I think you have your locations for the exhaust/intake tubes reversed. The exhaust should exit the side of your rig, and the fresh air tube can be aimed inwards. This way, exhaust gasses doesn’t get trapped underneath your rig.
Hi, can you tell us how the heater goes please. Does it heat the van well? Would you need to keep it going all night do you think or could you warm the van up earlier and turn it off when going to sleep? Love the idea of it being so cheap and the tick probs wouldnt bother us as I have hearing aids that come out when i go to bed obviously so probs wouldnt hear it if it is not too loud.
The heater goes great, we aren’t fussed with the ticking at all either! You won’t hear it at all if you are taking out hearing aids to sleep 😂 Weise it to heat and then turn it off when sleeping, sometimes we will wake in the early hours when it’s very cold and turn it on via the remote from bed and sleep for a couple of hours with it on so the van is super toasty when we wake up. Important message to take away from this is make sure you have a carbon monoxide alarm as this is an alarm that senses the silent killer and wakes you up!
Why did you choose to pull power from the inlet where extra solar plugs on? Its not isolated from the battery or external source if you plug a spare panel.or source in
IMO, i don’t feel confident that the diesel tank which is just being held by 3 or 4 screws will hold. Especially when the tank is loaded with diesel and the van is subjected to vibration/corrugation. When I did ours, I placed the tank on the rear bumper. It’s been 3yrs now and still no issues
@@thewilsonstakeonoz True. Seen few of them but all that I have seen are the tank is mounted on a vertical back. Whereas yours got an angle. That means there are 2 forces that will be acting on the screws, pull out and shear forces. If mounted on vertical surface, it will just be shear force acting on screws.

Thanks for your comment but so far so good, haven't had any issues with trapped exhaust :)
Well done.
Thanks!!
So good
thanks!
Top job
Thank you!
wow look at all that conduit under there
better than duct tape
Nice job 👍 , can you hear the pump clicking inside 🤔
thanks, you can but doesn't bother us as its not too loud.

Not sure what you mean, we haven't changed anything where the solar plugs in?
Do you get smoke out the back when it starts up and does it has a ticking noise inside the van
On the very first start up there's a bit of burn off smoke, however hasn't smoked since. Yes there's a slight tick, but we aren't bothered.

Yeh ive seen a few others mount where we did and haven't had issues. Although I am also considering a base plate for additional support.

We will see what happens
