    When I was 18yrs. old the most worn out part on my '56 Ford was the back seat. Great restoration!

    Totally gorgeous. They knew how to build cars back in the day. The Ford crown Victorias were also beautiful. The cars of today have no beauty or class.

    Beautiful job on this one ☝️. I owned a’55 Ford Custom with stick shift and I6. Plenty of power and solid black. The Chevies couldn’t hold a candle to the Fords in my humble opinion. Oh well 😔.

    In '62, I had a '56 Crown Vic 4dr hardtop Black and white. Loved that car but the motor blew up so I traded it for a '59 Galaxie.

    Nice resto, but the headlight bezels are incorrect. They should be one color all the way around.

    Too bad about that "music", the aftermarket carb and valve covers. Can't say that "continental kit" adds to the attractiveness of the body.
    Otherwise beautiful "restoration" with correct colors. You can still get rid of those valve covers and that carb. The stock covers feature a nice ford decal. I had an Edlebrock carb on mine and it was just a "volume control", the more you pushed the accelerator the louder it got but there was virtually no change in performance although the gas mileage became even worse than stock.

      I have to say I believe the same when it comes to the engine. I also agree about the "continental kit", as I think it detracts from the lines of the car, even though it was factory stock. On a T-Bird, OK, but not on a full sized car. Overall, you have a drop dead gorgeous car. A show stopper, in fact. I'm envious. Take care of that car man, 'cause god knows there won't be any more like it. Keep it garaged and all the rest, as it's got "Best of Show" potential sometime in the future. Congratulations on an absolutely beautiful car.

    Is that a white over salmon? That lower colour is quite attractive. Nice job.

      Also am wondering about the color. My folks had a 56 Mercury, persimmon and white, though yours looks a bit more red. My aunt and uncle had a 55 Fairlane red and white, beautiful car.

    I don't think Ford used radials for tires back in '56.

    • @jacquespoirier9071
      @jacquespoirier9071 4 года назад

      firsts radials for american cars were introduced in the mid seventies.
      that was a huge improvement over bias tires

    • @troyadamson8618
      @troyadamson8618 4 года назад

      Back then the tires were bias ply. I think my 68 Cougar XR7 in highschool had bias ply originally.
