Sorry, but the info you're providing is NOT correct. This projector has a .47 dmd(native 1080P) chip, so it's still pixel shifting. Benq own webpage states it has a .47 dmd dlp chip.
The leakage on top of your screen is killing me bro. All you need to do is make sure it's projecting only within the canvas. Yours is going over the top mate
Yeah, it was killing me too was waiting for a new screen my TV stand was too low check it out with this beast instagram.com/stories/ebpman_reviews/2631101252411616374?
This Benq isn’t true 4K it’s a 1080p .47 dlp using pixel shifting to deliver a 4K resolution to the screen according to website. The cheapest real and TRUE (native resolution) 4K projector that is worth your money would probably be the Sony VPL VW325ES for 5500$
You don’t really need a 4K screen. You just need one will low screen texture. Just as during HD with 720p/1080p, manufacturers were touting existing screens as “HD Ready”. It’s a nonsense upsell.
@@ebpman it's an 1080p chip. The projector shifts the image 4 times in order to show 8.3 m pixels. It's a very advanced type of upscaling but it's not real 4k. The cheapest native 4k projector is Sony 325. The word ,,true" is used as misleading here. They are not allowed to use native 4k so they use instead true.
Please do correct your video. You are reviewing a very expensive projector and yet giving a very wrong information by continuously saying true 4K true 4K. Come on man, listen to us
The sad thing is that the tech in this will trickle down to sub $2000 units in a year or two and under $1500 in a few years, perhaps even $1000? Patience is King here! Of course, then there will be 8K, 16K, where does it end and who will be able to distinguish it? Perhaps projectors will be made obsolete by film-wall paper! No projection needed, pick your size? Humans are next! Better, stronger, smarter, faster! AI, that is!
It's native 4k. What it uses is pixel shifting to get the 4k. Take a look around how much a non pixel shifting UST 4k projector will cost. It will blow you away.

It's not native 4k. It's 8.3 million pixels are achieved by pixel shifting.
Correct. It is using quad-pixel shifting.
Regarding the 3D on the BenQ v7050i ...are you able to manually enable 3D mode for the viewing of side-by-side 3D content from RUclips?
Is there a memory function for zooming from 16:9 to 2.35:1? I have a wide screen screen. I don’t mind having gray bars in the right and left for 16:9

Price and gaming performance (input lag)?
Not good for first person shooters. I have a 500 discount code coming
Is the $500 discount code ready?
This one Vs LG hu85la which one is better image quality plz plz reply
What about rainbow effects Did you see any?
None I can see
Could we get white wall performance/experience? Or does it have to use a screen?
You can use a wall. But the contrast, and colors will be more vivid with a screen. The daylight capabilities I show here will be more washed out
Estimated pricing?
$ 3499

After so many years there is still confusion between ,,true" and native 4k.
All their docs state True 4K UHD with 8.3M Pixels.

@@georgepopescu1327 yep 👍
Thanks for this review !!!!
Thanks for the comment. Great projector
Hello how high is the screen from the actual furniture holding the projector?
Its about 12 inch. Its too high I have a new screen in that i am testing its much lower and no spillage.
@@ebpman Nice excited to see the new screen
Did I miss the price?
I didnt quote it since they change so often. I will have a firm price and discount code next week..
What about dust?
This Projector doesen´t have any type of filter....
Does this projector do 123" ? I read on some websites and it can do 123"
The specs on BenQ's site state 123" max.
I don't believe Netflix is available though, will need to use some other streaming stick if you want Netflix
To have netflix on the unit they have to have a certain amount of units sold. I have seen this from others too.
Gaming input Lag?
Not gaming first person for sure. But others ok
You are so wromg. There is no true 4K DLP chip on the market. It still uses pixel shifting. Why are you giving wromg information.

After 4 years no brand produced a real 4k UST projectors only Sony can do that, what's wrong in this industry!?¿?
It's cost and marketing madness. True 4K VS native 4k and so on
Tue 4K (pixel shifting haha)
No pixel shifting on this one

Lol. Find me a native 4k PJ for $3500 and I'll eat my shoe.
Not the most affordable.
