I think "find your passion" is terrible advice, and not just because it's so vague it means very little. "Find the money" is a better initial goal. There's probably a better one than that. Money doesn't buy happiness, as someone who won a family battle over a will, once said, but it sure makes misery a lot easier to live with. Actually maybe something that sounds obvious like, "first, start" might be better (zero expectations). Create your passion (for the time being). You don't need to be inspired to do your best today, so the kind of passion to create might be more like a passion for just "doing your best" (as an end in itself). Be sensible about this, though. Don't commit to it long term. One of the troubles with finding your passion is that what follows next can be disillusionment. Those who don't expect anything are never disappointed, as the old saying goes. If you're planning to enjoy your money one day when you retire, no, you're probably not going to, but you might suffer less if things go badly for you. In the absence of a better idea of what you love in life, though, just working for money (or for passion for the job) is better than nothing. In many places, maybe the best advice might be "Get Political" (workplace politics, I mean). Read Machiavelli, and try to put it into practice. Find a passion for workplace politics?

I'm so disappointed. Not a single black or Indian south African. U interviewed all the wealthy. Not even middle grade. Middle grade now earns approx R8000 to R12000. Below that we are classified as poor. I earn R6000 as a driver. It's only enough for rent and lights in a crap area. Have to rely on partner for food and if u lucky u get some luxury. Like a ice cream. 😏 Your interviews suck..
Well when I was still back in SA I earned more than most of the salaries that are talked about here. Got to trade school , get a skill or run your own business. You will make good money. There's a lot of black people making good salaries out there. Being a driver is not a sought after skill.
My 2cents worth coming from a good place with utmost respect and understanding of your comment.....try not to feel that people should do how you perceive/feel, especially if they're within their personal confines of interest/ behaviour and not necessarily infringing on others' right/s as people...otherwise you risk shortchanging your steadfast & independent personhood/ soul that your Creator created you with, to a lesser one that allows unnecessary negative infiltration by less demographic actions or behaviours.
ima go ahead and say it... she only interviewed white men. this is not a fair representation of most South Africans. with that being said, im still grateful for the content and I believe we need more of this type of content... just keep it real and make the title "asking white South African men how much money they make". im subscribing just to see future improvement, we'll see

To put you into perspective, a white South African person who finished high school yesterday earns on average 6 times what a black person with a PhD and 20 year work experience earns. I'm talking both of them doing the same job
I doubt they’re being honest about their income 😅
Anything below 25k is honestly poor, obviously 15k is better than 7k
That is NOT Southern Cape town are you mad?
The demographic and majority here is not represented, it's just upper middle class yt men.
i mean she is in Cape Town at a Farmers market, so i think you cant really blame her. loved the video.
@@LivingSA23 Yah but then the title should be different because the title makes it seem like the whole of SA is in farmers market lol.
LOL. I spotted a coloured 😅
@@StuckUpColouredzaza Could have fooled me 😄
@@nandisnicethings I know, I know... I also wasn't sure at first. But yeah. This does NOT represent zaza. I hope she takes note of our comments!
We want part 2
I'm 24 and currently earning R40k/month.
What do you do for a living? 😭🥹
Great content , pity not a rainbow nation .
The editing in this video is terrible. Spelling mistakes on their names and the frame skipping is old and very annoying.
Do the same, but only ask teachers these question.
ima go ahead and say it... she only interviewed white men. this is not a fair representation of most South Africans. with that being said, im still grateful for the content and I believe we need more of this type of content... just keep it real and make the title "asking white South African men how much money they make". im subscribing just to see future improvement, we'll see
Where are the women...?
Misleading
You should have titled it: Asking White Africans.
You couldn't find other people to interview?
You need to read the comments, see @leomutwa, hes black, he says he earns R60k pm. Stop with the racism and work a bit harder
Everyone can tell your race, because that's all you see and you are racist.
wish at least one woman was interviewed…
Why didn't she go to khayelitsha or gugulethu and ask the poeople there .this video is biased
`lol are these guys saying monthly . I would love 350 K
so unfortunate that there are no blacks
Cheesus, another victim everyone!!! Please give attention. I repeat, another victim.
Lol, it's Cape Town. Fakest city in SA
They don't have jobs
Uchuku Lilitha
That's because they are all in Khayelitsha
this healine is missleading.. where are the south AFRICANS!!
You blind
I spotted a coloured. Coloured people are ONLY born in South Africa 😅
Why is she interviewing men only, why is she not interviewing women as well as she is a woman herself?
