If I remember correctly, both SM and Spiral Stairs used the Lovetone Big Cheese. Which is a Big Muff clone with added features, if my memory does not fail me. Hope that helps.

There are no easy or hard drum beats. What makes every drum beat hard is to keep it exactly the same throughout the entire song.
