내년에 서른인데 아이유 좋은 날, 너랑 나, 하루끝 이 세 곡은 듣기만 하면 20대 쌩초반 어렸을 적으로 되돌아가는 느낌. 곧 나올 시간의 바깥은 11년과 19년 이 8년 동안 팬들에게 어떤 삶을 살았는지 떠올리게 할 법한 노래일 것 같음 잘 살아온 걸까 늘 어려운 나날이었지만 그 와중에 아이유가 전부였다고 하면 분명 오바여도 종종 아이유도 있었다 이런 가수가 몇이나 되겠나
갑자기 생각나서 보러왔는데 왜이리 먹먹하냐... 저 당시 11살이던 내가 19살이던 아이유랑 이현우를 보고 빨리 크고싶었는데 벌써 나도 19살이 되구.. 뮤비속에서 이현우가 안깨어나자 연인사이가 된 자신과 이현우보려고 타임머신 만들어 가버린 아이유랑 깨어나서 눈물고이는 이현우도 넘슬프고.. 그 당시에는 타임머신에 적힌 '2019' 라는 숫자가 너무 멀게만 느껴졌는데 이제는 불과 5개월밖에 안남았다니... 마지막에 둘이 상점에서 못알아보다가 알아보고 웃는거도 넘 슬퍼보인다.. 2011년으로 돌아가고싶음 ㅜㅜ 저 시절만의 그 뮤비 감성이 너무좋다 좋은날 뮤비도 그렇고
this was probably one of the first k-pop song I watch. I remember watching it a couple of times on repeat just to figure out what’s the context in MV and the lyrics, I thought it was a k-drama at first. in the comments back then, it ends at a conclusion that IU is trying to heal the boy that stuck through time (kind of like male version of sleeping beauty). but he could only healed by time and will back to life somewhere in the future. IU tried to persist to wait for him but she can’t wait anymore she wants to see him back asap, so she build a time machine to leap into the future so the boy can be healed in no time and she can meet him. after she did a time travel it’s like the boy didn’t recognize her, but later stop walking out hinting he might remembers IU. the sweet thing is IU didn’t be obnoxious when meeting the boy, she was just like “pls remember me 🥹”, meaning she would let him go just in case he don’t remember her.
IU was a pure and cute soul at that time. And now watching her be the most respected and loved solo singer makes me so proud. She deserved every inch of happiness.

I came here because of IU alone. I’m a new fan and she’s the only k-pop artist I admire. Been fangirling since I discovered that she’s a singer when I got intrigued by her after watching Hotel Del Luna and even more intrigued by her name, IU. And after that I watched MV and videos of people’s reaction to & interpretation of the lyrics. That’s when I knew that IU is not just an idol but a singer with substance. I didn’t know the deep meaning of this song and the connection with “Above the Time” until recently. There is an analysis about these two songs and how they are connected. The idea and the connection between the two are truly genius. Really masterpieces. For such young age and being talented and with a heart of gold, IU deserves all the love and success in the world.
i think i finally got the gist of the story behind the music video here. so obviously the girl (iu) likes the guy (hyunwoo) who is unconscious for some reason. it seems as though they've known each other and she clearly wants to be with him, but she can't because she is not old enough (?). in the song she said if you play with me i like you and if i ask you, you say you like me too technically. so in the time machine thing, she goes to the future hoping that somehow he would recognize her as an adult and love her then. in the video when she was staring at the toy train you see a mini version of her imagining "fantasies" of what it could be like for the both of them when they meet when theyre older. it also shows a slight scene of when he walks into the shop as well, which is shown at the end of the video. he recognizes her and she seems to as well. Basically, overall i think the main point of this video and the song is that she didn't want him to know her true feelings yet because she's not ready and wants to become an adult first in order to be with him. that is why she wants the time to go faster and yeah. i think the music video was absolutely perfect for the song. the song is already 5 years old and i still love it like crazy. Been fangirling since I discovered that she’s a singer when I got intrigued by her after watching Hotel Del Luna and even more intrigued by her name, IU. And after that I watched MV and videos of people’s reaction to & interpretation of the lyrics. That’s when I knew that IU is not just an idol but a singer with substance. Not just good in performance but there’s a deep meaning about the songs that she writes. She’s really creative & talented. Also her personality which is really down-to-earth and she treats her staff as family & cares for her fans as well. She has established a good image as a talented, genuine and lovable artist. I didn’t know the deep meaning of this song and the connection with “Above the Time” until recently. There is an analysis about these two songs and how they are connected. The idea and the connection between the two are truly genius. Really masterpieces. For such young age and being talented and with a heart of gold, IU deserves all the love and success in the world.

i think i finally got the gist of the story behind the music video here.
so obviously the girl (iu) likes the guy (hyunwoo) who is unconscious for some reason. it seems as though they've known each other and she clearly wants to be with him, but she can't because she is not old enough (?). in the song she said if you play with me i like you and if i ask you, you say you like me too technically. so in the time machine thing, she goes to the future hoping that somehow he would recognize her as an adult and love her then. in the video when she was staring at the toy train you see a mini version of her imagining "fantasies" of what it could be like for the both of them when they meet when theyre older. it also shows a slight scene of when he walks into the shop as well, which is shown at the end of the video. he recognizes her and she seems to as well. Basically, overall i think the main point of this video and the song is that she didn't want him to know her true feelings yet because she's not ready and wants to become an adult first in order to be with him. that is why she wants the time to go faster and yeah. i think the music video was absolutely perfect for the song. the song is already 5 years old and i still love it like crazy. (: *cries my childhood idol lol
