Makes me want to go back to Japan so much! I left Junie Moon empty handed in 2014 because I was so overwhelmed (and already had plenty of Blythes back home.) I love how they mix in cute vintage items for their displays- so inspiring. I think next time I'll try to completely skip tokyo and go to Osaka, since they have a store now. Lol.
I pretty much left empty handed too...I had already spent all my money on other dolls so I only got a mug and a pair of stockings...I can't wait to go back to Japan and go better prepared 😆
in the very early 1990s, I was at a toy collector show - got the BLONDE Kenner Blythe in the BOX ...not opened -- for $40.00 ! (it did not have the shrink wrap) . Later the next year I sold it for $125.00 BUT should have waited till the late 1990s / early 2000s to sell it instead! Certainly the biggest mistake I ever made as a collector . I also found a used played with brunette at a garage sale after the pandemic stopped. Paid $20.00 , but she had a haircut.
Oh wow!!!!! I have a video about my biggest collector mistakes and I thought this comment was on that one 😂 that stinks! I had a similar one with some Harrodd LE frozen dolls 😭
I’ve been wanting your opinion on these dolls as a new doll hobbyist...Also, I’ve been to Tokyo many times on business and had no idea about these shops, back in the day! Oh, to go back in time and visit again!
Thanks for taking us around the shop. I love the Blythe doll, I have x2. However, I'm surprised that I only saw one dark-skinned doll there. Doesn't seem very diverse, I guess maybe because its in Japan? Anyway, it was great, I'd probably buy everything in there if I went
Sadly there was not a lot of dolly diversity at all in Japan. The Smart Doll store was the only store that had skin tones besides ghost white, Lilly white, and white that has maybe been out in the sun 5 minutes.

I would probably just end up buying one of everything if I visited. Looks great though.
It was very hard to resist 😆
My favorite part was you waving at us in the mirror! Such a cool spot! I wish we had hidden doll shops around here!🌟
LOL!! I wish we did too. Maybe one day when we're old ladies we can open a shop together 🤔
Thank. You for your sharing 🥰🥰🥰

やぁこもいる!
All of these dolls made in Japan, but there is no any doll with asian face.
They were originally from America
But it would be nice to see Asian dolls too.
