- Our 3' culvert could not handle 12" of rain we got over a period of 5 days, so the swirl is where the water should be going into the culvert, but it flowed over our driveway. Thanks to Jerry Pullin's help a few years back, we'd added more culvert, built gabion walls and filled it with rock. Our driveway had minimal damage when the water receded.
