I don't think there was a lot more to do with the Saboteur. After France liberation, all the job was done by the americans and the soviets with their respective armies, no way to insert Sean there. Maybe a sequel during the Cold War in the divided Germany with Sean fighting the soviet occupiers and helping to destroy the wall, although he would be like 60 or 70 years old by that time lol
This game is such an underrated gem, not many people played it but those who did all love it, it had a super fun open world almost a decade before that was trendy

Yeah, if you look at the distant environments that aren't really close to you, the graphics are extremely subpar in this game. Definitely nothing on the same level as something like Just Cause 2, where the draw distance was immaculate and the graphics maintained a very high degree of fidelity for miles around you.

@@knitro9043 It's nothing you can't get on Pornhub anyway. The real benefit of the dlc, still not worth 10 bucks CDN, was a car. A nice pretty car you could win in a knife throwing minigame. Glad I got that for free.
This is a game I would highly recommend playing at either the middle of fall or the end of winter sometime when it’s nice and rainy. Makes the game really come alive.

I remember picking up this game at random in a "remainder's bin" at a local game store, as a teen in 2010, when I was a huge fan of open world games and WW2 geek. I recalled something of the review of the game from a pc gaming magazine from an year before and it intrigued me. Bought the game and rode my bicycle back home, slammed the dvd in the reader and installed it immediately...well, not immediately, it took the regular hour/hour and a half that games took to install back then (still better than installing Heroes of MM 3 back in the Win98 days though). Spent 2,99€ for this diamond in the rough, replayed it four times, last time during the pandemic lockdown.
God, I miss this game so much. I get depressed when people talk about it because my heart legitimately hurts that it never got a sequel. The best open world game ever made IMO

I love the janky hit registration on the cows where if it’s a direct hit with the rocket the gibs just fall on the ground rather than flying away like they do with splash damage, honestly not sure which is funnier lol
This is legitimately one of my all time favorite games and as a teenager there was a night a friend and I pulled an all nighter and got the highest possible score in the duck hunting mini game lol. Truly a masterpiece in my opinion.
But it was on a PC too. Your PC was a poop or you didn't pirate games? You can even buy it on GoG or from EA themselves. I don't know about the DLC tho.

well, technically, the first helicopters were used in WW2, so they could appear in a WW2 game (even on either side!), but they were in very limited numbers and they never really entered the popular culture about that era the same way flying fortress, Wunderwaffen and sherman tanks did

I'd really love it if a studio that's free from the chains of EA could make a remaster or even a sequel to this game. It's so underrated that it hurts 😪. It's literally a game set in open world paris where you play as an Irishman killing Nazis. The only issue I had with the game was the voice actors' terrible irish accent

This is probably the first PS3 open world game I owned though I didn't get my PS3 until a couple of years after it came out. I had so much fun with this. Its among the few open world PS3 games I actually completed more then once, and re completed after being forced to reset my PS3 to factory spec years ago. I think closing down Pandemic might be the most vile act EA committed prior to the eighth console generation.
I remember playing this on release, I loved it even more playing it recently. Other than the slow start it's amazing from start to finish and even rewarding and fun to play at max difficulty

Pandemic made the most enjoyable games as a kid. Mercenaries was glitchy but so damn fun blowing stuff up and using vehicles. I miss that game so much

They also weren't armed at all, and were generally only really used for transportation, and mostly in remote locations far from the front lines.

Its among the few open world PS3 games I actually completed more then once, and re completed after being forced to reset my PS3 to factory spec years ago. I think closing down Pandemic might be the most vile act EA committed prior to the eighth console generation.

I remember playing this on release, I loved it even more playing it recently. Other than the slow start it's amazing from start to finish and even rewarding and fun to play at max difficulty
