter attack 😁 Oh, and dont forget watch gundam 3-episode war in the pocket its different coz its more a love story with scifi part merely as background
Although I’m sad at the outcome, I’m proud to say that I saw Kircheis’ death coming all the way back when I first saw episode 4 (the one where Reinhard is promoted to Field Marshal in the big ceremony, and we get the flashback to Reinhard & Sieg’s childhood). It was obvious that Sieg has been hopelessly in love with Annerose from the first moment that he saw her, but try as I might, I simply couldn’t envision a plausible scenario where they would get together. I knew Tanaka was too serious a writer to just throw in a simple “we beat the bad guys and lived happily ever after” ending. And when it was clear that we wouldn’t be able to get a happily ever after, the only plausible outcome I could see was Kircheis eventually getting whacked. My only surprise was that it came so relatively early in the story (only about a quarter of the way through the total main series)…
Ah yes, the episode that broke all of our hearts. What's the universe without Kircheis in it? Not a universe worth living in, and there's just no happy ending for Reinhard like that. An excellent catch on Oberstein possibly manipulating Annerose there, I never caught on to it. I thought she just needed to grieve herself. Also, when it comes to Westerland, why is Reinhard doing what Oberstein says? Well, because Oberstein is right. Reinhard just didn't have the facts to counter him with, and he wasn't going to say "No, I'd rather have the war go on longer and the death toll be higher. A question I really like to pose is what's your read on Reinhard being too late with his answer. Did Oberstein really miscalculate the timing, or did he consciously lie and make him think he had more time, just to make sure his plan went through? If it's the former, it means he's not as good a thinker and that his judgement can be called into question, possibly he could even be wrong about Westerland entirely. If it's the latter, it's fcking brilliant on his part to maximize the potential for success, and shows that he does not trust Reinhard to make the right (in his mind) decision.
If you like Merkatz now you're going to love him even more once shit gets crazy. I consider Phazzen to be a lot like the TNG Season 1 Ferengi. Always up to shit to try and get an upper hand. Popplan is cool because he speaks his mind. you'll be seeing a lot of Kessler soon. and more crazy space battles.
Merkatz, yeah, love me a character that gets me thinking and his wisdom has been ON POINT so far 👌 Poplan's been on my radar since the beginning~ love his dynamic with Konev, the way they're bickering all the time 😆 Crazy space battles HERE WE GO
This is how I see Merkatz. In the beginning he is arrogant towards the young upstart Reinhard, but when he sees his talent, he begins to feel old, obsolete and worthless; it's a huge hit to his confidence. He seems like an introverted, quiet man, probe to maybe excessive introspection. Schneider's insistence helps him realize that he still has a role to play, he is not worthless after all. And his defection symbolizes for me, how old and young can work together towards the future and so end up on the "right" side of the conflict (aka Yang). The rest of the Empire mostly keeps the young VS the old dynamic.
Just wanted to say I randomly stumbled upon your LOGH videos and I love the format and your thoughts!! Glad you're enjoying it despite the many heartbreaks this show puts us through lol 🥲
Wait until you get to the ending if you cry now.
If you think Jessicas death is tragic , you are in for a surprise in this show.
Alright now I'm terrified 😰

I remember some admiral saying something like "good ones don't live long" but AAAAye it was early. So very early 😭
Also, Merkatz is clearly just Charles Bronson.

I never really doubted Oberstein manipulating the Westerland situation; the master manipulator did his thang 🧐

Have you noticed Merkatz looks like actor Charles Bronson?😁
Alright I had to look him up and OMG YES HE DOES 🤯
OH dammit you beat me to it. Well fine, Reinhard is Dianne Lane but a guy.
Reinhard is literally me.

I don’t really like Julian, at least I tried.
Same. Aside from just not liking how he is, he also has some thick plot armor
