I loved the fact that Red was the only color you could see when in Nazi-occupied area and that liberated areas are fully colored. It was a neat detail that added to the atmosphere.
I got it as a kid for PS3 in '08-'09 and beat it, I switched to 360 in '11 and eventually got and beat Saboteur again in '13-14 for a good and cheap used game to kill time. I always loved it and thought it was amazing, I never knew it was disliked or panned by critics. The ONLY issues I had with it is the endgame. After you beat it you get to a point where you've gotten most of the contraband and get somewhat softlocked since you can barely buy stuff. It's also very repetitive and annoying freeing every single sector and getting all the collectibles(The only Achievements I don't have).
Playing on PC now, found way to up the res to 1280x1024...you can go higher but the map screws up, it is amazing in high def, played it on XBox 360 first, and this is my 2nd play through on PC, this game should have been a HUGE HIT !!! It got zero marketing......one of the greatest games of all time...

After all you can only make 1 or 2 videos on the studio, but add Saboteur, Mercenaries, Star Wars, Destroy All Humans, etc... and you can have hours of good content. Also, agreed. I beat this game on both PS3 and later 360 and always loved it, never knew it was considered "Mid" or bad.

The freeplay is also fun climbing houses, destroying Nazi sniper nests, playing ninja jumping from one house to another, being a god in stealth, contraband hunting via AA guns, this is much more than just a GTA clone. I'm doing the freeplay objectives but it's time consuming.

Randomly stumbled on your channel tonight and dude, seeing this game being played brings back so much nostalgia, I didn't know if anyone remembered it, I never had assassin's creed when I was younger but I managed to get this from a bargin bin at GameStop, and honestly I like it even more than AC. True oldschool masterpiece, shame what EA did to pandemic.

Oh man, you know I decided to look up the saboteur because it was a fever dream I had. I basically borrowed it from a friend when I was younger and I actually had to hide the game from my parents when I played it on the Xbox because I wasn't allowed to play m. Rated games. My mom would find them and snap them in half and throw them away. But I do remember trying to 100% this game liberates all the areas and complete fall the missions. Pretty sure I had one mission left but for some reason I stop playing
If they can remaster this game and the original mercenaries. The only thing that they can improve in this game would make it great would be adding a workable fast travel system and better loading. The fast travel especially in 2nd half of the game would be useful
@@Voiy haha yeh I've been drugged four times and ended up on somebody is porch then I went speak to the club manager. Saying I've been drugged and violated by one of yr bar tenders four times look at yr security footage so he did and found the guy who was doing it to me and fired him and I had him arrested and filed charges on him. He's been in prison for eight years now and still is in there. Probably some prisoners boy toy after I told the guards to tell the other prisoners what he did to me. So he's probably dead or getting violated. Because I hear prisoners don't take stuff like that kindly at all and they gang up or eliminate people who done stuff like that or beat em senseless

You can see Aurora's blue in black and white zones
