I personally prefer non-historical, especially since you already have so much Historic content on the channel as is. Some of my most memorable games against the AI have come from having historic turned off.

Agreed, admittedly, due to so many countries locking in drastic changes early on, it is a case of start... wait a few seconds of running and checking opening focuses to know what direction the game looks to be going. But it is still fun to watch that/do it!

Nonhistorical with all the dlcs is cancerous, Russia goes in a civil war while at war with Japan while Germans naval invade Leningrad to have a border with the Soviets then reach Moscow. It anyways becomes a Battle Royale.

Of course not. Just few days ago, on newest version (1.9.3) I used it as a cherry on top in my Polish achievement run. Using order 66 to get Wojtek was beatiful
Edit - I tried to do Canada achievement run with order 66 on UK and France. And I think they changed how exiled divisions work. When you dont have military access, they will just idle there without supplies, as always. However, if you have access to someone with land connection to places where you want to do order 66, your units will all go to the place, where you do have access. So, when I joined axis before declaring war on the Allies, my units from France, South Africa and India all went to Germany and no H nor mouse clicking on Stop could stop them. So, using this order is trickier without military access. And in some cases probably impossible. Although I might be wrong, and this is my fault

That would be pretty hard. The only way I could see it happening is Wales going fascist and attacking ireland early. Then Camping and hoping Germany can kill off Britain, then turning against Britain. While of course helping Japan against China for infinite manpower
There are a lot of "countris" "regions" that can be released and played as but its a shame that you cant do anything with most of them it would be cool, if you could

Paradox should add a Celtic Union formable nation so that countries like Wales, Ireland, Brittany etc could be more playable and get more manpower, core territory etc.

For some reason, Costa Rica is called the Switzerland of Central America so I thought this would be a unique challenge.
By the way, Non-historical focuses seem more interesting.
It´s because Costa Rica was the first country that decided to abolish it´s army.

@@tomasvargas4268 But Switzerland does have an army, until recently, it was 400,000 men, but it is now been reduced to 100,000 men (mostly reservists). They just haven't fought anyone since Napoleon.

I think this would be an interesting challenge because you would have to get other nations to take and not take certain lands.

Non Historical just gives a greater variety of gameplay imo. That’s not always great for you though since you can’t really plan for events while playing like that.

I would like to see more non-historical focuses. I use it a lot, and wanna see you deal with a facist UK, or Monarchy Germany more. Plus, it adds an extra element of having to think fast, and work to counter balance the randomness for your goal
With non historical focuses, if you want stuff to w a k y, create a custom rule set and set the countries listed to random

Ha, fun retort for the Paratroopers! I agree and would actually use paratroopers more if there was a hotkey; or if the mechanic was otherwise changed to be less tedious
With regards to allied troop placement and orders, as far as I can tell it's affected by how many troops you have on a given border. Whenever I man a border with a lot of divisions, my allies tend to put no troops (or few troops) there. I'm not certain if it always happens, since I don't always check, but that is something I've noticed in my games.

idk why but i playing Romania is so much fun its a challenge (when you want it to be) and you are in the action as much as the majors and have the ability to grow and potentially challenge entire factions buy yourself without having to be cheap with the ai (making them attack your lines for a year to weaken their equipment)

Setting every country to random is how me and my friend play. Please still do some historical though, I like the idea of trying to reproduce what you do even though I never quite can.
AI probably acted like that due to supply problems with your forces there. So by removing your forces, your allies had the ability to be more aggressive. That's my best guess

Having a lot of puppets as Romania early on does save you from one problem: resistance and garrisons. I did a fast expansion as romania a few weeks back and I was crippled because of that.
Challenge: Play as Denmark and annex Germany and Italy. Optional: Japan and USSR
You can go any ideology and cannot use Chinese manpower.
No Order 66 (Against the Axis, at least)
You can form the Nordic Empire (but I'm not sure you can as Denmark I haven't checked)

Cause i was doing fast revolution (make all major countries communist as trocky) this challenge is opposite:
As Ivan Konev (civil war starter i guess?) win civil war and make major countries non-aligned (pupets)
Rules are:
-as soon as civil war starts you have to change your country to Russia (non-aligned)
- you cant change your ideology
- you have to get all russian empire territory before 1st world war
Hope you see it and try doing it!
