Another reason to paint your hood or trunk lid vertically is less trash. My man SPRAYWAY mentioned this in one of his videos. When you spray in a homemade booth you always get a lot of trash in your work. Thanks for all your videos! I love your channel, glad you’re back. Keep em coming!
Thanks for what you do man thanks for your teaching, and taking the time to do videos in English, and and in Spanish appreciate your hard work, and the time you take to do what you do
There's more than one way to skin a cat as they say an theres nothing wrong with your method for painting the bonnet. It actually saves time this way, keep up the good work an i enjoy your videos
Man... Your work is top shelf. You may want to consider adding a couple of filters to your exhaust fans to make them last a little longer. I use Urechem as well, but never the 210 (usually use SPI universal). How does it compare to the medium solids 410?
I have only seen a few of your videos, but I had to join. Having had some instruction, I recognize your skill and your to the point descriptions. Saving up for my own equipment, I'll be here learning until then! Thank you Sir!
I have both of those stands that you're using......painted my hood the same way and it turned out great. Nice job ....the el Camino is going to look great
Another great video! I’ve always preferred to paint a hanging hood, or any part, but some shops don’t have the ability to, they only use saw horses. You should have taken that latch hardware off though.
Hey man, I was taught to paint the panel the way it sits on the car when it is a metallic/pearl colour. Something to do with the mica/flakes settling the “right” way. You should look into the flip-up stands, they allow you to access both sides and then turn the panel up/down so you can paint the bonnet horizontally. But they $$$ though Also it’s awesome you do the videos in Spanish, you’re tapping into a big audience doing both lingos
@@mitchellferre1652 cheers. I’m about to do my car in 2k black, followed by a subtle metallic flake, then finished with clear. I’m doing the bumpers horizontally though cos they’re at the bottom of the vehicle. And the shop I worked at always did em like that.
Great job. We’ve learned so much from your videos. I would love to see the reassembly of this particular car. I’m actually rebuilding an 83 el Camino right now and panel alignment is killing me. Any tips?
Beginner here. How come you didn’t touch up the bare metal areas with epoxy primer before spraying the whole thing with sealer? What is the job of the sealer? I heard that sealer is a reduced epoxy? Thanks for sharing
Hey I have a question about your spray booth I have always been told to paint from the exhaust fan to the intake fan so the over spray will land in wet paint is that a good way to paint or does it matter
@PHARRAWAY thanks for your response to this 60 yro man, thought I couldn't learn more to pass on to the younger generations that I employ in my very small flooring business, that also wants to learn about old cars from my generation
Great work PHARRAWAY! Can you recommend a brand or company where i can get some rack stands like for the doors, fender and hood? I'm in CA .. Thank you and love your inspiring videos..
What's the difference between painting it sideways and painting the side of the car? It's the same materials at the same angles, I kinda find the rules are common sense which you can break and which you can't, it's all about ease for yourself, I always like watching others do the same thing I do to get new ideas, between theirs and mine I generally find the best processes for myself and quality whatever the project.
Looks like a g body hood, header panel and mirrors, Nice skills yo!!!!

Great job and looking forward to the sanding process before flow coat.
Can't wait to see that car all put back together sitting out in the sun, those parts are looking awesome!

Excellent work! Love the gun light setup!

👍
Great job
I have a friend been doing this for years way more experience than hangs everything he can says its easier and comes out better to hang it up vertical
People crazy…. Just do your thing and keep inspiring

There is a lot of truth to this , especially with pearls

@J27M flake is very forgiving. It should be nice.
Pharraway is the man!
Bless you loved it

Painting the hood like that is just like painting the whole side of the vehicle same thing.
AMAZING!!!
Good stuff
I bought the luma exodus 1.5 OP gun but i passed on the light it was to pricey for me at the time but i am going to get it soon for base.
You will love that light👍

I did

in my case it does not matter
Super job brother 💪💪💪...What do you think of Sata 5500 cc?
good gun but waste more paint
what brand is your basecoat?
urekem paint
What color/paint code is that blue?
any solutions for a DIY hanger? Or is the only way to buy a panel hanger like that
When you wait 15min between coats, do you flush gun out? Or do you just let gun sit with paint or clear coat in it.?
I know this is probably going to be a really stupid question, but if it is painted vertically doesn't the flow help with reducing orange peel?
correct

When are you going to do a giveaway on a SATA lol
soon
I notice your fan with is wider for clear than base. Why
This is " primer " ..do you spray the basecoat and clear with the hood horizontal? Video is to long.
Vato needs a light in front of the paint gun 😒 as if it makes a difference at the speed your making the sweep. By then you've already made it 😒
Great work PHARRAWAY! Can you recommend a brand or company where i can get some rack stands like for the doors, fender and hood? I'm in CA .. Thank you and love your inspiring videos..
I get mine on amazon
